Nice cabin
We enjoyed staying at this cabin. It had everything we needed and was clean. Wish the lake was up, but it was a short drive to the water. Would definitely stay again.

Cozy cabin but listing needs updated
The owner is very nice and the cabin is “cozy clean and very reasonably priced. It has a new grill and places to hang out outside. The only complaint is the lake is at 55% of capacity (still lots of lake don’t worry!)but the pictures in here of the view of the lake are incorrect. It is a mossy field now since the lake doesn’t start for a mile or two from the property now. The lakes fullness will fluctuate and I understand that. But it was frustrating because we picked this place instead of a place closer to our friends campsite that was also lower in price because we thought it was close to water. It was misleading. Other than that the stay was pleasant.

Best Little Cabin around the lake
We came to downs our anniversary at Lake Mac. Although the fishing was not great, we had a wonderful time in this cute little bungalow. This meets all your needs to shower, sleep and cook/grill if you would like. Pet friendly and our dogs loved it. If you and a few buddies or your spouse are looking for a great place to stay that’s within15 miles of the lake, this is it!! Property manager is very kind and responsive. .

I paid for a lake view the water is less then 50% full. I was charged a cleaning fee of $90 the place was filthy. Pots and pans were junky the bathroom smelled like mold there were bug splatter’s and old food all over the wall’s. The cupboards were greasy the refrigerator and stove filthy. The owner needs to fire whoever they hired to clean and up grade their amenities. Blankets towels kitchen dishes pots and pans. There should have been a break in the price for this property as it was advertised as lake view. Window screens are missing the ac leak’s outside we had to empty the bucket. The trash can outside was very full from previous renters . I did message with the owner before we got there and once looking for the remote control to the tv. He seemed nice enough as far as communication went. I wouldn’t stay there again without this place having a major overhaul. Once again they need to FIER the HOUSE CLEANER!!!!

First Birthday Trip
We took our family to the lake to celebrate our sons first birthday. The property was a bit run down and not very clean. The dishes were I cleaned or dusty. There were dead bugs all over the walls. The instructions said to wipe things down and the wipes we’re dried out so we bought more. We all hurt ourself on the branches on the ground and my son fell and nearly busted his head open on the coffee table. The outdoor areas were unkept with con webs everywhere. The property manager did call to make sure we got in okay. Check in was easy. The lake wasn’t accessible or visible from the cabin as it is so low right now. At night there were so many bugs on the door that frogs would come and enjoy. My kids loved catching the frogs and seeing them out and about. Overall the property was okay but likely wouldn’t return.

Comfortable place
Nice comfortable cabin. It has all the essentials for your stay ( kitchen utensils , bathroom essentials and all kind of sheets, blankets and towels). The water of the lake if low so you will need to drive around 15 minutes to access the water( don’t forget to pay the entrance fee to the lake). There is a functional grill and a nice fire pit on the backyard. The weather was very hot and the cabin maintain a cool temperature ( when you are in the cabin, turn on the AC and the fans). We left some window a open during the night to cool down and in the morning you can hear some birds around. The WIFI didn’t work but it was not a problem for my family. The host is very helpful and answered our questions promptly. I recommend this cabin for a family getaway!

Awesome Stay!
My little family of 4 wanted a weekend away to relax and go to the beach whenever we felt like it. This little cabin did not disappoint. It was perfect size not too big not too small. My twin 2 year olds loved to play outside and walk down to the water. I would definitely use this space again in future trips!

Autumn get away
Amazing two bedroom cabin with everything one could need for a few days or a couple of weeks! Beautiful area, quiet neighbors, fully equipped with television stations of all genres. We would definitely stay here as often as we could.

The property was hard go find. The building did not have an address on the exterior which left me guessing and knocking on doors until I finally found it. The property needs upgrades and cleaning inside and out.

Underwhelmed.
Reiterating the past three reviews- this property listing is very deceiving and should be updated asap. For the total price per night after cleaning & pet fees, you would expect to walk into a home that matched the description provided in the listing- "New Grill, 3-minute walk to the beach, and wifi" - none of these claims are accurate. The grill was very disgusting and dirty, the closest water access is about a 15 minute drive from this property currently, and there was no wifi. The owner should make that clear to VRBO guests in the listing. On top of that, the property seemed like it was in disarray & not taken care of anymore. We found cobwebs and existing pet hair under kitchen cabinets, dirty kitchen cookware, and very dirty floors as some of the other reviews have mentioned. With a high dollar cleaning fee that is completely unacceptable. We would not stay at this property again.

The property wasn’t clean as expected hair in the shower and the drain. The kitchen and dinning room floor was really dirty had to wear shoes. The beds are smaller than we realize when renting the cabin.

Only stayed 2 of the 7 nights that we prepaid for. This vacation was a complete disaster!
The picture of the property was much cleaner than it actually was. When we arrived we noticed that the property was for sale and looked as if they didn't care about it anymore. The lake that was by the cabin was too low to put the kayaks in and full of exposed underbrush so couldn't even swim there. Most restaurants that had shown on the internet to be currently operating were actually permanently closed. Property was within feet of a very active train track that woke us several times each night. Was unable to reach owner when I had questions and voicemail was not operating. Completely unhappy and disappointed in this experience. Unfortunately we left after only 2 days when I had prepaid for 7... loss of a family vacation due to false advertising

Perfect quiet get away
Location is a great spot for a family looking to chill, we brought our teen and his friends to celebrate the start of summer we rented a boat and it was a quick 10 minute drive to the public beaches and marina House was clean, cute and had everything we needed

Wonderful Weekend Getaway!
We got in so easy and he was accommodating to the fact we rolled in so late. The house was so clean and I felt right at home! I loved the big bathroom and the view from the front porch. That was where we spent most of our time while not at the lake! I would definitely consider renting from them again!

Great Getaway!
We had such a great time here. The place is cozy for sure but it fit us just perfectly. It was also very clean. It is close to the beach but we chose to drive 3 minutes down the road to one that was a bit more conducive to playing in the water for the kiddos. Bill was such a nice and helpful host, willing to answer any question at any time! We would definitely recommend this place given that you can handle only one bathroom! Thank you so much for allowing us to stay!

Unexpectedly Cold September Week
This small house is very cozy and "tight" meaning that even though the wind howled outside and it rained all night the first night we were there, we stayed warm and dry. We were not expecting to use the heat but we did and it worked. Kitchen very adequate for one person prepping a meal. The appliances were clean and there was enough dishes and cookware. Bed comfy. Plenty of extra blankets, pillows, and comforters--all worn but clean. There was enough hot water for a long shower, although the bathroom stayed fairly cool. It's large and set up with a bookshelf which was great for spreading out all our toiletries. Lots of extra towels--worn but clean. The house is not right "on the water" but one can view the water from the picnic table on the porch and the picture window by the indoor table. We used the fire pit on the only calm, warm night we had, and it was lovely. Plastic chairs are provided but only two of the five were intact---the others were breaking and had spider webs on the bottoms (with a spider!) We brought our own chairs and would recommend that anyway, presuming you have warm weather and can hang out on the white sand beach. It's a short drive and very pretty. TV had dish TV so the times we were inside and not reading, we were watching TV. Could also get music on five stations which was nice. Bill and Judah are a very nice couple who checked in with us a couple of times to make sure we had all we needed. Although this is not a fancy place, it was homey and we enjoyed our stay here. We would stay here again.

We just had a short visit there but we can only say good things. The property owners were so polite and accommodating. We got there a little early and they we not quite finished with the cleaning process from the day before but they were so nice about us being there early. We will definitely be back.

We had the best time! The cabin was clean and easy to access. The only thing was we thought there were two sets of bunk beds because the listing shows a bunk bed with two different sets of bedding. Once you look at it more, it's obvious its the same room. Oops, our bad. Other than that, we had no complaints. Thanks for a great stay!

Great getaway!
It was so nice to have the owners stop by and check in on us to make sure we had everything that we needed. The cabin was quaint and clean! It had everything that we needed. We were able to drive right down to the beach and enjoy the stars and a fire every night. Very close to a boat ramp as well, which was important to us. Would definitely return!

Cabin at Big Mac
We arrived to a nice two bedroom cabin, a short walk from the lake. We enjoyed the pleasant scenery, and comfortable accommodations. The fisherman of our family caught two catfish the first morning. Bill generously allowed two of our friends, that at the last moment wanted stay two nights, to stay with our party of three at no extra charge. They comfortably slept on the spacious fold out bed. Our only regret was that we didn't book the whole week. I would definately recommend the property and the owners.

Relaxing getaway!
My friend and I spent a girls weekend at the cabin and it was a great time! The cabin was very nice and had everything we needed. The private beach nearby was nice and quiet. The cabin is in a small community by the lake but still felt secluded. The people we did see were friendly. Perfect for a quiet, low maintenance weekend.
