Terrific hotel, near the LIRR station

Pros: Great location, beautiful architecture, friendly and service oriented staff, wonderful rooms!~
Cons: Keep doing what your doing!!!
Location: The hotel is one block from the railway station. The village is a short two-block walk, and has fun boutique shops, and excellent eating places.
I absolutely loved the hotel. It is a classic vintage hotel that is newly renovated and in excellent condition. I would recommend it to anyone, singles, couples, and families alike. I took the Long Island Railroad from Penn station, and walked on block to the hotel entrance which, by the way, is beautifully designed. The staff was wonderful and the rooms large and perfect.

The hotel is lovely and the rooms are pretty with very nice bathrooms. The two things I did not like are having to pay a hefty fee for wi-fi and no free coffee in the lobby

Upscale Value!

We stayed at this hotel for just one night, wanting a break from NYC. Was greatly surprised at the luxe room, contemporary yet comfy and peaceful. The hotel has done a really nice job upgrading their rooms in their renovation. We definitely will come back for the quality of our stay, the on-site amenities (including an outdoor patio bar which we were not able to take advantage of) and its proximity to NYC.

Pros: expedia
Cons: the 2nd room charge can be taken off my credit card
Location: the area is excellent, lots to do nearby, walk to restaurants.
I book with expedia gave the check in clerk my information at check in and they billed my credit card for a one night stay. So now I paid for the room twice. very disappointed with that. also the pool and gym were under construction. I brought my granddaughter there for an overnight stay and we were going to go swimming:(

Very Nice, within walking distance to an assortment of very nice restaurants and across the street from the Long Island Rail Road station to Penn Station in Manhattan.

Overrated Hotel

Pros: Food at Polo is excellent as is service.

Hotel recently renovated. Apparently forgot to adequately light rooms, bathroom has no counter space for toiletries, air conditioner loud and inefficient, toilet flushes itself repeatedly, no wash cloths, no fan in bathroom, TV did not include stations to watch local baseball teams, pool closed for renovation, no complementary coffee in morning but you can pay $4.00 per cup, and new outdoor cafe right off busy street is just silly - they're on Long Island, not Puerto Rico.

This hotel is likely very pricey normally, but it was under construction during my stay (not disturbing at all!), so the price was half of Marriott. It was excellent! Clean, comfortable and very fancy. I hope I can get the same deal in the future. Highly recommended.

The hotel was fine. I wasn't dissatisfied, but I also wasn't impressed. As my husband said, "They are trying really hard to be a nice hotel. It's just not quite there." They keep the hairdryer in the closet and I couldn't find it because it was behind the blanket. I called down to the front desk to ask where I could find it. They said to look in the bathroom. I did and said it wasn't there. They sent someone up. Someone arrived about 15-20 minutes later. He gave me a huge attitude and said it was in the closet. I really wasn't impressed. The shower caddy is wire and fell off the wall when I put soap on it. On a positive note, the bed was pretty comfortable. And the front desk staff was very friendly when we checked in.
