Cala Ratjada Serrano Palace hotel stay.
Excellent hotel situated across the road from the lovely Son Mol Beach. Quiet though central location. Impressive hotel room and high end bathroom. We booked half board and the standard of food is very high indeed. Only criticisms in relation to our stay would be that the pool which is such a feature of the Hotel, was not heated (early Nov) though we prefer sea swimming (which was warmer), bottled water was not provided free of charge in the room and we were expected to pay for Nespresso capsules used in our hotel room coffee machine. Tea and coffee in a 5 star hotel room is to be expected as standard. We were able to park outside the hotel, free of charge, though at busier times you may need to valet park. The Cala Ratjada Boardwalk is just across the road too. Will book to stay again. We greatly enjoyed our stay.

Fantstic Hotel, great holiday.
Our stay at this hotel was excellent, especially the staff they were very friendly and attentive. The hotel is situated 50 mtrs from Son Moll beach which is really beautiful with cafes and restaurants all around. Our accommodation was fantastic, we had half board and the meals were amazing. Will defiantly return

Only for those loving package holidays
I would only recommend this location to those looking for a short package holiday in a resort area. There is nothing Spanish-feeling about this part of Mallorca. It is a holiday resort. Many of the nearby shops and restaurants are geared for tourists and some parts of the town feel totally artificial. The clientele is largely German. The beach is just across the road. It is very clean but as it's small it gets very crowded. There are chairs with umbrellas (that get snapped up very quickly) but aside from that or sitting in one of a few beachside cafes, there are no natural shady areas. A couple of restaurants along the waterfront serve quite good and more authentically Spanish food. Aside from that, most restaurants serve the usual touristy fare. The one annoying thing was the hotel next door that liked to announce its upcoming morning and evening events so loudly (blasting this out in German) daily. One night, while on the balcony we were caught between two rival Frank Sinatra renditions - one in our hotel and one in the hotel next door. We booked half board but only ate dinner there twice. While there was a wide variety of food, much of it was drowned in heavy sauces and the better fare was gone by the time it reached 8:30pm as many diners started eating as early as 6:30. Thankfully, whatever noise one could hear in the evening stopped promptly by midnight. Only recommend if you are looking for a tourist resort in a lovely location but without a sense of local flavor.

Lovely hotel, great area
This was an amazing experience -- we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We found that the food was beyond 5 star...and the feel of the entire hotel was just wonderful The only negative thing that we found during our stay there, was that the internet was a bit flakey -- had to keep putting in the password during the sessions, and since we paid extra for this service for the week, we were a bit disappointed in its performance. Otherwise the place is really wonderful. We especially liked the area, walking along the seawall was outstanding and the many places to eat and drink within minutes of the hotel were outstanding. Would never get tired of looking at the sea.

Tolles Hotel mit sehr gutem Service
Wir waren leider nur eine Nacht im Hotel Serrano Palace, werden aber definitiv gerne wieder einmal kommen: vom Hotelzimmer bis zum Restaurant: Ausstattung und Service lassen keine Wünsche offen. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Den stranden som tillhörde hotellet var inget likt bilderna. Liten och inträngd. Kvällsmusik som inte var passande för tyska pensionärer som övervägde. Trevlig och rolig personal i receptionen. Proffsig pianist som spelade på flygel vid frukost. Annars var restaurangen som en matsal. Fräscht men kvar i tidigt 90-tal i inredning. Vi tog bilen till stränder på annat håll.

Bel hôtel et grande chambre par contre le service est loin de celui d’un 5 étoiles et le personnel à part quelques exceptions n’est pas très agréable. L’accueil a été déplorable pas un sourire des suppléments pour tout même pour le nespresso dans la chambre. Goûter payant à la piscine alors qu’il s’agit des restes du dîner de la veille. Bref à part les infrastructures et l’endroit sympa rien qui justifie le prix car tout est en extra. Il y a plein d’hôtels à Majorque beaucoup mieux et moins chers.

Edles Hotel am Strand
Das Hotel liegt in unmittelbarer Strandnähe. Er ist feinsandig und über eine Straße erreichbar. Zum Ortskern und Hafen führt eine schöne Strandpromenade (10 Minuten Fußweg) oder eine Einkaufsstraße. Der Empfang war sehr freundlich. Alle Mitarbeiter waren außerordentlich freundlich und kompetent. Wünsche wurden umgehend erfüllt. Die Zimmer sind ungewöhnlich groß und sehr gut ausgestattet. Die Inneneinrichtung ist nicht neu, aber in sehr gutem Zustand. Die Mahlzeiten haben eine große Auswahl, sind abwechslungsreich und werden sehr schön präsentiert. Manchmal werden die Mahlzeiten mit gepflegter Lifemusik begleitet. Trotz (nur) HP gab es für uns tagsüber an der Poolbar kostenlos leckere Snacks. Abendessen mit Dresscode (Herren: Hemd/Poloshirt, lange Hosenbeine, Damen: schulterbedeckt, mindestens knielange Röcke oder Hosen). Fast jeden Abend gab es Lifemusik und andere Vorstellungen am Pool oder in der großen Bar. Vielfältiges Sport- Spa- und Ausflugsangebot. Wer einen gediegenen Urlaubsaufenthalt (Einzelreisende, Paare, Familien) sucht, ist hier richtig.

In die Jahre gekommen...
Wir hatten bewusst ein 5* Hotel für unseren Aufenthalt ausgewählt, da wir für ein paar Tage abschalten wollten und uns den Luxus gönnen wollten. Gut: Lage, öffentliche Parkplätze direkt vor dem Hotel (geringe Anzahl), gute Küche, persönlicher Empfang vom Hoteldirektor - immer präsent !!! Negativ: Hotel in die Jahre gekommen, Poolliegen von Dauernutzern blockiert, techniche Geräte defekt (1 von 3 Aufzügen lief), Personal im Restaurant unfreundlich, WLan kostenpflichtig, Nur Wannenbad/dusche - nicht bequem, Besser nehmen die das neue Schwesterhotel nebenan oder das Vanity Suite Hotel in der Nachbarbucht! (mir bekannte Hotels, waren bei uns leider ausgebucht) Preis / Leistung = Schlecht Für diesen Preis findet man definitiv bessere Hotels

Hotel war sauber, Angestellte alle sehr freundlich und bemüht. Überwiegend Deutsche anzutreffen, alles sehr ruhig. Ein Strand ist nur 3 Minuten entfernt, jedoch völlig überlaufen. Tipp: Mietauto ausleihen und die Strände in der Nähe besuchen.

Schönes Hotel fast direkt am Strand
Ein sehr gepflegtes Haus mit toller Lage gegenüber vom Son Moll Strand, mit tollem Pool, grosszuegigen Fruehstuecksbuffet, einem engagiertem Hoteldirektor und guter Zimmerausstattung. Vom Pool läuft man direkt zum 50 meter entfernten strand. Die Läden und Bars von Cala Ratjada sind 2-5 Minuten Fussmarsch entfernt.

Zimmerausstattung hochwertig, aber ein wenig kitschig. Zimmer wurde 2mal pro Tag gecheckt, sehr sauber. Auch Pool und Spa Bereich sehr gepflegt. Getränkepreise sehr günstig für ein 5* Hotel. Essen lecker, Personal freundlich; Lage des Hotels sehr günstig, da man direkt am Strand ist, trotzdem aber auch schnell in der Stadt. Würde gerne wieder hinfahren! Einzige Minus: Fitnessraum ist mit uralt Geräten ausgestattet und der Animateur (Sänger) ging uns auf den Keks.

Wir sind sehr spät angekommen. Der Diensthabender empfangt uns jedoch sehr freundlich. Obwohl wir mit Meeresblick gebucht hatten bekamen wir ein Zimmer zunächst nach hinten mit Blick auf eine Strasse. Na ja morgen werden wir es lösen versprach er uns und brachte uns etwas zu essen ins Zimmer. Am Tag danach wurde für den nächsten Tag uns dann unser bestelltes Zimmer garantiert. Dafür bekammen wir eine Entschädigung von 36 Euro/Tag, was wir an Getränken oder sonstiges ausgeben konnten. Empfehlenswert ist meiner Meinung nach vorher anzurufen und erinnern, dass mann Zimmer mit Meeresblick gebucht hat. Leider wird neben des Hotels ein anderes Hotel gebaucht, was viel Krach bedeutet. Ich denke bald werden sie fertig sein. Dennoch häßliches Ding daneben!!!! Ansonsten Frühstuck und alles so rum herum ziemlich in Ordnung

Ich war erst skeptisch, ob sich dieses Hotel von den guten 4 sterne hotels in cala ratjada überhaupt so abheben kann, dass es die Mehrkosten lohnt. Aber ich habe mich überzeugen lassen. Toller Service, schönes Zimmer mit eher einer Terrasse als einem schnöden Balkon, sehr gutes Essen und angenehmes Publikum.

Wenn man sich rundum umsorgt fühlen möchte, dann ist man im Serrano Palace genau richtig. Vom Hoteldirektor über die Rezeption bishin zu den Zimmermädchen und alle anderen, die ich jetzt vergessen habe ist das Team immer stets zuvorkommend, freundlich und steht mit Rat und Tat zur Seite. Hotelsprache "Deutsch" ;-) Jeder Angestellte, dem ich begegnet bin konnte flüssig deutsch sprechen. Klar fühlt man sich dann gleich viel wohler, wenn man auch im Ausland die eigene Sprache sprechen kann. Vorallem ein Vorteil für ältere Menschen. Demnach habe ich auch keinen anderen Gast gehört, der nicht auch deutsch sprach. Das Essen war jetzt nicht ganz nach meinem Geschmack. Das Buffet wurde jeden Tag nach einem anderen Thema aufgebaut (Italienisch, Majorkinisch, etc.). Die Würze der Gerichte ging dabei jedoch an meinem Geschmack vorbei. Mein Freund hingegen war jedoch begeistert! Da ich kein Fleisch/ Fischesser bin war ich jedoch glücklich, dass es IMMER auch eine Vegetarische Warmspeise gab. Vor allem das Frontcooking war sehr beliebt und auch lohnenswert sich an die Schlange anzustellen.
