Monte Grande is the perfect place to stay while you are in Buenos Aires as a large number of the area’s most popular attractions are within easy driving distance. Enjoy some of the scenic parklands such as Lezama Park, the Parque Las Heras and the Buenos Aires Botanic Garden. Explore the local wilderness by heading to the Costanera Sur Ecological Reserve.
Visitors to the Monte Grande area should not miss out on Plaza Serrano, Plaza Dorrego and Edificio Kavanagh. Whatever your religious background, serenity and calm awaits at sacred places like the Basilica of Our Lady of Pilar. The Buenos Aires area features some evocative reminders of the past; every local history tour should begin with a visit to the Torre de los Ingleses and the Water Company Palace.
Head to Pacific Galleries, Patio Bullrich and Recoleta Mall to get in some retail therapy.
Sports fanatics should get tickets for nearby Estadio Libertadores de America, Avellaneda to see the Club Atletico Independiante in action. On game days follow the procession of red and navy, to the stadium, then after the full-time hooter blows, join local soccer lovers in the nearby pubs for a few post-game beers.
