This is not 4* warning do not book!!!
Hotels.com relocated us to this hotel after the original hotel we booked couldn’t check us in due to being overbooked. We arrived for check in at 1am tired having spent most the day travelling. The person who checked us in was rude and demanded that hotels.com pay for 15 days worth of parking as that is what they saw on their system. They refused to check us in unless £150 was paid in addition to the fee already paid to them for bed and breakfast accommodation. We explained that we didn’t even have a car but they refused to check us in until payment was received. We explained if the booking said we needed 15 days parking then it must be an error and given the booking had only been made 10 minutes earlier could we not sort it out in the morning. Hotels.com kindly sent over new credit card authorisation and we checked in over an hour later. The room was mediocre at best with dated furniture conwebs all over and a very uncomfortable bed. They put us in a family room with 3 beds despite only 2 of us checking in. There was barely any room to move inbetween. In the morning when attempting to have breakfast they refused us saying that they wouldn’t honour the breakfast as hotels.com had only paid an additional £90 for the fly drive parking we had not requested and they wanted the full £150. Awful service, rude management and unsightly rooms. AVOID this 2* accommodation and service!!!

Picked this hotel because of location close to the airport. Turns out it is one block from the central station in Hounslow . There is a subway that goes directly to green park close to the Buckingham palace., subway also goes to the airport only a few minutes away. The hotel is an 1880s mansion converted into a bed and breakfast. Two blocks from the main street with lots of shopping in good places to eat, there is also a 24 hour convenience store right across the street. Would highly recommend this motel but don’t expect it to be like the Hyatt much more charming and like going back in time. Highly recommend

The facility was very close to the Hounslow Central tube station, as advertised. However, we were not prepared for all of the stairs on the property. Our room was on the 3rd floor, and the main floor was one level up from the street, so effectively we were on the 4th floor. The breakfast room was on the ground floor, below the main floor. This property was not a good choice for an older couple with limited ability to handle stairs. We also misunderstood the room we would have. We were given the impression that we could request a room with a king bed, but were given a "family" room, with an ordinary double bed and two additional single beds. This did not work well for us, but another party might appreciate a 4-person room. The facility was clean, and bedding was good, but atmosphere and decor were basic, and overall we did not see it as a good value for what we paid.

Charming hotel very close to Hounslow Central tube
It's an old victorian - so the floors and walls creak - but it's really quite quaint and charming. The hotel manager contacted me before my stay so I knew how to get ahold of him if there were any issues. The surrounding area has alot of really close options for eating, pharmacy, beauty salon, and several grocery stores. Will definitely stay here again.

Initially the booking was great, good communication and friendly staff. HOWEVER upon arrival at 23.20 - business guest. I found the room to be dirty and musty. The curtains had what looked to be bird poo running down them from the top. The floor had not been mopped as there were also splash marks, food and god knows what else stuck to the it. The bathroom was disgusting, plughole in the shower was yellow, mouldy and filled with hair there was also muck in the bottom of the shower when I arrived, I rinsed it away and found the filthy plughole. The vanity mirror for shaving was so thick with dust it was greasy. I booked a double room advertised with a king sized bed I only had a double bed - when I mentioned this the manager he stated they do not have king size beds... I advised him to amend his listing as that’s really not my problem. Continental breakfast was a joke it looked to consist of cereal that had not been replaced in about a decade, I suspect thats because no one eats it so it never needs re filling. It’s also very worth noting COFFEE is instant no filter available. 👎 After explaining to the manager about the room he said “I beg to differ” Basically calling me a liar. He requested that I show him the room?? I had to leave for work and find coffee and breakfast at extra cost to me. Travellodge over this place 100%

Wonderful Staff!
I booked this little guest house in the middle of the night for my daughter who was staying at a very dirty and noisy hostel. She arrived unbeknownst to the staff, but the manager was so nice and accommodating she immediately booked the next two nights there. He made her a wonderful breakfast in the morning. I felt completely at ease with our choice after the hostel blunder! I highly recommend this if you need to be close to Heathrow.

All looked great on the Internet. Entrance - carpet we'll worn and grimey. My room was downstairs and on entry had a damp / stale smoke smell. Despite the signs stating no smoking clearly someone had been smoking in the room. No toilet paper in the bathroom. The shower was fairly pathetic and the drain clearly needs unblocking as the shower basin started filling up! The one saving grace was the breakfast which was good all though steep at £10. It's a shame it promised a lot but didn't live up to the write up on the Internet.

Handy for Twickenham. Reasonably priced.
Crompton B&B is about 20 mins walk from Hounslow train station and very close to a rather nice free shuttle to and from Twickenham, alternatively £11 in a taxi, about 10 minutes. There is a bus too. Right next door to a pub, what’s not to like? Now then, onto the B&B itself. Clean, comfortable if a little gaudy and tired. Fridge door hanging off, but fridge worked and at least there was one. Decor rather glitzy and chrome(y) but as I say, very clean and for a one nighter, perfectly adequate and value for money. Breakfast...well we were seated at a table by the window with a quite hideous dried flower arrangement, which looked dirty and capable of dropping all sorts of horrors onto our breakfast. Shifted it. Breakfast itself was substantial, cereal, fruit, full English, toast. A bit Fawlty Towers ish. Plates were stone cold as were bacon and mushrooms. Toast came out untoasted and when we asked for it to be toasted we waited quite a while and then could clearly hear the sound of toast being scraped. Out it came, black with little scraped brown bits. Ok, I’m saying all this as it was quite comical. Seriously, though, I would stay here again for an overnighter. It is clean, staff were very pleasant and helpful and it is very reasonably priced. Ideal for a trip to Twickenham.

Avoid this guest house
I must rank "terrible" for my stay at Crompton because my first night there was not in Crompton GH, but forcibly relocated to a run-down room inside an unlisted and probably unlicensed place about 100 m away from Crompton. Our room is not accessible through the main door of the house, but through a narrow smelly lane (about 30 m long, 1 m wide) which is filled with pigeons’ dung and flies the size of ten pence coins! The gate, though "locked", can be easily opened without key. The premises which I was put up is not listed because there is no sign indicating that it is a guest house; it is very likely an unlicensed place and must not be used for any commercial purpose, particularly as guest house for obvious safety reason. Inside our room, nothing is right: broken hair dryer, beds with coffee stains, cushions with stains, cutlery with food stains, moulds on walls, kid's writings on walls, failed lighting in toilet, noisy aircon, noise from the tube track right next to our room, grease and stains all over the stoves, the microwave and exhaust fan, half broken toilet door, spiders crawling around the bedding, etc. We refused to accept it, but was told by the proprietor that no room was available at Crompton in the first 2 nights of our stay! We asked for refund, but turned down rudely by proprietor who scolded at me in front of my teenager daughter for seeking help from Expedia.com.The way Crompton Guest House handled my case is disgraced London and Hounslow.

The Guest booked a twin room and thought a Microwave is in the room.We do provide but is subject to availability and not for every room.He had emailed us and I advised him the same.He then said he was actually looking for kitchen facility/apartment.I advised we have a studio apartment which is nothing to do with Crompton Guest House which he could have instead.The guest confirmed he wanted this option and not the twin room.When the guest arrived I dealt with him and then my Manager, Alaska showed him to the studio flat and then it transpired that the guest was now stating that he did not want a full apartment just a microwave.I said we do not have a microwave free now and that also the only room we have is a family room and not the twin room as he advised he did not want that in his emails.I then offered the guest to either come back and stay here in the family room as per his booking at no extra charge.The guest said he was happy to try one night and if he was comfortable he would continue his stay there in the studio flat.The following morning the guest had complained to Expedia which is his prerogative to do so but we were dealing with him directly and there was no force to take the apartment if it was not to his satisfaction and was only offered because he asked for this instead.He could have just stayed at Crompton. We were only acting on what he said he wanted and I strongly refute his claim that we have acted incorrectly. As per our terms and conditions I could not cancel his reservation as he wanted.The guest then had the family room as twin was not free and I bought a microwave to ensure his satisfaction.He stayed in this room at no extra charge for the rest of 8 days and he had no complaints with his stay at Crompton.The pictures are not of Crompton Guest House.We tired our best and I am sorry the guest was unhappy for the 1st night only.

Due to BAW flight stop, we were stuck for a room, but to charge us 900 euro was just greedy. We stayed in 5 star hotels that cost half the price. Room was 2 long staircases from entrance, no fireplace as mentioned. Neighborhood didn't feel safe. There was a tiny light in bath mirror which looked like a hidden camera. Sleep in airport b4 you stay at this 11 room rooming house.

You had booked a twin room yet were given a family room and I am sorry that it still was not to your satisfaction. I can confirm that there is no hidden camera in any guest room as that would be illegal and is in fact a mirror light. We have had numerous good feedback from other guests and hope that should you choose to stay again that we could make your stay an enjoyable on.

Sad that Expedia lends themselves to such unethical practices. Manager was rude biligerant argued with me and my niece two women alone slammed his hand on d so several times asked him to please calm down. Told him he was sterling from people taking advantage his hotel is not worth 20 dollars a night let a line 1200a night shame on Expedia place was in a scary side of town awful was up all night noises scarred couldn't wait to leave I would like my money back this was an outrage

The experience was as expected. This hotel, a family run business, met our expectation.

Sunny and his staff did everything to make our stay as comfortable and easy as possible. The next time I fly out of Heathrow Airport, I will stay at Crompton guest House. Sunny will treat you like family..........Can't get better than that!

Good place to stay for a trip into London.
It offers free secure parking for guests and is a comfortable, clean and welcoming place to stay, with easy tube access to central London.
