Wow! I can’t express how much I was blown away with this property! It’s perfect! Spacious yet cozy, very convenient yet felt remote. Has literally EVERYTHING you could possibly need. Very comfy beds. I loved it here, and will be back. And my dog loved it as well!

Busy days quiet nights
During the middle of the days we were busy sight seeing and exploring the towns, but the mornings and evenings were beautiful and quiet at the cabin. The color of the fall leaves would reflect off the lake and coffee time was wonderful just staring out at the scenery. The nights were the same with a full moon, and the camp fire was relaxing while having a local brewed beverage

Comfy and Convenient!
We stayed here with our 2 pups to enjoy beautiful Lake Superior and do some hiking. This home is well-appointed, has everything you could possibly need. We have stayed at many VRBOs and have not experienced one that had everything you need in the kitchen, as well as plenty of towels, hand soap, trash bags etc. The s’mores kit was a lovely touch! Location is perfect, about 5 minutes from a beautiful beach with crystal clear water and easy access to hiking and sites like Miner’s Castle. This is a great place and we will be back!

Felt right at home
This rental was very cozy and spacious. Had many amenities. Beds were comfortable to sleep in. I usually wake up with a crick in my neck when not sleeping in my own bed, but thankfully, I never did here. The location was in between everywhere we visited and extremely easy to find. Loved that it had well water and not chemicalized city water. And I can't praise our host Danielle enough. She went above and beyond with the quick replies to our questions. We ran out of propane within the first day of our stay, and she was over with a full tank before I could blink haha! Silver lining is that I was able to meet her face-to-face and have a pleasant chat with her for a bit. We all highly recommend staying at this rental or any of their other ones just based on the perfect hospitality we experienced. Thanks bunches, Danielle, for making our stay very comfortable and fun (paddleboating and taking out the row boat on the lake). (:

Wonderful Vacation Home and great location!
My family of 4 plus our dogs stayed for almost a week while we explored Grand Island and Pictured Rocks. The house was perfect and was only a mile or so from the ferry to Grand Island! The kitchen had everything we needed to cook, and we loved the extra touch of dog bowls and smores kit! My 11 and 14 yo really loved the beds on the porch. They had the best views of the lake feom their beds. The master bedroom was wonderful! We loved the matress so much we are looking to replace ours at home with the same😁 We ate our meals outside on the patio, even though the kitchen could fit an army! The swing was perfect for my husband and I to enjoy quite cup of coffee in the mornings. This home was perfect! We hope to rent it anytime we come back to the Munising area.

Perfect Location for Exploring this Area
This location was PERFECT! Close proximity for visiting the island, kayaking, hiking, and going to the beach. We cooked all of our meals, and the kitchen was generously stocked w everything we needed. The owners checked in via email to see that we had everything we needed. Needs were anticipated and expectations were met. Quiet location, beautiful view, comfortable beds, house temps were very comfortable. We will be booking here for a return trip to this lakeshore!

Christmas in July
The Pines was a perfect find for our family of 5 plus 1 dog. Several enjoyed fishing in Furnace Lake, especially from the paddle boat which allowed access to where the perch and northern pike were biting. We were easily able to cook most of our meals in the well-appointed kitchen, and the water tasted great right from the faucet. The location was very convenient for our several trips to Miner's Beach along with enjoying mini golf, a shipwreck tour, a pontoon rental, ice cream at the corner gas station, and a morning excursion to Marquette. We were very happy here.

our 1st trip to the U.P.
Great location near the attractions around Munising yet somewhat secluded. Furnace Lake was great. We have our own Kayaks and enjoyed paddling and some early morning fishing. Would recommend the tours on lake Superior, We did the shipwreck and the pictured rocks cruises. Our 1st Mi. vacation but not our last.

We had an enjoyable stay at The Pines. The property manager checked in to make sure everything was OK and responded quickly to our questions. Our dog liked swimming in Furnace Lake. Foggy's (great food) and the casino are within walking distance!

Cottage getaway
My mother, sister and I stayed at the Pines for almost a week. From the moment we entered the cottage we fell in love with the accommodations. Everything is as advertised and we really can't think of anything it needed. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking items which we used almost daily. The fireplace was perfect as it was cold and rainy when we arrived. The location was perfect and Danielle (host) was very responsive to our inquiries and questions. All in all staying at this cottage made our trip perfect and memorable and we certainly hope to stay here again!

Perfect Visit to the UP
We loved your cozy house. Fully stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, porch and living room, etc. You have very enjoyable duck neighbors who kept us entertained on the lake. And we thoroughly enjoyed watching the sunsets from your yard. We went to as many waterfalls as we could and every waterfalls was different. Lots to see, do and photograph. We will be back.

This cozy and comfortable cottage exceeded our expectations. This home away from home was equipped with everything we might need in addition to unexpected extra niceties. A great U.P. vacation spot
The Pines was great for our family of four to spread out and enjoy a place close to Munising. There is so much to see in the U.P. and this property gave us a chance to do that and get in a lot of relaxation time too. Danielle was really responsive and gave clear instructions on payment and check-in. The house was well supplied, very clean, and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again and will recommend The Pines to our family and friends.

Comfortable Upper Peninsula Retreat
This was a comfortable, relatively spacious rental for 3 adults but there was definitely room for more if you wanted. Communication with host was excellent. Beds were very clean and comfortable. Overall, the house was tidy and even had a washer and dryer, and dishwasher! The lake view was super pretty and relaxing. While it’s not a swimming lake, it’s fine for paddling and fishing, and there are several Lake Superior beaches just a couple minutes away. There’s a large adjacent garage for your use as well if you need to store toys. If I had to make a recommendation for improvement it would be to get the living room furniture at least steam cleaned and potentially replaced. It’s well worn and has a dirty feel to it. Maybe clean slipcovers could work for a while. Pots and pans are usable but also well worn and could stand to be replaced. Otherwise, everything you could need was there. We really enjoyed the place!

We had a great stay at The pines in the beginning of May! My husband and I got married at Munising Falls during our stay and this was the perfect spot for the wedding/celebration weekend with friends and family. We really enjoyed being on the lake and so did our dog :) The property manager checked on us a couple of times during our stay to make sure we had everything we needed. The place was clean and the king bed was comfortable. The living room furniture is pretty outdated and uncomfortable but we did not spend a lot of time inside anyways. Our friends who stayed in the bedroom with the 1/2 bath had mentioned that the mattress was uncomfortable but other than that we have no complaints! Close to town and our favorite restaurant Foggy's! We had a nice bonfire one evening and it was nice to be able to park in the garage. I would defintely stay here again!

Can’t say enough about this rental. The location was perfect, the house was clean with plenty of space. The host was very prompt in answering any questions. To be able to use the heated garage is the best part. It’s nice to have a place to park sleds and keep gear. We will definitely be staying here again.

Perfect house for our needs
The house was very clean and had up to date furniture. Plenty of room for four adults and four children. The kids really enjoyed the paddle boat and row boat. Very spacious yard. Beautiful view of the lake. Lots of places to swim on Lake Superior. Close to Pictured Rocks and many waterfalls. Nice neighborhood to take a stroll through.

The cottage was very clean- all the rooms were nice size. The area is very quite- perfect for a relaxing getaway but close enough to all the Munising attractions. The food at Foggy’s Steakhouse was really good too!

Great experience renting this property - from the online booking to the moment we checked out. The house sits on a small lake, and very close to Lake Superior. Great location. The house itself was.very clean, comfortable, and fully equipped. Everything from spices, a variety of coffees, sugar, and so on. I wouldn't hesitate to rent this house again.

This property is beautiful! The home is very comfortable and the beds are excellent! Spent a large amount of time just sitting on the lake bank watching ducks and wildlife. The area is very quaint, quiet, neighborhood are super kind, gave us some tomatoes and tips onlocal sites to see. We felt at home here.
