Hotel Derlon MaastrichtPosted Jun 1, 2014
Pros: The hotel is small and has a casual atmosphere. It is in the city centre and is close to the main square.
Cons: The nearest car-parking is in an underground car-park and luggage drop-off/pick-up is in the middle of the busy outdoor restaurant area.
Location: Shopping, restaurants and the central square all very varied and interesting.
Our party of three stopped for one night. The hotel is in the old part of the city and is surrounded by traditional narrow streets with some very nice shops close by together with a number of restaurants. The hotel is relatively small and has a boutique feel to it. The basement restaurant, in which breakfast, lunch and evening meals are served, has an intimate atmosphere and includes, as a bonus, an archaeological display.

Nice place in the centre of town.Posted May 2, 2014
Pros: The Roman ruins in the basement. Next door to the church and shrine.
Cons: The hallways could be updated - really tried hard to think of something that could be improved.
Nicely surprised! Located on a quiet square in town, not far from the river - garage parking nearby. Really exciting that the hotel has their own museum of Roman ruins in the basement - also the breakfast room! That in itself is a great reason to stay in the hotel

Hard to get to, But great Once you arrivePosted Jun 29, 2013 on Hotels.com
The one way streets, pedestrian zones, and bicyclists typical of the old town make this a somewhat challenging destination if arriving be car. The hotel and its environs, however are wonderful. The staff were friendly and informative. The roman ruins downstairs reflect the classic history of Maastricht and remind one that this is truly " the old town". Situated on an atmospheric tree filled square with numerous dining options right outside the hotel, but also close to other, larger dining/ shopping possibilities is ideal. I wouldn't consider another hotel in this city- if you can find it!

Beds are very comforatble, Great Location ,Posted Jun 19, 2013 on Hotels.com
Overall stay was very pleasant, but could be noisy at nights due to the many outdoor terrasses and cleaning in the very early of the morning. Ask for a room at the back, but the view will not be the same.

Fabulous hotelPosted Jun 9, 2013
Pros: Location, square outside for eating or taking morning coffee, and the staff.
Fabulous hotel right in the Onze Lieve Frouwplein. Perfect for sitting outside with a drink and relaxing. The staff were super helpful and friendly. Some people have complained about the noise of being on the square, but honestly it wasn't bad. You are in a city. Location is ideal and easy to walk to shops. Will stay here again.

We were very happy. Well designed hotel with unique features on lovely square with many options for dining and relaxing. Easy access to major roads, parking, yet still in area with local feeling.
