first room the remote didnt work and the light around the mirror in the restroom did not work the restroom was very dim. asked to extend my stay and was told i could on the phone once i was at the front desk they said i couldnt extend it because my room had been booked and recommended i book a new room for $120. i booked my own room through a third party for $69. the second room had the same restroom issue very dim the mirror lights didnt work. when i went to set my luggage down i noticed there was a lot of trash on the side of the bed between the dresser. im assuming housekeeping was in a hurry the mini fridge was plugged into an outlet but would not go all the way in exposing the prongs. restrooms do not have fans for the steam of hot water and if you leave the door open the smoke alarm goes off constantly. the concerning part was the smoke alarm going off over and over and never recieved a call from the front desk to see if things were okay. although the hotel served its purpose to an extent i will not be booking at this location again.

I liked the location, but the rooms and property were not kept up but just surfaced cleaned. Staff gave away my 2nd room so instead of being next to each other we were 6 rooms down. Pool was out of order and thats the reason I picked that hotel. The coffee was good but breakfast was very lacking and not good.

I booked this room for one amount online and ended up paying DOUBLE after all of the bs fees and charges . The last 5 times I visited Lubbock I stayed at this hotel, I’ve never been charged for these things, talk about “nickel & dime “. Also they don’t accept any military ID now that I look at the check out sheet , they charged me a high rate for military. I’m in Lubbock at least 3 times a month, I’ll never stay here again and I’m putting the word out that they up charge.

Staff was not welcoming. I didn’t feel like I was a priority. When I checked out I waited at the counter for a couple of minutes said hello & the lady walked out wasn’t very kind. Didn’t communicate with me. The building seemed to be worn down with no up keeping.

Booked a room for the weekend because it was advertising and indoor pool and hot tub because my daughter loves to swim. The pool was under construction when we arrived. Talked to the front desk and said that since we booked through expedia then they were respomsible for the misinformation. Tried to call expedia about a refind and to change hotels but could not speak to anyone directly. Do not book at la quinta and do not use expedia to book.

The room descriptions are inaccurate. After booking a non refundable room that says will "sleep 5 people" and getting there to only see two double beds, was a disappointment. Not only were the rooms dirty, stains on the couches and comforters and walls and just dirty everywhere. I then tried to call the downstairs main desk, so I picked up the phone in the room, and it was completely unhooked. And no cord to even plug it in. The tv also did not work. We went down to talk to them, and had to pay to upgrade, which again, disappointment. After getting to the next room, it was a little better, but still just gross. Everything was dirty. The tub would fill up with water when just taking a shower, stains and fingerprints just everywhere in the room. The walls are filthy. Couch stains my son didn't even want to sit on the couch. There looked to be blood stains or something on the sheets of the bed as well. Never again will we stay at any La Quinta.

Didn't have pillows. Front desk tried giving me a folded fitted sheet to use as a pillow. Day 2 of our stay, the water was shut off for 5 hrs.

The level of online booking was good. The front desk did advise of a pending booking charge and the amout for that was refundable. I would like to add in regard to negative reviews. Not once did I see any roaches and going forward I wouldn't mind visiting again.

I did like the staff friendly and helpful and breakfast was great. However, the phone didn't work in our room, it would have been nice to have a list of local restaurants and places that would deliver. We also didn't have a television station listings. Overall, we did enjoy our stay.
