Price to value

Posted Oct 17, 2014
Though an excellent hotel, the surcharges offset the very good customer service. Paying for wi-fi at very high prices in this sort of hotel is so uncommon that it leaves a bad taste: like picking up a new car and finding the tank empty. Priced above market, but breakfast outstanding and service otherwise very good.

Nice Hotel, but...

Posted Oct 7, 2014
It had nice rooms, excellent restaurant, and pool. But service in the restaurant is not up to international standards. Especially when charging 400+ pounds per night. Not easily accessible to any major destinations in London. London zoo, however is a 30 min walk. The nearest Underground station is a good 20 min walk. Staff are not trained to give proper directions to guests. Btu it is a cozy hotel nevertheless

Dear Guest, Thank you very much for reviewing your stay at the London Marriott Hotel Regents Park. We are glad that you liked the hotel overall and that you were pleased with your room, the restaurant and swimming pool. We were, however, concerned to read your comments about some aspects of the service you received and have passed these on to management: we usually receive very positive feedback about our restaurant and concierge teams so we are truly sorry that your experience did not meet our usual high standards. Regarding our location, our closest Underground station, Swiss Cottage on the Jubilee line, is a short 5 minute walk from the hotel (1/3 of a mile) and provides direct access to Wembley, Baker Street, Green Park for Buckingham Palace, Westminster and more within just 15 minutes. Within a 15 minute walk of the hotel there are also two more Underground stations: Chalk Farm on the Northern Line and Finchley Road on the Metropolitan and Jubilee lines. In addition, the lively markets of Camden Town, the panoramic views from Primrose Hill and ZSL London Zoo in Regent’s Park are all within a 20 minute walk from the hotel. Thank you again for your comments and feedback and we hope that you will choose to stay with us again in the future. Best regards from the team at the London Marriott Hotel Regents Park

Nice Hotel in Regents Park

Posted Oct 6, 2014
We very much enjoyed our stay at Marriott Regent Park mostly due to the staff and service they provided. They are very friendly, courteous and helpful. We also liked the location that was amid a residential area making it much more quiet and little traffic. The hotel is also walking distance to the Camden market where there's so many things to see, do and shop. We will stay here again!

Lovely hotel in a great location

Posted Sep 29, 2014
Pros: The concierge staff were extremely helpful and knowledgable, even when we were all flustered and running late for our train home.
Cons: We were a group of four adults in a twin double room which was smaller than I anticipated. You couldn't walk around the 2nd bed.
Location: Guests should definitely take a stroll to primrose hill then onto regents park road for shopping, eating and drinking at a slower pace of life.
The location is very convenient for everything London has to offer. A quiet, leafy, seemingly safe neighbourhood just a short tube ride or walk to the hustle and bustle of London. It gave us the best of both worlds for a girls weekend away.

Brilliant staff but weird scraping heard at night

Posted Sep 29, 2014
Very professional, welcoming and attentive staff. Hotel very handy for tube. Bar food, drinks and breakfast all very good. Eventually slept well, but kept awake until well after midnight by furniture/trolly moving sounds above. We were on 1st floor.

lovely stay here recently

Posted Sep 5, 2014
Pros: staff, ambience, food, room, pool, service, all of it
Cons: our room had an interconnecting door to next room, and was left unlocked so maybe this not happening, but wasnt really an issue as resolved
Location: fairly close to swiss cottage underground station - so easy access to central london about 40 ins steady walk to london zoo / regents park
went for sight seeing visit to London with my brother and 2 young nephews really impressed with this hotel poss a little far out than first thought - but short taxi ride cleared that up we had a double double room and it is lovely, clean, comfortable and well decorated we are able to book in upon our arrival in the morning, which was great the cafe and restaurant for breakfast was great - all good quality, still with London prices, but hey the pool is lush too

Great Staff, Good Price, Convenient

Posted Sep 2, 2014
Pros: Location, restaurant, pool, breakfast, price.
Cons: Firmer beds and pillows and perhaps slippers for walking in the room.
Location: 2 minute walk to the Swiss Cottage Station. 15 minutes to the tourist sites.
We stayed for a week in August 2014. The staff was very pleasant and accommodating. The breakfast was delicious, the pool was very clean, and the restaurant served very tasty dinners (Indian and traditional fare). The location was good for trips to the city center. They were very accommodating with our kids. The only thing I would say negative was the comfort of the beds. The beds and pillows were way too soft and it felt like sleeping in a hammock.

#1 HOTEL IN CUSTOMER SERVICE

Posted Aug 4, 2014
I normally don't write reviews but this hotel warrants one. From the time we arrive for a weeks stay until we left, we were overwhelmed by the customer service this hotel has to offer. I can not say one negative thing about the hotel. Great restaurant, great bar, great room. Its not a modern, 5 star hotel, but you wouldn't know it from the staff. If I owned a hotel, I would do my staff recruiting from here. They know how to make their customers feel welcomed.
