Perfect Location for Experiencing Uptown
My wife and I recently stayed at this property on a weekend trip to visit our daughter and son-in-law, who have the good fortune of living in Uptown. The apartment was clean, comfortable and steps away from our daughter’s place. Faith was a great host, responsive and attentive when needed. We’re very likely to stay here again on future visits.

Perfect spot
Loved this apartment! Great location, well laid-out and with everything we needed. Faith was really responsive and organized. Really helpful to have a parking spot, too. I wouldn't change anything and hope we can stay again next time we're in town.

Old and dirty building located on busy, noisy Lagoon St.
2 old window AC units were used to try and cool the unit. The bedroom unit went out and owner was notified on 7/17, responded 3 days later, as of today 7/31, our last day, still no AC. Lagoon St is so busy it is too noisy to leave windows open. Microwave does not work well. There was no skillet or toaster. The coffee pot was nasty. Convenient to downtown and uptown areas. Building lobby/halls is extremely dirty.

Comfort, style and a fabulous location!
Stayed here a few years ago and came back because we truly love the location and amenities of this place. Stylish and functional decor, off street parking, an extremely comfortable bed. It's also only steps to uptown, the Chain of Lakes and the Midway bike trail. Not to mention it's pet friendly and surprisingly quiet considering the neighborhood. Will definitely stay again in the future!

Great apartment in a great location
My wife and I had a lovely stay here over the Holidays. The Uptown area is terrific, the apartment was very nice, and it was great for my dog too. Any issue that came up was dealt with in a timely manner. Only draw back was the noise on the street outside the bedroom, but otherwise, it was a great stay.

Location is Outstanding! Best in the Twin Cities - noisy though
Overall we have positives feedback on the space and working with the property manager. The best thing about the unit is the location. It’s awesome that there is a parking spot available, especially once winter starts. In the summer, this place would be a rock star spot. It’s nearby two of the best lakes (Isles and Calhoun), it’s 1/2 block from a grocery store, and the restaurants and shopping in the area are great. The unit allows dogs, which is helpful and appreciated. There is ample area to walk your dog as well. The biggest negative is the noise. Although the main level unit is an awesome spot in the city, it’s at the worst spot for noise. It was too bad the unit wasn’t on the other side of the building. It’s an old building which is fun for character, terrible for noise protection. It’s right on a main road so morning traffic is loud and drunk people at night walking home from the bars can be annoying. People in the building are really rude with slamming the front door too. You can only hear that if you’re in the living room, not really from the bedroom. The unit itself was overall nice. Not a big space, but we’ll decorated. There was a few maintenance issues when we were there, but the property manager was responsive. Overall we would stay there again if in the area. We just couldn’t give it five stars because of noise, which isn’t in their control. The spot faces a very busy street, it is what it is. If you like walkability though, this is perfect!

Great secret "getaway" from the Family spot
Not nice to say but we all know it, didn't want to stay with family this year so tried this out and it was Fabulous! Very very warm and roomy and stocked with all you need. The apartment is super great, outside great, safe and active and the location...can't go wrong. Everything is within walking distance. This year the entire family embarked on us for once and all complimented our selection. Faith is great and available for any stupid question you will have because you didn't read her very well detailed email thingy. Jameya and Jolene will stay there next year if she'll have us :) Faith, Thank you!

Perfect place in Uptown!
This was our second stay in this perfect apartment. Close to everything, with Lunds & Byerly grocery store across the street. You don't need a car. Uptown art fair was half a block away and this time we rented bikes from Nice ride and pedaled around the lakes and on the midtown greenway. We love Minneapolis and Faith's place adds to the experience. We plan to go back soon. Thank you.

Charming apartment in amazing location!
Staying right in the Uptown neighborhood just two blocks from Lake Calhoun will make you feel like a local! I stayed here for two weeks in July and never ran out of things to do...renting bikes, running the lakes, going to the theater, walking to the Walker. This apartment's incredible location meant I didn't even need a car. And the apartment is adorable! It is much more spacious than in the pictures. The dining room table is a great place to read and write, the kitchen is well stocked, the bed is super comfortable, and the whole place is filled with natural light and historic touches like wooden floors. Sure, there's street noise at night - that's part of living in a city! I am checking out this morning, and am so sorry to leave!

Perfect location
The overall property was just as advertised. It was in a great location near to everything we wanted like the bike trail and restaurants. We evan had the benefit of the Bastille Day block party right across the street on July 16. I will definitely book this property the next time I'm up visiting family. Thanks Faith

Just as advertised
larger than I expected, great location, nice kitchen, EXCELLENT coffee maker. The washer/dryer was a really nice feature for us. The air conditioning drowned out the (expected) city street noise well. About 2 blocks from the world's best fish tacos at the Tin Fish as well as a bike rental place. Would love to come back. Only minor negative was no dedicated parking spot but found easily within 1 block on the street.

Enjoyable stay for a month in Uptown
This is a comfortable apartment in an old building; it is well furnished and tastefully decorated. The kitchen is updated, very well equipped, and there is a generous supply of staples and condiments. We particularly liked the comfortable bed, fast wifi, having Amazon TV so we could stream from Amazon and Netflix, the in-unit washer and dryer, and the off-street parking space. The location means 2 lakes, the library, 2 fitness centers, 2 movie theaters, lots of restaurants and retail including a great grocery store are all within a few blocks. Faith was always responsive to questions. The only negative is the traffic noise; the apartment faces a very busy street.

Perfect apartment in prime location by the Lakes in Uptown
We stayed over a week in this perfect and well appointed apartment. One (!) block from the bicycle path (Midtown Greenway) and two blocks from either Lake Calhoun or Lake of the Isles. The apartment had everything we could wish for. Comfortable bed, nice kitchen and a beautiful wide window that let the sun in. Faith was a perfect hostess and we had no issues. Highly recommended! Book early! We would have stayed longer, but it was already booked. Thank you! PS Good restaurant nearby is Amazing Thai and breakfast is best at Isles Bun and Coffee

Great Uptown Location
Very convenient for what we wanted to do in the area. We felt comfortable with our dog in this location with the walking path near by. The only thing we would add is more comfortable seating.

Good location but some quirks
Absolutely loved this location close to stores and restaurants! Just be aware it's very bright at night (screens are thin) and there is heavy traffic, so light sleepers will have trouble. Cute place tho. A bit surprised there was no toaster and no nonstick pan. Be ready for managing radiators by opening windows (New York City style) and a gas cooktop/oven. All the charms of an older building with character. Would have explored more of the neighborhood but it was hovering around 0F during my stay.

Spiffy apartment in hip neighborhood
My wife, myself and our two big dogs loved staying at this ground floor apartment in Uptown. Faith, the owner, called us just before check-in time to make sure everything would go well and was very helpful. Her apartment is tidy, comfortable, and has all the amenities you would expect. Great vibe. Two block walk to the Lake of the Isles path that was enjoyable even in the frigid winter. I bet it is even better in warmer months. The Uptown neighborhood has good restaurants (Barbette is literally a block away and Libertine about 5 blocks away--the spots we tried and enjoyed) and great people watching. We came to Minneapolis on a pilgrimage to Paisley Park but also enjoyed the Walker Art Museum, and great bars and restaurants. Parlour--best bar, 112 Eatery--best restaurant, Norseman--best distillery.

Great place & location
First impression: The building is not a "brownstone" in the East Coast tradition, more of a brown brick apartment building of maybe 24 units & not so impressive on the outside. But the apartment itself is stylish, calm, casual chic, well equipped, and worked perfectly for our five-day stay. My husband and I were back for a gathering of my enormous family, and this was the perfect place for the two of us to escape and recharge. Lake Calhoun is a couple blocks away and a wonderful 50-60 minute walk around the paved path with views of the downtown skyline. The seasonal canoe/kayak/paddleboard rentals weren't available but many locals play at the lakes on a daily basis. I grew up near Lake Nokomis & hanging out at the city lakes and Minnehaha Falls are my fondest memories. The apartment is on a fairly busy street. It didn't bother us. We live in a similar urban residential area in Portland, OR. I travel with earplugs and used them. Halloween parties and a midnight showing of Rocky Horror nearby made for some fun people watching. Seriously wish we'd gone to RHPS We've stayed in VRBO in the USA & Europe and much prefer them to hotels for any 3+ day visits. This is definitely a lived-in apartment as opposed to the sterile investment-type rental. That means the owners' photos, chachkies, and clothes might be around. She made plenty of space for our things in the very large closet which was much appreciated. The kitchen is very well equipped. Though we mostly ate out, it was great to have a place for simple meals & snacks. I think someone else mentioned the uncomfortable counter stools. I'm 5'8 & a fairly slender size six and, literally, could not sit in them except at a very odd angle. (Now everyone's going to try the Cinderella Tush Test.) We used the dining chairs. One thing to keep in mind; the shower is in the clawfoot type bathtub so you have to step up and into it and it was a bit slippery. Probably not ideal for anyone with mobility issues but we had no problems. We also were glad to have the washer/dryer so we could pack light. Having a lockbox instead of meeting the owner was very convenient. (Once in France, our train broke down & we felt awful that the VRBO waited for hours for us.) Having a parking spot was excellent; street parking would be challenging. Highly recommend. I may never crash at a Minneapolis relative's house again.

Comfortable and very accommodating!
The location was perfect. Everything was walking distance, restaurants, groceries, lakes, bike rentals. It had an extreme homey feeling with all the amenities of home. It was nice to have the personal parking spot (for free). Remember it is in the city so you do have some city noise but not excessive. I travel to Minnesota for business and will definitely stay again. It beats a hotel!

Fantastic Location & Space!
This VRBO is fantastic. Absolutely perfect location (walking distance to shops, restaurants and Lake Calhoun). The owner keeps the space very clean and organized, and it gets wonderful light. Check in and check out was very easy. The only reason I can't give it the full 5 stars is because the street it's on is very noisy from cars. This is not at the fault of the owner, and it's a price to pay for being in a great location, but it did make it difficult to sleep at night. Otherwise, absolutely no complaints! Would stay here again, even with the street/car noise! Thanks, Faith!

Great location, cute apartment
Best location in uptown where you can walk to a number of restaurants and shops m. Our favorite neighborhood restaurant, barbette, is literally a block away. The lake of the isles is also not far and the bike/walking trail that connects you to downtown Minneapolis is only a block away. The street noise from the bedroom is audible, FYI. Lots of cars on lagoon avenue passing by and the occasional loud (and probably drunk) passerby at night. So, bring ear plugs if you think that will bother you. Also, the window shade in the bedroom doesn't quite black out the orange streetlight, so bring an eye mask if you think that may bother you. All around, great location that can't be matched by any hotel. Stay here!!!

Quaint, 1 bedroom in Uptown
Faith was very responsive and wanted to make sure our visit was successful. Quiet building overall. Not having to pay extra for parking, laundry onsite and a grocery store just a couple of blocks away was great. We enjoyed the walking/biking paths around Lake of the Isles. We would stay again.

Great location and stay
My husband and I stayed at Faith's quaint apartment in the Lake Calhoun centre. It was a great location - easy walking access to the lakes, shops and conveniences. We were visiting my brother who lived close so it was very easy to get together. The apartment has everything you could need and Faith was always available for any questions. Much nicer than a hotel room for a stay where you wanted to enjoy the city and feel at home. We would definitely return. Susan and Doug

Beautiful condo in a great location!
My boyfriend and I decided to spend the 4th of July weekend in Minneapolis with our dog and this apartment was perfect for our stay! The apartment is beautiful and had everything we needed. Plus, we couldn't have asked for a better location. Lake Calhoun was a 5 minute walk from the apartment and there were also tons of bars, restaurants and coffee shops in walking distance. We hope to visit again soon!

Location, location, location (and a great owner & unit)
I stayed for a week at this cute, cozy condo in the heart of Minneapolis' Uptown neighborhood. About two blocks from Lake Calhoun and its walking trails. Stones throw from restaurants, bars, grocery store, and movie theatre. Kitchen stocked with utensils, plates, condiments. Comfy bed, w/d, and alley parking spot. Bikes for rent about a block away in front of Lund's grocery store on Lake Street. Great neighborhood and accommodations. Faith was the perfect hostess: easy to reach, helpful, and Minnesota nice (very).Looking forward to another getaway soon. Thanks Faith!

We were very comfortable in the condo for four nights in October. The proximity to trails is great, and we enjoyed walking to restaurants and shops. The condo was well equipped and the description and photos are accurate.
