Cozy Log Cabin at Hartland Lake

Want to get away to a fabulous log cabin on property with its own private lake? This cozy retreat sits on 163 acres with a spectacular view of Mt. Adams. Built in 2006, the home overlooks Hartland Lake, which is fully stocked with trout, bass, and bluegill for your fishing pleasure.

The cabin comes fully furnished with two bedrooms downstairs (one with a California king bed and one with a queen bed) and a bunkroom upstairs (with two queen and two single beds, plus a small, carpeted loft for kids to play or two sleeping bags.) accommodating 8-10 guests. Two full baths, a complete kitchen, loft overlooking the living space, and gathering area with warm fireplace, provide all the comforts of home.

Besides fishing, enjoy swimming, boating, canoeing, kayaking, paddleboarding, or hiking on the property to see breathtaking views of Mt. Hood and the surrounding countryside. You will likely see many kinds of wildlife, including deer, turkeys, porcupines, and turtles. And in the night sky, experience the fantastic display of constellations and our Milky Way galaxy.

When you’re ready to venture out, there are numerous wineries in the Columbia Valley Wine Region, consisting of two distinct AVA’s with nearly 40 tasting rooms. Plus, several fine restaurants in both Hood River and The Dalles will serve any requirements for dining out.

Just 90 minutes from Portland, the ranch is completely private, yet the little town of Lyle is merely 15 minutes away. Hood River and The Dalles, Oregon as well as White Salmon and Goldendale, Washington are each only 30 minutes from the property.

Lovely Setting
The cabin is a very nice modern wood home, very comfortable with nice furnishings. We nearly had the small lake to ourselves and enjoyed canoeing and fishing. The setting is so very peaceful with a wonderful view of Mt Adams in the background. We unfortunately had a few days of extremely hot weather through the July 4th week, but all in all it was a wonderful stay with our children and grandchildren.

Relaxing!!!!
This property was amazing. Very quiet. Beautiful view of Mt. Adams. We all fished the lake. The canoe and the dock it was on are well maintained and easy to use. The cabin, itself, was very comfortable. Would not hesitate to come back again in the future.

Peace Love and Happiness
Todd's a great host and the cabin was absolutely poyfect for the five of us. All but one of our group live in the country so we're pretty picky when it comes to camping or cabins. I'll be building a cabin with pretty much the same floor plan so Chrissy and I felt right at home. The view of the lake and mountain is beautiful. We'll be back to do a little fishing and hiking with the grandkids come fall. Mark and Chrissy

Wonderful stay!
We had a group of 10, including 4 adults, 3 teens and 3 kids. We had a really great time at the cabin. The kids had a blast sledding on the sledding hill right outside the door, and the adults enjoyed the beautiful views of the mountains and pond as well as the walking trails around the property. The kitchen was well equipped and the beds were comfortable. We appreciated the long dining table which could accommodate our large group. The host even set off an amazing fireworks display for New Years Eve! Would definitely return for another visit.

Superb
This is a special property and if you are in search of seclusion, peace, and an overall outdoor experience- this is the place. Not for partiers or people that want to “tear it up”. This type of quality accommodation should not be taken lightly . It is for families or fishermen/ fisherwomen!! Beautiful home, good amenities , great decor - all around top notch in all categories. We had 5 fishermen in total and we all agreed we will be coming back ASAP. Great fly fishing for trout on the lake (float tubes a must). I just want people to be respectful of the owners offering such a special property to the public. It is to be cherished.

Top Property!!!
Our family loves staying at different cabins and exploring new places so we've been to a lot over the years. This one was definitely in our Top Two for all time! It was the #1 cleanest cabin we have ever seen, it was immaculate, and had the coolest wildlife! We had deer, wild turkeys, squirrels, bats, birds, an owl, all sorts of wildlife right there to look at and listen to! The lake was amazing and we really appreciated the life jackets and boats being available, plus the grill for dinners too! The owner was perfect in introducing himself but then giving us the space to relax and explore on our own. The kids had a blast in the loft space and with the movies and games that aere provided. Just a top notch property with excellent owners, highly recommend!

Last chance summer dance
Our family of 10 has a hard time finding something Away from crowds with recreational activities close by that will hold us all. This place had everything we needed. Plenty of space, well maintained (and clearly loved), so much privacy, views, relaxation....the list goes on. So happy we were able to stay at this cabin for our last vacation of the summer. What an incredible end of summer celebration.

Fantastic stay
We were a group of Moms and recent high school graduate daughters that stayed for a long weekend. The property is absolutely BEAUTIFUL-pictures don’t do it justice. The property owner was very welcoming-and even hauled all of our kayaks up from the lake prior to our trip home! We couldn’t have asked for a better stay!! We all look forward to returning.
