A week in Saint Lucia
We were a group of 9 who enjoyed an amazing week in Saint Lucia and Villa Isis. We spent the week exploring the island. We rented two vehicles (a must) and started our days by walking into Marigot Bay for a coffee and pastry at Coco’s café. We needed the sustenance for the walk back up to the villa! The house offered our group everything we were looking for and more. We ate on the patio and enjoyed the views of the harbour, cooled down in the pool, cooked for the group in the kitchen and had lots of choices for where to sleep at night. Three of the bedrooms are in the main house, two of the other rooms are in separate units from the main house. When driving on the island, be prepared for very windy roads with lots of switchbacks, and for driving on the ‘other side of the road’ (at least for us North Americans). When you arrive to the villa for the first time, make sure to add Villa Isis to Google maps. We visited the mud baths and sulfur springs, took a snorkeling tour and a rum tour, spent the day at Anse Cochon and Marigot Bay. While snorkeling we were lucky to see an octopus and some sting rays. We look forward to visiting Saint Lucia one day soon. We highly recommend Villa Isis. Big thanks to Kieran for his support and his coconut gifts on our last day.

Nice villa - Marigot Bay
Just came back from a nice stay at Villa Isis. Villa is beautiful, well stocked, lots of space for our group of 7 adults. We loved the view of Marigot Bay and that is was peaceful. To access villa, roads are steep so you definitely need a vehicle. There are many restaurants in Marigot Bay so you don't have to venture too far to have your meals if you are not cooking. There is a little ferry that brings you to the small beach of Marigot Bay. Nice beach and you can even get a coconut rum prepared right in front of you! I would recommend this place if you don't mind having to drive to visit other areas of the island.

Great house, lousy location
The house was wonderful and spacious. However the roads leading up to the house were a disaster. Additionally the parking lot at the bottom of the hill, near the restaurants was not paved and had huge potholes. It is beyond me how the community which heavily relies on tourism chooses not to maintain the parking most people must use. Also the area leading to the boat dock was shabby looking with another unmaintained road. We did find nice snorkeling and a nice private boat that we used on two occasions to access nice snorkeling spots. Overall though given the lousy roads on much of the island, I will never go back to St Lucia.

Very nice accommodations! The pics don’t show how grand this place is. Great beds and bedding, very clean, AC, they had filtered water for us, towels and everything you will need. Plenty of space inside and out, loved the views from the balconies! Thank you!!

A beautiful villa in paradise
Villa Isis is gorgeous with the best views on the island. Every room has a share of the view and the property has everything you need from kitchen equipment to pool towels, hair dryers , iron and a washer and dryer. We enjoyed our cocktails on the decks and cooked dinner in several nights. If you want to just escape and chill it’s perfect! There are some things that I wish we had known ahead however. The roads on the island are very narrow and since it was a British island driving is on the wrong side of the road for US drivers. Taxis are plentiful, but expensive. 10 miles doesn’t take ten minutes, it takes an hour and costs $100 . Also, don’t count on an ATM close by to get cash. The nearest one to the villa is in Castries which takes a $75 cab ride one way. The grocery store is also in Castries, so if you plan to cook at the villa make sure you get lots of provisions ahead or you will spend lots of time driving and paying taxi drivers! We did go down to the bay several times and had lovely drinks and dinner at Doolittle’s and Chateau Mygo. Prices ar good at both and they show them in EC and US dollars so you don’t have to do the conversion. Beware however of the Hurricane Hole restaurant. We wandered in for lunch one day and since the prices listed were very high ($30 for a 3 shrimp appetizer) we assumed it was EC dollars and ordered accordingly. When the bill came ($700 for 5 people, two of whom did not have alcohol) we were told the menu prices were in US dollars. Needless to say, we wouldn’t have ordered shrimp that were $10 each if we had known that ahead! We felt ripped off, which put a damper on our day. On the whole, we enjoyed our time on the island, the botanical gardens are well worth the trip and the snorkeling is fantastic! Villa Isis is wonderful and the communication with the property manager was very good. Just come prepared for the other factors I mentioned and you will have a great experience!

Beautiful villa overlooking Marigot Bay. On a hillside, as most of St. Lucia is, so rental car was a big plus. House is not far from the bay, where there are restaurants and water options. House was very clean, with lots of conveniences, quiet and private. highly recommend.

Family Vacation Villa Isis
Had a wonderful family Vacation at Villa Isis. The views were spectacular and the property very well maintained. Absolutely beautiful! The owner and property manager of the Villa were very helpful and prompt in replying to our inquiries. We were delayed in leaving due to weather conditions and the property owner was very accommodating in letting us check out a few hours later than expected. The Villa is high on the hill so a car is recommended or having a taxi bring you up as it is a steep climb up. We absolutely loved our stay and hope to return again! Thank you for a wonderful stay!!

Fantastic villa, great location for relaxing, excursions
This was our first visit to St Lucia and loved the island, the people and this villa as a "home" and basecamp. We had 8 adults, all around the age of 60. The villa was clean, very spacious and well equipped with beautiful views. Eddie the owner was living next door and very prompt with any needs such as additional water jugs or assistance with arranging transportation. Marigot Bay is a beautiful area and wonderful for a little more relaxed, out of way place (northern part of the island such as Rodney Bay is better if you want easier access to more activities). It is a bit of hike down the hill to Marigot Bay, but there are frequently taxis if you would prefer for the walk up. Marigot Bay has several nice restaurants and easy access to the beach across the short shuttle ride. As others have said, there is the pubic beach and more private beach at Doolittles next door. We liked meeting the locals who were polite when you deferred their help for drinks etc. If you are looking for tours, we would strongly recommend Morgan Inglisi who operates WOW Tours-a small local operation that is very flexible and reasonably priced. We did a northern island tour the first day and southern portion of the island the island the second day which gave us a great sense of where we wanted to explore later. Morgan was knowledgable, patient and very informative. We were also very happy we did not rent a car. We usually do but we found it was both cheaper overall and many excursions will pick you up, In addition the roads are narrow, windy and full of potholes. There a lot of drivers available. St Lucia is gorgeous and the people are wonderful. This is a great villa for your visit.

Great property
House was beautiful but you definitely need a car. The hill it sits on is steep and slippery when wet which is 90 percent of the time. Marigot Bay was great but a lot of places and shops closed down due to not making it thru Covid! Chateau Mygo restaurant was our favorite by far. Staff was wonderful! We saw lots of the island by taxi and Rent-A-Car. But it took a long time to get anywhere do to curvy and steep roads.. All in all it was a great trip. Thank you Eddie for all that you did for us!

The perfect Villa
The Villa was perfect for the island, it's location provided awesome views of Marigot Bay, and Eddie was an excellent caretaker, and he helped line up lots of our outings. When we return to the island in the future we look forward to staying at Villa Isis again and seeing Eddie.

Gorgeous view!
Villa Isis was absolutely lovely, just as pictured. The house itself is comfortable, spacious and well-appointed. AC in the bedrooms worked very well and the pool was perfect for a cooldown at the end of the day. We lived out on the balcony in the mornings and evenings, where the view is just spectacular. Pierre was very helpful and a lightning fast communicator. His suggestions for a driver to get from the airport and a chef to prepare supper for us were terrific, and we loved the home cooked meal. As noted, the walk from Marigot Bay to the villa is a pretty strenuous uphill climb so be prepared for that but it's nothing that a dip in the pool can't fix! We loved it and hope to return.

If you’re looking for a truly magnificent island experience villa Isis is where you want to be.
Villa Isis is truly a magical place. The house itself is gorgeous, tastefully decorated, and very comfortable. The view is amazing! We spent many happy hours on the verandas playing cards, eating, and watching the many boats in the bay. And the grounds are magnificent! Eddie does such a fabulous job of making villa isis into a green tropical paradise. Flowers, bananas, pomegranate, coconuts, it’s so beautiful! And the location of the property was just perfect for us. We spent a lot of time at Dolittle’s across the bay. We also ate frequently at Mygo at the bottom of the hill. The hill itself is an easy walk down and an invigorating walk back up. It is not for the faint of heart. It’s like walking through the rain forest. Very cool! I highly recommend this property to anyone who is looking for a relaxing true island experience. And Eddie could not be any nicer! A fine man admired and respected by the people in the community. He took very good care of us.

We had a wonderful time. The Villa was better than advertised. The only issue was we had trouble with the air conditioner in the Master bedroom but once I contacted the Property manager the ac guy was out in less than an hour to repair. Everyone was super nice and friendly. Would definitely stay here again

Wonderful View Property
This property has a wonderful view of Marigot Bay. It is a steep walk to and from the village... easier 10 minutes down, had to resort to a taxi instead of a 20 minute hike up a couple of times. In general, this a great property for a group (there was 4 couples in our group). Pool is small, ice maker gave us some problems, but the view and quiet surroundings made up for any short comings.

Great villa designed to maximise fantastic view
A wonderful homely villa with the most beautiful views over the bay from virtually every room. We found the villa very clean and our bed extremely large and comfortable. There is good security and the kind and welcoming Eddie is right nearby. There has been very good attention to guests' requirements to have a good holiday at the villa. Marigot Bay is a great location.

Beautiful Villa!
We loved our stay at Villa Isis! Our group consisted of me, my husband, our one year old son, and our parents, we all fell in love with the villa and the amazing views. We loved spending our mornings out on the balcony drinking coffee. Our little guy loved running all over the balcony and it was nice that the railing was safe for him to do so. The welcome fruit basket was delightful and we enjoyed the delicious bananas and grapefruit throughout our stay. As other reviewers have noted, Eddie is a wonderful asset to this villa. He was available for everything we needed, including rides to the grocery store and to the waterfront. Eddie was also kind enough to arrange a taxi from the airport to the villa and we liked our driver, Daryl, so much we hired him to take us to Soufriere, Pigeon Island and back to the airport. Thank you Eddie for all of your assistance during our stay! The only reason I didn't rate this 5 stars is because the hills are very difficult to walk. Based on previous reviews, we anticipated a much more walk-able hill. However, some of the hills, especially the one right before the house are severely inclined and can get quite slippery when wet (our taxi skidded several times). If you are travelling with older people or children and aren't renting a car, the hills will be a challenge. Having said that, we enjoyed our overall stay at Villa Isis and wish we could've stayed longer.

We loved the property and the views. Eddie was very helpful.
This is a beautiful house and nicely furnished with all the comforts of home. The views of the bay are fantastic. We would walk to the restaurants on the water surrounding the bay every night. It takes about 12 minutes. The walk back is all up hill but after a nice meal it was fine. There are public beaches 20 min to the north and to the 20 min south. You can also rent kayaks etc at the bay by the day or week. We will definitely stay here again.

Dream Home
Living in luxury and comfort. This place is exactly like the photos. Our family lived on the back porch. We have already decided to return. We stayed in the home for 3 days but could have stayed longer. Pros: 1) this home has everything in the kitchen you might need. People that stay do some fine dining here, so lots of serving dishes and great appliances. 2) view...priceless. Better than a postcard. 3) eddie property manager. He lives very near by and can do just anything for you on the property. The owner of the property replied quickly to any messages on app...he does not live in St. Lucia but Eddie is his righthand man. 3) our sons loved the workout room 4) beds and AC in rooms made for a great night sleep. 5) did I say the view? Cons: 1) needs a new upgrade on the TV. We like to stream family movies and it's so old (it's a tube) we could not. 2) this is not a con but is something we will do differently next visit. Mosquitos love my husband...so we are going to ship in advance Thermo Cell Mosquitos repellent devices to the home in advance. There was not a major issue but my husband always seems to be dinner to even a few. I promise theses Thermo cells work off of butane so we have to ship them. You can get them in Amazon and they work. We use them on our back porch in Texas...no bites ever...they are amazing. Finally...just know this is a well cared for all the bells and whistles property. This will be our place every time we go to Saint Lucia now. Oh and the food down by the docks.. ..yummmmmm

Best view in St. Lucia!
As the gates to the property swing open, your escape to paradise will begin. First there's the view, with its turquoise water, tropical plants, and a villa that truly enriches the hillside. Eddie, the accommodating property manager, will be there to give the tour around your neverending home. Eddie's warm disposition and the care he puts into pre-purchasing local fruits and drinks, will make you feel like family. The grounds are alive with butterflies, lizards, and trees full of mangos, avocados, pomegranates, and more! The kitchen is well stocked, the small pool is clean, and the bedrooms are cool and comfortable. It is best to rent a vehicle or pay a taxi to get up and down the hillside, to the local market, restaurants and outings during the day or evening, unless you prefer a challenging incline and hike. The ride to Marigot bay takes only minutes, while the walk is a bit lengthier. There is a convenient cabstand at the bottom of the hill. Ask for Fred-one of the friendliest drivers we met. Though the Wi-Fi in the villa is excellent, it would be to your benefit to put devices down, head out onto one of the many balconies or porches, take a cool drink, and absorb the breeze and sunshine. It is nothing but pure bliss!

Wonderful Christmas Holiday with our Family December 2018
Our trip to St. Lucia was a Christmas present to our 3 children and son in law. (unfortunately, our son came down with the flu the day before we were to leave the US so he was unable to join us).We greatly enjoyed our stay at the Villa Isis. It is a beautiful property and provided our family of 5 Adults to have our own space while also giving us a gathering place to relax, talk, laugh, swim and sample one of the island's great exports, rum. The Villa was very clean and well cared for. Eddie greeted us when we arrived on our first night. We were very late because of a traffic jam outside of the airport. Eddie took us to JJ Mangrove cafe and had them keep the restaurant open for us so we could finally eat after travelling for over 18 hours. Thanks Eddie. The Villa is located in Marigot Bay and overlooks the bay. It is about a 10 minute walk down to the bay where you can take a water taxi to the beach and water sport center.We used the center to purchase a snorkeling excursion, diving trip, catamaran day trip, and kayaking. There are several restaurants and bars on the bay as well.However, if you want to explore the island, we recommend a car. They drive on the left hand side of the road, so if you are American, you will learn a new skill while on vacation. We went out every day and returned to the Villa which provided us a lovely place to relax and unwind after doing the tourist thing all day. There were a few days where we just hung out at the pool and enjoyed the beautiful grounds around the Villa.The sea breeze kept us very comfortable while enjoying the views from the verandas. But there is also air-conditioning in each bedroom.The kitchen is well appointed and they had set the dining table with Christmas linen. I love to cook so I appreciated that kitchen was so "cook friendly". We were there for 8 nights and wish we could have stayed longer as there were so many other things we did not get to do, like turtle watching, touring the chocolate plantation, and the rum distilleries. We hope to return to the Villa Isis soon so we can continue exploring this beautiful island.

Villa Isis, simply the best
I booked Villa Isis for my mother and her friend. They had the most wonderful 10 day stay. The villa is perfectly located with beautiful views of Marigot bay. Beautifully furnished and a real home from home. Eddy was a very attentive host who, at request, accompanied the vacationers on trips around the island. Nothing seemed too much and my mother was very happy when she returned to the UK. This is one she's recommending to all her friends. Definitely a 5 star stay. Thank you Eddy
