It really is the perfect escape!
In town for our daughter’s graduation from Penn State and cannot say enough good things about this exceptionally beautiful and hi-tech home. Clean, comfortable, supplied and stocked with everything we needed and offering a respite from the world on a secluded property. Owners were instantly responsive to questions.

The Absolute Best
This place was amazing. 14 of us stayed (7 teenagers, 2 twentysomethings, 3 forty somethings, and 2 grandparents!!!). From oldest to youngest we ALL loved this place. It fit us all comfortably with lots of space inside. All three levels were set up for constant entertainment. The loft and chill area, main level kitchen and living room was so gorgeous and open, and the basement was entertainment central. Wet bar, guitars, drums on a riser (with strobe lights to boot). The pool table, and other bar games were awesome. Couches in each sitting area were as comfortable as I’ve ever been in!! And then, my goodness, the outdoor space was just as incredible. The hot tub, multiple sitting areas, two level deck, gorgeous creek for ambiance. The night time stars. The woods in behind the property. Everything was serene and pristine! My entire family was blown away to say the least. And Dustin and Sabrina were incredibly responsive and available the whole time. Oh and I can’t forget - the message chair. It was the surprise hit of the long weekend. And I’m sure there’s more I’m missing. If you want a nature filled, outdoorsy small town getaway - this is the place!! This is the first VRBO rental we’ve ever done so the experience has definitely given us tremendous confidence in future rentals as well.

Peaceful Family Stay
My family enjoyed our stay here! The home was very clean upon arrival. We enjoyed our time around the fire, taking a walk, sitting on the porch, playing pool and darts. The kitchen had everything you need for your meals. We were glad they provided folding tables and chairs so we could sit at to eat and play card games. We felt away from the busy world, yet the internet/smart items were amazing. Dustin was very quick in getting back to me with any questions. We really had a great time, tons of laughter, and enjoyed making more memories here!

Peaceful getaway
If you are looking for a place to sit back and relax and get away from it all- this is the perfect getaway. My husband and I celebrated our anniversary and enjoyed a much needed escape. The house is tucked away in a wooded area and there is only one neighbor within site and they are peaceful and keep to them selves. We felt like we had the world all to ourselves. Total privacy and a great semi-remote area. We enjoyed walks in the woods, playing music, cooking meals at home and evenings soaking in the hot tub. We traveled with our Doberman and he loved the getaway as much as we did. He was happy sleeping in front of the indoor fireplace and running the woods during the day while on our hikes. Highly recommend this place. The property owner and his wife were always available to answer questions and were fast with responses.

Christmas get away
We had a nice Christmas getaway with my brother and his wife. Enjoyed all the amenities and some local hiking. Kitchen was well stocked, wifi and smart home features were great, and now everyone wants a massage chair! Would definitely stay again.

Excellent holiday retreat
This Perfect Escape is amazing! It certainly was the perfect retreat for my extended family's annual holiday trip. There was adequate sleeping accommodations for all. The house is the perfect size, spacious yet cozy. The wood burning fireplace added to the cozy festiveness of the home. The adults and teenagers enjoyed the lower level game room and hot tub. The property is in a serene location surrounded by woods. We enjoyed a walk around the property. The kitchen is wonderfully stocked with everything you will need to prepare meals for your family. The extra, full-sized refrigerator in the basement was helpful. The house was very clean. Their is pride in ownership of this home. Our only complaint (as voiced by several others) was the lack of water pressure and hot water. There was also an unpleasant odor at the kitchen sink. Overall, we would definitely stay at the Perfect Escape again! Thank you Dustin and Sabrina for allowing us to enjoy your home.

Amazing Country Side
The property was absolutely beautiful with lots of amenities. Amazing time, nice relaxing. Great home, we went for the Penn State Michigan game, and it was about 35 minutes from the stadium, but if you want to get off the grid. It is the perfect place to be off grid. We had to drive to the end of the driveway to use our phones. Lol. Internet worked perfectly, though. We needed a get a way. We met from Las Vegas, Michigan, INdiana and Pittsburgh. Amazing trip. Amazing location.

Wonderful get away!!!
We met our adult children there for an early thanksgiving and birthday celebration for 4 of us. The house was wonderful, the backyard was over the top and the location was exactly what we were looking for--secluded, but not really too far from a grocery store!

Best house in the area
This house far exceeds the pictures!! Everything was beautiful and they go above and beyond to make sure your stay is what you need! We lost power at one point but no problem because in seconds the onboard generator came on and we were back to our activities. I will definitely be reaching out again if I need a house in the area

Absolutely 5 stars!!
Had an amazing weekend at the cabin!! The property was everything we could have hoped for, and the hosts were quick to respond to our questions and the one very minor issue we experienced during our stay. We’re already looking for another weekend to spend up at this beautiful property next year!

A wonderful place to recharge
The property in person was even better than the photo's showed. it's spacious, clean, well put together. Beds and sheets are comfortable and the kitchen is fully stocked with everything you would need to make a gourmet meal. the owner really put time into making thtis property a first class establishment. We had a little issue with hot water not keeping up and/or not working on our last night, but I'm sure that is an easy fix. the only other issue is that we only stayed 3 nights...we should have booked a whole week!

Better than advertised! Relaxing environment and a lovely home
From the moment we stepped foot into this lovely house, we were absolutely amazed! It truly is a stunning place, and the hosts were fantastic - always quick to respond and incredibly considerate with the amenities they provided. The wrap around decks and porch were just perfect for both having a good time and unwinding, and our big group felt so at ease and content. The basement was the perfect hangout with a pool table and the most comfortable sectional sofa.

Fantastic Getaway
As a family we just needed a break from city life. The house was fantastic and spacious there were 7 of us and still room for more! Since I have limited space to review I must say the outside is just as fantastic as the house it’s self! My children loved running around and watching the beautiful fish in the stream! Would definitely recommend and have to say one of the best places we have stayed so far 😊

State College Retreat
We were attending a graduation at Penn State and after staying in State College to visit over the last few years wanted something different. The property setting is great and convenient enough to State College. In addition, the property is spacious inside and out. It rained a bit during our visit however the covered porch, hot tub and other amenities allowed us to enjoy our time at the property. Great place and was exactly as advertised.

Perfect Escape
We booked this home to get away from our busy work schedules and the hustle and bustle of life in Philadelphia, and we were not disappointed. The house is beautiful and very clean. We loved all the amenities and had no issue finding something fun to do even on rainy days. We knew there isn’t a lot in that area but we’re pleasantly surprised by the restaurant suggestions from our hosts. We had several great meals out in addition to the meals we prepared for ourselves in the spacious kitchen. We definitely plan to rent this property again. We had an excellent time!
