"We had a good stay at the Aquastar hotel. However, the water coming out of the tap of the Jacuzzi (the main reason for chosing the hotel) obviously comes out of the sea more or less uncleaned and therefore was brownish and smelled like seaweed making it uncomfortable to use. "The space was ample. The best part about it is the screened in kitchen and dining area. The beach is not far and there are grocery stores and vegetable shops a minute away. We had a bumpy start which was resolved only after 21/2 hours on the phone with VRBO. The owner charged us for an extra night. ..."

Jan 24, 2020Mahahual is a great little town. There is an excellent hotel across the street from Hotel Beke that was a great upgrade. It is too bad one hotel can make a good vacation marginal.

Jan 19, 2020Cute little MX Caribbean fishing town that is growing with a cruise ship dock. Its not as big as Playa, Bacalar, or Tolum, but its a fun place to spend some time.
