Pros: Hotel was quiet. nice
Cons: Improvements are being done, more parking space. A long stretch limo was parked there taking about 8 parking spaces.
The hotel was under construction which was incovienent. Im sure it will be great when it gets renovaded

Staff was very helpful but hotel was under renovation an make things only OK. Once completed will be excellent.

Disappointing from last years excellent stay

Pros: Room was clean. Breakfast was good.
Cons: End the remodel, will give it one more chance when complete. However there is a Holiday Inn being built next door.
Location: Close to the University of Pan American and easy access from the highway. Close to shopping and dinning. New Holiday Inn being built next door.
Stayed there last year and the stay was excellent. The hotel was under going a remodel and ruined our stay. Old furniture stacked up in the lobby and parking lot. smell of paint, no air in common areas and sounds of construction from early morning to late evening. Construction equipment and worker vehicles all over parking lot, very little room for guests.

People who work there were great. Location is fabulous. Breakfast was good, though wish breakfast was open till 10 am everyday. Hotel needed updating which they were working on while we were there. Carpeting needed changing because it smelled almost damp in room. Again, I believe they were in the process of changing this too. Rooms were large enough. Wish windows in room had 2 curtains, sheer and room darkening because during the day you could not open curtains because people walking outside could see in. I would definitely go back, especially after the remodel.

Breakfast wasn't that great, the hotel has a lot of issues and needs to be remodeled ASAP! Friendly staff and clean rooms. Plumbing issues in room and the water smelt horrible!

Staff was courteous and pleasant, but did not do a thorough job taking care of guests. For example, ongoing renovations made the laundry room unusable, ice machines were not working during most of our 3-day stay, and the water in the hot water dispenser in the breakfast area was cold . In addition, the task chair in our room was broken. When I requested another chair hotel staff brought me another chair that was also broken. Hotel staff finally delivered a working chair after another request. The rest of our experience at this hotel was very satisfactory.

Gagging on the smell of cat urine...

The room smelled very strongly of cat urine; it assaulted you as you walked through the door, and the smell never diminished. When I complained and ask that they change the bed linens, there was no apology, but they did so, after which the smell remained just as strong. I was told that they had no more rooms and was not offered a refund, and as my ire and incredulity rose, they suddenly "found" another room for me, a much larger one which I'm sure they were holding out to rent for more. How could they possibly have rented my original room out when it smelled that way?

Great room. Clean, comfortable and exactly what I was expecting. Texas-shaped waffles are a bonus with the complimentary breakfast ;)
