We had reservations at a restaurant 7-8 km away. Thought we could just “call a taxi.” Turned out we should have made a reservation. The manager called two taxi companies for us as we don’t speak French. No luck. So, he drove us himself! Didn’t want anything for it. Went over and above, in our opinion.

A pleasant place in the countryside of Alsace
The room was large and comfortable but simple in its furnishings. No lounge chair or sofa. Closet space, especially hanging space, is limited. It included a kitchenette with cooktop, microwave, refrigerator, and coffee maker. Daily cleaning of the room is not included, and guests are expected to leave the kitchen and its equipment clean when they leave. The proprietor and front desk staff were pleasant and accommodating. The proprietor speaks fluent English but the others were limited. I particularly enjoyed the buffet style breakfast: croissants, rolls, cheese, cold cuts, yogurt, eggs and an egg cooker, orange juice and a juicer for freshly made OJ, various hot drinks, and more.
