Very spacious and comfortable suite we booked to stay, only draw back is the privacy of the bath area. There is a large separate room has only toilet there, it is enough space for a shower there. As bath area is open plan with sleeping area, if a screen in front of the bath tube will be very helpful for privacy, when you are travelling with old children or friend to share the room.
It was a beautifully restored riyad with tasteful modern furniture. The room we stayed was huge! The staff was friendly and helpful. We definitely recommend this place.

My mom and I were so confused because we didn’t expect such a small entrance. Had no clue that it was a hotel until we stepped inside. The staff were very nice and friendly, but would’ve been better if the man at the reservation desk had actually known that he had guests to check in on that day.. The room was clean but cold, as the ceilings were very high. Overall was a satisfying stay but wouldn’t recommend..
I absolutely loved loved this Riad. The staff, Lamia and Mehdi especially so very helpful. My friend had 1000 questions and they Lamia always went the extra mile to help us as we were new to Marrakech. Breakfast was delicious and we’d always come back to a spanking clean room (sorry for the mess!) First night our WiFi was playing up, we reported the issue and the next morning the engineer was in to fix the problem. Thank you again to all staff, really made our stay pleasant
Riad Al Assala was beautiful and in a great location. The staff were very helpful and kind. They were patient in answering all of our many questions, and always accommodating. They provided a delicious breakfast and all the coffee and mint tea we could drink through the day.
It was a great location. We were a group of 4 but was surprised to find some basics not already provided upon arrival. Other riads provide a large water bottle upon arrival. We got one small water bottle to share between 4 people. Toilet paper was not refilled. They also charge way too much to provide a taxi to the airport. We paid half their charge asking for a taxi nearby.

Many thanks for your comment just if you want water is free and the taxi is not same than marrakech taxi is not the same price of course .
sincerely,
In general we had a lovely stay. Location is perfect very close to the main market. Very helpful staff especially Lamia. Rooms downstairs need a bit of updating
Charming riad very close to the Médina. The rooms are large and clean, but the bed was lacking decent pillows. The service was amazing, it was so refreshing to see a hotel run by women in Morocco! The rooms do not have locks on the doors, but we felt safe enough to leave our things in the room while we were out (there is a safe in the room). The breakfast was very minimal, but was made fresh.
I was expecting Riad al Assala to be good but it exceeded my expectations. The family suite was of a good size and was clean and comfortable. The rooms are set around a small courtyard and pool. A superb breakfast of freshly baked breads and cakes plus freshly squeezed orange juice set us up for the day. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the location was excellent.
A truly beautiful Riad, which feels like an oasis in the hectic Medina.
The location is ideal with many sights in walking distance.
Be aware that the Riad can be noisy, but this will be the case with most Riads. The rooms are spacious and beautiful with very high ceilings. The Riad also offers nice cozy areas to read a book and relax.
I can very much recommend this place to stay if you would like to experience staying in an authentic Riad
Hotel room which was the triple suite was very comfortable and clean, and looked as shown on the pictures online.
Lovely room and very tranquil environment, perfect to relax.
Breakfast was nice and light, tea was great.
Pool looked amazing in the evening.
Only disappointment was I emailed the assistant manager and was told there are massage facilities available, turned out that there was not..
Riad Al Assala was a gorgeous riad with a great location near Jamma El Fna. Service was excellent and the room we stayed in (a triple) was huge with massively tall ceilings, a tub, and fireplace. Contrary to other reviews mentioned, you could lock the doors from the inside and WiFi did reach our room (though not always the strongest signal). The courtyard and shared space is breathtaking and factoring in the price, it is excellent value and I would highly recommend it to anyone.
It is a cute riad with friendly staff..The breakfast by the pool was good & enjoyable. The room we had was okay since the air condition did not work and the water pressure of shower & bathroom was weak.(had one little soap for 4 people). We later stayed in other riads that were nicer & better priced..Period for cancellation without penalty was much shorter than other riads and hotels we also booked at.
Great location - close to the main square and markets but still very quiet. Cleanliness of the room needs improvement, and the room felt very damp. Bed sheets in particular were damp and made you feel clammy! WiFi was not very good (not that that is what you are in Marrakech for!). Staff were all lovely!
Very nice, comfortable hotel. I was a weary traveller. my back was sore from a long 2 weeks of cumby beds in cheap hotels from my tour. I found this hotel which was cheaper that what I had been paying and it had a softer bed, big tub, wonderful customer services all right near the craziness of the market. Very quiet. Highly recommend it, compared to most of my other stays this was by far the best in Morocco.
I stayed in this beautiful first floor room and loved it—the 20 foot ceiling, spacious bathroom, and lovely enamel bathtub felt indulgent. Comfortable, luxurious bed and bedding. Note that the room did not lock (apparently common in riads.) Will stay here again!
Riad Al Assala is a great place to stay when you're in Marrakech. It's close to a lot of tourist attractions including a 5 mins walk to the main square.
La Mia, riad's receptionst, was very helpful and made sure that I had a fantastic experience during my stay.
Would definitely recommend this!

Although it can be difficult to find in the narrow side streets of the medina, once you enter through the plain black door of the riad, you enter a peaceful beautiful courtyard with palm trees and a pool in the center. We were welcomed with tea while our room was prepared. There are only 6 rooms available that circle the courtyard. We had the family suite which was two tiers inside and it was very nice and clean. Breakfast is served by the pool in the mornings with fresh fruit and assorted pastries. The staff was very nice and attentive.

Thank you for your comment and we look forward to welcoming you in one of our hotels in Al Assala
Sincerely,
We stayed for 4 nights, our room was cleaned daily, the staff is amazing, they always polite and helpful. The riad is very near to the main square, it's very central location, easy to find. The breakfast and dinner is ok, it could improve. Other than that everything was very good, I would recommend it to my friends.

Six day mini break to Marrakesh to enjoy some winter sun and see some interesting sights. A colourful experience with some decent food and good buys. Marrakesh itself is great value.

This Riad is only moments away from the large square and is an oasis of calm after the hustle and bustle of the people and town. Very safe place to stay

Comfy quaint small size riad
This was our first riad experience in Morocco.
Flexible staff, clean room, quiet and beautiful rooftop.
Close to the square and convenient to walk around.
Slow wifi, weak water pressure, minimal amenities are down side, and breakfast was a bit expensive for what we got.
But overall, it was satisfying for our first riad experience.
Riad in good location - don't be put off the first time you walk down what looks like a dodgy lane just around the corner from the main square - once you figure out where you are in relation to everything it's fine.
Facilities were clean and the Riad very calming after being out and about. in Marrakech. We didn't eat in as it seemed a little expensive but the coffee was good and we had for breakfast at a café 2 minutes away..
It was a wonderful stay the only problem is that the first two nights i was there was a problem because there was cockroaches in the bathroom at night, so they then changed my room thankfully

Thank you for your feedback. Please note that we have regular treatments throughout the property, and also treated immediately when this issue was raised. Morocco is a poor country, however, and the medina has these problems, which are not possible to competely eliminate. We strive to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, but bugs can fly through windows.

Relaxing Riad in the heart of the Medina
Riad Al Assala provided a calm and relaxing space in the heart of the medina. Perfectly located in the city of Marrakech, only 5 minutes walk from the main square and central Mosque, great location if you like to be in the hustle and bustle of the city. The rooms where very large and are very well represented from the online photographs, very good condition and very comfortable. The hotel staff were fantastic, warm, friendly and very kind, especially the night staff who ensured we were safe when coming to and from the Riad (via taxi's) at night.
The Riad is located at a very convenient place And it's easily accessible compared to other Riads. Friendly staffs and management. Room was in a very good condition.
I've stayed in this Riad for two weeks with my husband and it was just perfect. It's location is perfect because it's right next to the main square which is where all the food places are and the massive mosque is and also the popular market, but it's also not too far from the city centre. The service was excellent and there is always someone that can speak English as well as Arabic and French . Even the staff that can't speak English too well give an exceptional service Zahira and Hajiba were my favourite members of the staff always taking a special care of us : ))
We loved our stay in Riad Al-Assala Medina. The staff were very pleasant, helpful and accommodating. The hotel was like out of the pages of a historical romance...and right in old Marrakech. From the moment you walk out the door and turn the corner a few steps away your shopping experience begins right into the "Square" where everything happens. I will definitely be staying here again when I return.
Smashing little Riad in a great location. Enter and all the hustle and bustle of the City is left outside. A small pool which is essential after a long, hot day (or even a short, hot day) to dip into and cool down. Lovely, spacious, comfortable room with air conditioning. Beautiful, open communal area. Small but cosy. Definitely recommend.
