The Derlon Hotel was not only beautiful but in the heart of Maastricht. Staff is amazing, location is in the center of shopping, dining and a beautiful square to sit and have food/drinks. Would highly recommend!

Comfortable rooms
Spacious rooms with comfortable king-size bed. Very welcoming to bikers. Nice open air terrace in front of hotel. Walking distance to everything!

Glad we stayed here on first Maastricht visit
Location is perfect, and because new lockdown restrictions were imposed just before our stay, we were spared the usual street noise from tourists and diners on the square outside our window. But that also, meant that we could not enjoy the restaurant or lounges in the facility. (Pilots and crew with Fedex had their own lounge area though). Breakfast was picked up in a paper bag and room service had a limited menu. The staff made us feel welcome by offering an extra kettle and tea, however, in such a situation where occupancy is likely low, one wonders why not go the extra mile and offer an upgrade so we will rave and likely come back? The bed was fine but the bathroom could use an update -- dirty tile grout and chipped tub). Water pressure not great.

We really had a fabulous stay at Derlon. Staff could not have been more helpful or pleasant. Food, wine and service excellent. Beds very comfy and room well stocked with necessities. Hotel location excellent.

Great location and great staff. The room was spacious and fitted with an air conditioner, which gave an odd sound on a regular basis. The staff was informed and planned to take care of it. The room was very modern and comfortable.

The facilities were excellent and reception ztaff most helpful.However there were not enough staff on at breakfast nor at dinner which meant that service was slow and somewhat chaotic But overall a very enjoyable stay

The property was excellent as were thefacilities.The staff were helpful and polite. However there were not enough staff on at breakfast and they were constantly running out of food and they were to busy totake orders

Room was clean, spacious, plenty of outlets, and properly cooled (thermostat in this room actually does something). Only negative is theres no view but if youre like me and usually have the shades down to hide from big brother, that should be no problem.

A very nice stay in Maastricht
The Derlon is in a great location.- big parking garage down the street, wonderful cafes across the street and a bit removed from the busy center but all within walking distance. The hotel itself has a modern and clean interior. As you enter the hotel you walk through the bar and dining area to the reception desk. The breakfast area is downstairs where you will be surrounded by history! You will able to see the foundations of the church next door which were discovered during construction. The room was nicely decorated - blues, greens - quiet, very clean, good internet, comfortable bed, welcoming staff. All-in-all a very relaxing and enjoyable stay!

Hotel Derlon in Maastricht is a nice hotel placed in the absolute centre of the town. The room was very clean, the bed very comfortable and furthermore it was well equipped with Nespresso coffee machines, pods and toiletries en masse. The breakfast was served in the Roman Museum Cellar, making the experience very unique. Why not a full smile then.... The room was rather outdated and could do with a refurbishment, the bathroom even more so, as the shower was placed in the bathtub. Overall nice, but not fantastic.

Great staff but very noisy surroundings
The staff at the hotel were very friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was also delicious. However I paid for a luxury room and although it was clean and had a few extras like a coffee machine and some toiletries I thought it was small for the huge amount of money. The bathroom was clean and pleasant but had a shower in the bath with a curtain. For that amount of money I would have expected a separate shower and spacious bathroom. The hotel is situated on a square which is festive but a local bar cracked out thumping music until 4 am which was impossible to drown out even with earplugs. Did not enjoy my stay and wouldn’t book it again.

Came for the Cyclocross World Championships in nearby Valkenburg. Cool hotel. Comfortable, reasonable price, amazing location. Incredible Roman Ruins Unser the hotel and that’s where the breakfast is held everyday. Very cool

Fabulous building with breakfast area amongst the roman remains under the Hotel. fantastic location right in the middle of the beautiful city and a newly refurbished room with views over the charming square. Hard to beat. Only downside was the expensive valet parking, but worth it after a long drive.

Warm service in heart of Maastricht.
My hotel room was very spacious and I felt at home. The desk was big and laptop can be used easily. The location was ideal for sightseeing. The most fascinating thing was that the dinning area in the basement was surrounded by old ruin at the age of Roman Empire. This was incredible and I never have seen that the basement of hotel was museum! All staff were very kind and professional. I recommend you to stay this hotel if you have a chance to stay in Maastricht.

Lovely hotel in a great location. Staff very helpful but spoilt by demands to pay taxes and fees when already paid to Expedia. Whatcha out for double rooms as they are two single mattresses pushed together.

Excellent stay. Breakfast superb served in basement amongst ruins of Roman temple! Only improvements we can suggest is to replace the unworkable coffee maker with a simple kettle and provide tea bags and provide better bedside lighting

Charming Maastricht hotel in the prime position
Walking towards the hotel through the square bubbling with cafes, bars and life on a sunny day was a perfect start. Next were the positive friendly staff in the restaurant and at reception and a clean well set out room. Make sure you visit the museum downstairs to see the archaeological history. Breakfast was fine. Sure the lift could have been a little faster and the bed not in 2 parts as I often find in Europe but a real find. I would happily stay there again

Our favorite in Maastricht
We have stayed here several times when we go to Maastricht. This time, as in the past, was a very positive experience. Our room was ready upon arrival and bigger than we had expected, since it was on the corner. This brought good and some negative, since there was more noise. Now, at the beginning of the university year, there were many noisy students on the square late into the night. But, that is the price one pays if you want a room with a view of the square! We loved it overall.

Wonderful two days!
We have stayed at Derlon several times and we keep coming back. But this time was the best. The room was larger than usual, and the weather turned out to be a pleasant surprise, too! Onze Lieve Froweplein is the place to be in Maastricht! We will be back!
