If you arrive early, they will charge extra. Expedia should have coordinated this. Other than this inconvenience, it was a good stay- close all the attractions.

The location is great. You are close to everything, a fee steps from El Retiro park, lots of bars and restaurants around. We stayed in Senior Suite apartment and it would need a bit of upgrade. The walls have some stains, mirror broken, some things half of broken. It was supposed to have 2 bedrooms but the second one was divided from living room by one piece of furniture only, no wall. The apartment was surprisingly dark. The light in living room had to be on all the time, the only day light was in bedrooms. We got a nice cor at request. The staff was nice, they were doing their best. The value for money was good.

Great location and very nice staff. We stayed here at the tail end of our Spain trip (and backend of our Madrid stay). The place is very near to great restaurants, walkable site seeing, etc. The place itself was nice, but did not feel very clean. For example, walls were scuffed up, floor in some spots had a slight stickiness to it, bed spread had a stain on it, etc. Again, great location, but not worth the value given cleanliness issues.

Great location & price
The location was fantastic and the size of the apartment was much larger than we expected. It provided the right amount of space for our family to stay comfortably. The hotel's price was also fantastic for Madrid. However, I will say, it was not the cleanest hotel. There was a lot of dust in the hotel room and was not thoroughly cleaned prior to our arrival. Floors needed to have been moped and vacuumed. The linens and towels were clean though. For the price and location, including the apartment-style amenities, it couldn't be beat.

It would be a good deal if you are looking for a larger room for a longer stay with a family, but the property was outdated, beds uncomfortable, shower had hairs that did not belong to us, badly insulated (very loud when people were leaving since there is no carpet you could hear luggage rolling in the hallways, pots and pans clanging, people being loud around room), and the staff wasn’t the most pleasant. The AC worked great and the extra space was nice but not worth it to us. Not sure how this place is rated a four star hotel.

the room was nice and spaciou but the bathroom especially the bathtub is a safety hazard. the glass decider is a door and you could fall out of the tub, the sin counter top sharp edge is really close to the bathtub. the bed was a little hard the matress was all warped. besides that the kitchen qas nice and and the living room is comfy

Not hot water, no compensation, no relocation
After the first night the hotel water heater leaked and was busted. Only option given was to use the gym shower. After a struggle to request a new room and compensation the only thing offered was a free breakfast on the day. I would expect hotels.com would refund part of the stay. They would not assist with the issue or make any demands. Hotel strung us along that it would be fixed so no hot water for 75% of the stay. Hotel.com support was seriously lacking online as we were cycled through reps repeatedly with no rep seeming to want to run with the reported issue. A horrible situation to be in when in another country.

Our stay at Boutike Cibeles was lovely. Very spacious suite in a perfect location, right near Cibeles Square and Retiro park. 15-20 minute walk to Gran Via, Sol, everything!!! The staff was helpful and responsive. Very comfortable bed(s). The breakfast at the hotel was very good, and an excellent value! Not like a lot of hotels with pre-wrapped stale food - It's mostly fresh food and juice, and they made us omelettes to order in the morning. We loved having the full suite with laundry in the kitchen. Be aware it's only a washer, so you will need at least a full day to hang things to dry. Air in Madrid is super dry so this wasn't an issue for us. When we go back to Madrid this is where we'll want to stay! Muchas Gracias Boutike Cibeles :-)

The location of the apartment was great. within a couple blocks of the Prado and the big city park and easy walking distance to all the other main Madrid attractions. We walked everywhere. Additionally, it is about 1.2 miles from the main Atocha train station and 1/4 mile from a train stop that takes you to the airport. The apartment we stayed in was huge. It was very clean and comfortable. Everything came as promised. We would recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

Great location, walking distance to museums and parks, lots of restaurants nearby. Staff was friendly. There is a rooftop area with great views which also offers a reasonable breakfast, Room was large, but had ‘garden view’ which overlooked a storage area for bar next door. Bed was the most uncomfortable bed I may have ever slept on, my husband was able to sleep on it though.
