Adorable cottage! Loved everything. Owners are very friendly n helpful, bed was super comfortable, enjoyed sipping complimentary coffee/tea on the front deck and relaxing by the gas fire pit. Loved all the little extra touches in the cottage. Owners thought of everything.

The hosts were very friendly and treat their customers well; providing dining and activity recommendations that were spot on. The cabins were comfortable and had basic amenities. We mostly ate out but used the gas grill one night and it worked well.

Overall beautiful property Nessled between the pines but located very close to a truck route and very noisy all day and night. The hosts are very accommodating and also give great recommendations for places to visit. Location of property is great.

Cara,We are glad you appreciated the location and how accommodating we are to our guests. To be clear we are not located on a truck route that runs all day and all night that's not the case and we hope you can correct this in your review. Like most all mid-coast lodging locations, we are lucky to be near route 1 and set off back in the trees as you noted. What makes this location fantastic is how central our guests are to everything mid-coast.

Owners are super attentive and go out of their way to make your stay a great experience. Cabins are exactly as pictured and described. Cute little antique shop right next door that's walking distance. Tons to do and see in the area and the owners are super knowledgeable and full of suggestions. Great stay!

Delightful stay
This was an unexpected treat. Nice little cottage in the woods with first class amenities. The owner was very friendly & we enjoyed our stay very much. Also it was pet friendly which was a bonus. It’s hard to find a very nice place that excepts dogs & welcomes them. Highly recommend this hidden secret.

When they say the cottages have evolved you need? You do! The only thing I looked for was an iron but who wants to iron anyway?

The cottages are nestled in a wooded area close to the historic highway spanning the state. It’s easy to find dining heading north or south. The cottages are equipped with all the necessities and are a charming place to stay! We loved the hospitality of the owners and appreciated their friendship and care!

This is a wonderful group of about 10 individual rustic cabins that provide all the comforts of home in a miniaturized version. The innkeepers are the friendliest people in Maine, which is saying something because everyone is so friendly. The cabins are recently renovated and very reasonably priced. We will be sure to visit again if we ever have a chance to get that far up the coast.

Cottage is adorable. Owners were nice. I was bummed the Lobster Festival was canceled and information wasn’t updated stating it was canceled. This was wasn’t their fault but the reason why I went in the first place.

Short stay but could easily do more
Very nice little cottage, well equipped and comfortable. This would be an excellent base to stay while exploring the area. I will book again my next trip to Maine.

Wonderful place all to ourselves. This place is something special and we plan on returning one day (we live in va so it’s a long journey). We loved our stay here. The owners are so sweet and nice to talk to! They helped us with recommendations on where to go, what to see as well as options of where to eat. They were very kind and almost felt like family by the time we left! They have cozy fire pits and blankets if you’re cold. They have nice cozy cabins and the beds were wonderful! We will be back one day! Thank you for everything, Pine Grove!

Quaint cottage with modern updates
My husband and I used the cottage as a base for day trips in the area. The hosts we awesome and gave us get tips on things to see in the area. The cottage was an original quaint beach cottage that has been updated with modern conveniences. We loved the homey feel of our cottage and it was perfect for two people. It was spotless and had many little things we didn’t expect. The location was perfect for enjoyment along the mid-coast. We’d surely book again when visiting the area.

Cozy Cabins
The hosts were really friendly and accommodating, and the cottages are cozy. It was nice having a kitchen and being able to cook a romantic dinner. On the other hand, the mattress was incredibly hard and uncomfortable, and the pillows were plastic pillows like you'd find in a hospital... so sleeping was hot and uncomfortable... I will bring a matress pad and my own pillows on my next trip. (And I enjoy camping and don't generally mind a firm mattress but there is a line between firm and hard.) Overall it was a great value in a wonderful location and will be my go-to accomodations when I visit the Maine coast.

We just did a 5 day loop starting and ending back in Boston, going to the White Mountains in NH, out to Stonington, and staying here was probably our favorite lodging experience. Owners are so hospitable, used the lobster boiling pot and the grill for a great locally sourced meal, and felt so cozy in our cabin in the woods so close to the sea. Location is great as was perfect distance from Stonington, state park right next door with amazing vistas, and great drive down the coast. Great place!

Awesome cottage by the ocean
I chose this destination based on the great reviews, even though I haven't stayed in a cottage in 50 years. What a wonderful place to spend the night. The cottage was large and well appointed, clean and lovely.

Barbara and Garry are wonderful hosts and provided tons of helpful information about the area. The cottages are charming, very clean, and stocked with the basics for a home-cooked meal (also outdoor grill on the porch!) The Red Barn Bakery next door is a great place to pick up pastries and gifts.
