I stayed in Marseille for one night and in Paris for 6. I wish I could go back and flip these times just for the hotel alone! This hotel was spacious and clean. The amenities are awesome. Stove, utensils, pots and pans, and microwave are all provided. There's also a towel warmer in the bathroom which was a great perk. There was a working elevator, air conditioning, and beautiful views out the window. Friendly and helpful staff too. I would absolutely stay here again.

Overall very good value-for-money. Close to tram into centre, with essential small food shops nearby. The single lift was slow, with delays when groups arrived/departed. Simple, functional rooms. Helpful staff.

Highly recommend for no-frills budget travelers, especially for those who stay in Marseille for a while! *It’s in the revitalized industrial/ port areas. The process is still in progress in some parts, but it’s clean and safe, despite some bad reviews I read. *The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. *A fully equipped small kitchenette for one person or two. Everything worked well. *The room I stayed was really clean. I work out on the floor every morning even when I travel, so I can tell how clean the floor is! *I took #49 bus to Aix-en-Provence just a few blocks away from this Apartment. Very convenient, and #49 is a little cheaper than the fancier #50 from Saint-Charles. *I stayed at the end of November and was told the heater was not working yet. It was a little chilly, but the heat pipes in the bathroom worked. Just be prepared. I fully support their efforts to conserve energy 😊

Easy access to the old port and other attractions in Marseille. The person we interacted with at the desk was very friendly and helpful, gave us some tips to explore the area which was a highlight of our visit.

The hotel policy on cleanliness it below standard
They got winter duvet on beds rather then summer duvet in the summer time, and no air conditioning in the room,,, when we enter the room we notice the toilet roll was not a new toilet roll but we forgetten to ask for a new roll until on the third night in the middle of the night we ran out, and there was no spare toilet roll available,,, normally there should be few available in the room,, it just one of the basics,,, the fridge was not a fridge it was freezer on the second night it flooded/defrosted,,, we got few dessert yogurts and put it in the fridge by the morning the yogurt was frozen. As for the shower on the first morning we ask them/reception to clean it nothing was done to clean it but when we return later in the evening towels were change but deliberately left the shower dirty even we mentioned to reception the person before us hair was on the shower head,,, there was no tea kettle but a coffee machine it was no good,,, the general cleaningness was below standard I will insert photos of the dirty shower,,, but does not matter

The air wasn’t working and I had I ope. The windows, I also saw that other guest had to open there wiNdows as well. The lighting in the bathroom sucks not great for makeup at all.

The dirtiest hotel I have ever stayed at. The smoke detector is was ripped out of the ceiling and the safe did not work, there was flies all around the room and the shower floor was yellow and dirty. Would not recommend it to anyone. Front counter staff was not helpful either. I am still awaiting my refund. What a disgrace of a hotel. DO NOT STAY HERE

The hotel is in a rough area. Room was relatively clean but the AC isn’t working properly. Air is blowing out of the went but it doesn’t cool the room down even though I out on the lowest temperature which makes it impossible to sleep when it’s 30 degrees outside and inside.

I had a booking with them, and when i got to the hotel they said that they had cancelled without even notifying me. They sent me and my husband away, the two women at the front were soo rude, no hospitality or customer service skills whatsoever and the hotel looked clean on the outside but manky on the inside... the staff are super rude and abnoxious. DONT ever go there i wouldnt reccommend, I didnt end up staying there but after a couple of hours I noticed that they took payment from my accound. When i asked fot a refund they snubbed us off again. So they have taken our money without us even staying there! Thieves!

a not so 3 stars hotel in marseille
Frankly i don't know what to say about all the reasons to not go there : - they try to charge you for a room already paid on hotels.com - they refused at first to provide a receipt for local taxes (unbelivable) - they say the check in is at 4pm then when i showed the email where it's written between noon and 4pm they said sorry we meant midnight ! So i did have to wait two hours for my room and what a room ! - at arount 10pm i felt something in my hand and actually there was insects in the bed Avoid this place if you need a peacful vacation

Just Plain Wrong!!!!
I found this hotel thinking it was a great deal for a few nights in marseille. Based on the pictures, the hotel appeared to be a nice and cozy stay in a fully furnished studio. Little did I know that I would be checking into a semi renovated room in a creepy building. The check in process was a complete mess as the staff did not have any rooms available when I showed up. The utensils and plates in the kitchen area were not well cleaned. The bathroom sink was faulty and the water could not go down fast which caused a bad odor. The air condition vents did not work properly so regardless of whether you put on the heater or cold air, nothing changed. The room just remained stuffy. I stayed for a total of 5 nights and no one ever entered the room to clean. On the 3rd day I went to go ask and was told that they only clean the room once every 7 days so I'm not qualified to have my room cleaned. This is the most absurd thing I have ever heard. No only that but I was also told that they would have to charge me if I need more clean towels. Again, I stayed for 5 nights and only 2 towels were provided. The breakfast was also a dissapointment. The supposed "scrambled eggs" was just yellow pudding. I first thought it was a mistake but it was the same thing put out every morning. Overall, I am highly disappointed in this stay and I regret ever choosing this hotel. What was advertised was very different from reality.

It was a really bad experience. The rooms does not match the reality at all. The hallway, the room and even the cafeteria were really dirty. There was a lot of dust; swabs on the floor; spiders; spider webs; the curtain was falling off and was really dirty; there was hair and old soap from previous customers on the shower; to have a shower we had to hold it while showering because it was broken; we were in two people and there was only one towel, ripped; the toilet was dirty; there wasn’t hygienic paper and we had to buy it; we asked for one more towel, hygienic paper and extra pillows and they said they didn’t have; the breakfast was also bad, in a dirty cafeteria with products that didn’t look fresh.

The property is renovated new , the room was spacious and clean and for the breakfast the hotel offers a wide selection of food. The only downside is the location, however the city centre is only at 10 min ride with a bus or tram.

This hotel was located in a bad part of town. The exterior is unattractive, and the interior is worse. There is little good I can say about the room. The microwave was broken, there was just one bath towel and one roll of toilet paper, the bath gel dispenser was empty, and the bathroom wastepaper can had not been emptied. In short, the housekeeper did a lousy job, if indeed he was there at all. We mentioned the wastepaper can problem to the desk clerk, but nothing was done about it then or later. (No housekeeping was done the next day.) On the positive side, the desk clerks were relatively helpful and the breakfast (extra charge) was above average. Still, I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone.

Cockroaches not a good sign.
Hotel is okay. Convenient to our business locations. But the room they gave us, as soon as we entered, had a terrible smell. We were exhausted from long day of work and driving, and we thought maybe we don’t want to go all the way back to reception to change the room, but the smell was gross, so we went back. The next room, was fine, until we used the bathroom. Cockroaches!!!. I took a video as well as pictures. Shut the door right and put towels against it so the cockroaches couldn’t come through to the bedroom. (But they are probably in the whole building if they are in one room). I am just hoping our luggage is not infested when we get back home with any larvae. We were tooo exhausted at this point. It was around midnight. We reported it to the front desk at check out the next morning. Showed the receptionist the picture and video. We had to leave for our meeting. She said she would make a note of it, and get it fixed. Not a good experience for hotel guests

Staff were helpful and polite. The single lift seems to take forever as everyone has to use it (including the cleaners) which can be a little frustrating. Room was pretty comfortable but not that clean (there were dozens of squashed mosquitos over the ceiling and walls although I never actually saw a live mosquito). Location was ok, close to metro station which was handy although generally spent time in Marseilles so can't say a lot about the area.

Booking in was good friendly staff but the room stunk and the carpet was dirty with stains there was moles in the shower and you had to ask for towels as they only give you one for two people and had to ask for extra toilet paper and they dont clean rooms very day the aircon was so thick with dust we had to keep the window open . Bad location to everything.

Very basic hotel in the middle of a construction site. There is absolutely nothing around. And is more like a 2 Star hotel rather than a 3 Star. The rooms themselves are very small and far from the picture shown on Expedia, with zero ventilation in the dirty bathroom making the whole room smell damp. The bathroom has a wet room style shower so it is actually just a section in the corner of the room with a drain on the floor and shower hose on the wall so there is nothing to stop the water from spreading across the bathroom floor. My bathroom actually flooded every day because the drainage system was so poor, with the water spilling into the room every time we showered. We actually had to put towels at the door so it wouldn’t spread any further. At no point during my stay did I see house keeping clean mine or any other room and they even request that you tidy your room as best possible before you leave. I won’t be going back

Very good, but spoiled by one irritating problem
Their WiFi compares very unfavourably with their competition. We had a better connection on a barge on a canal out in the French countryside. It's very annoying to come back to the hotel with photos to send off, email to check, news to scan and be faced with repeated dropouts requiring a or several tedious reconnect attempts, or 'connected' but no internet. This is 2017, that sort of crap is unnecessary! Apart from that, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Appart'City to friends but I wouldn't inflict that sort of irritation on a friend.

Great Staff makes this hotel worth the stay
This hotel was in kind of a sketchy area in Marseille (I'd say on the border of the Industrial, new growth area and the more worn down part of the city) but the staff at the hotel are very nice and helpful. One of the front desk workers walked me through the best (and cheapest) way to get to the airport which was really helpful for me. Rooms are decently clean (a few smudges on the walls in mine) but also pretty spacious with a mini kitchenette area. Warning: you have to oay for the Wi-fi. It's a 15-20 min walk to the Old Port. Would recommend if you're lookong for a low budget place to stay for a short period of time.

Decent hotel
Check in was easy and painless, with friendly staff. We were on the 9th floor so we had some pretty good views of the city. The bathroom also had a towel warmer which was a nice touch! Overall it was nothing life-changing, but it was a welcome place to come back and rest after a long day of walking. One thing to note though is that the free Wi-Fi is only available in the lobby, so keep that in mind when you're checking in.
