I like to support the 'little guy'. The independent operator in a small town. This one deserves no such support. First the positive: Comfortable bed, 'pause button' on the TV, Waffles different and good,exterior looks nice and the rooms were clean. Now the negative: no desk lamp (no outlet for it even),flimsy molded stacking desk chair was only chair in room, vey worn stair treads in back, cable junction box broken and exposed,dresser drawer hardly opens, Tiny TV for 2024,no bath mat for slippery tub unless requested at front desk, single ice machine for entire property (noisy and in breakfast area), flavorless sausage and gravy,worst pre made scrambled egg patty, juice machine was never working for the 4 days we were there,very dated electrical in room all outlets used but 4 on lamps none by desk (CPAPs, phones, computers, room clock require more). Now for the really bad. Having made reservations on Expedia I hadn't notice the 6 AM prior day change restriction. Having stayed 3 previous night and looking to leave on the last night of a 2 night reservation I did not consider it out of line to ask for an early out a day and a half prior. The owner, as is their prerogative, denied my request, which I consider very poor business practice. But that is not what really frosts me. The manager later offered to accept a cancellation if I rebooked at 4X the price for the first night (eclipse demand pricing) as though that was an acceptable compromise. Appreciate you trying to look out of the Independent Operators. So the main issue is that your reservations we couldn't cancel or change due to the simple fact that you had booked through expedia and states on the reservation that it is non-cancellable or changeable. When you book through a 3rd party reservation channel there is nothing we at the property level can do. The reason why you get a better rate with 3rd party because there are lots of restrictions on the reservation and the cancellation policy is very strict. We appreciate your feedback. Appreciate your feedback on your recent stay. We wished you would have mentioned something to our staff so we could have addressed the issues right away. Regarding the exhaust fan its a central exhaust system on roof so guest do not see the fan in room but there is exhaust vent in bathroom. Our breakfast includes Biscuits, sausage gravy, Egg patty, 2 kinds of cereal, coffee, Juice, Yogurt, Oatmeal, Fruit, Waffles. We appreciate your feedback. Have a Blessed Day.

Worst hotel/motel I was in during my travels in US. Stolen or broken bulbs in room, dirty floor, beds with used springs (very uncomfortable), teared down sheets (from being to old), stained towels. Terrible condition and dirty. Was afraid to touch anything. Just avoid.

Sorry to hear about your experience during your recent stay. If our rooms were that bad why didn't you go to the frontdesk and check out right away and asked for a refund? It is simply "not right" in any way to charge a fee of $50 to the credit card as some sort of security scam as I am at the registration desk of the Inn...and they say, the amount will be charged to my credit card account and later taken off if there is no damage to the room. As of today, March 21, I have not received any information as to the charge and its' removal/credit to my account...now, you get ahold of the Wingfield Inn and find out why the charge was posted but no credit was posted even though the Wingfield staff said the credit would take place in a day or two after my March 14th stay...I want answers...not apologies

Please call the property and ask for the manager and we will make sure you get your answers right away. Regarding your deposit after you are checked out we release the deposit as long as there is no damage or missing items. Sometimes it takes upto 7-10 business days for the funds to appear on your account. It all depends on the bank or the credit card company that your card is through. But you can rest assure than we are not here to scam people for 50. If you really look at a reality 50 doesn't even cover 2 blankets in this day and age. Appreciate your feedback. Very budget motel. Daily Service, Nice breakfast bar, Coffee was available through the day. For a visit with family, I stayed extra days because of affordability. That trumps distance from downtown and small rooms for me.

We saw a lot of construction in front and around Wingfield Inn. Called to check about reservations. Was told they had no reservations for us. Tried with several possible names but no reservations seen. Went to different locations. Did not stay so can not review.Looks like it would be an ok place to stay when construction is finished.

While they claimed to have checked the room, there was trash on the floor, a bad stale odor, bed covers unkempt, overall conditions were old, stained, unwelcoming. The smells triggered my asthma and made it impossible to stay, but they would not refund my money.

The staff was very friendly. They took care of any issues that arose. The night we arrived the toilet was backed up. We had to wait until the next day to resolve it due to our late arrival. The maintenance man came pretty quickly and resolved the issue. The refrigerator was pretty rusted on the outside. It worked just fine, but looked rough. The outlets were loose. The plugs would fall out easily. The phone did not work and Most of the buttons were missing. Also the floors weren't very clean. We had to wear our shoes because our feet were getting dirty walking around. Like I said, the staff was great, but the room lacked in cleanliness.

Front desk employee was very nice and friendly. The room was not clean- the chair has crumbs in the seat, there is a fly in the room, the towels are stained, and the floor was dirty. I think the cost of this room was too high for what you get.

Me and my children have enjoyed Wingfield Inn as our weekend get away spot all summer! The staff is helpful and friendly; they keep their rooms and the pool area exceptionally clean, and their breakfast in the morning is delicious!

The condition of the sign and the building where you check in had me worried, but the lady at the front desk was very nice and friendly. The room was clean. We felt safe during our stay. I would definitely stay here again.

There was a 4-foot gash in the ceiling from water damage and overnight water poured through it and ruined my clothes. Coffee maker literally exploded when I turned it on. AC had to run all night to cool room. Front desk attendant was unconcerned about these issues. I asked to get a call from the manager and never did.

If you want elegance, stay elsewhere, but if you want economical, stay here. We stayed the weekend in 103, and was comfortable! It was very hot and humid, and the room was wet with humidity, as the fan was the only thing on when we entered, but after A/C was engaged, it dried up the floors, etc…the bed was comfy, and the room was clean. NO bugs!! The pool was nice, and breakfast consisted of, biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, make your own waffles, mini cinnamon rolls, a couple kinds of dry cereal, and packets of hot cereals, and yogurt…along with regular coffee, milk, and a juice machine…(no meat:( )…My only warning would be, watch out for the hot water…it gets very hot, and the shower has great pressure!!

Staff were helpful and gracious. The room was adequate. But sheets and towels were all stained…left us with a sense of uncleanliness. Can tell hotel/rooms are in need of upgrades and repairs. (Know some of the outside needs were from the tornado in 2021…so we totally understand about that and that it will take time to repair.

The office staff worker is extremely nice lady. Although I did not indulge they did offer a breakfast of some sort. The room was clean, the sheets had some stains, and the overall condition of the room and bldg was less than stellar. However, the cost was under $100 per night so perhaps you get what u pay for.
