Better than we expectedPosted Feb 27, 2014
We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at our hotel. The grounds and hotel were absolutely beautiful. We were upgraded to a Jr Suite on the 21st floor and had an amazing view of the water park and the ocean. Everyone was extremely helpful and pleasant which made our stay a very memorable one. We ate dinner one evening at Café Martinique and was served well by our waiter, Robert, and the Maitre'd, Warren. We will definitely be back.

Convenient Location for FamiliesPosted Feb 24, 2014
Cons: cleaning service, consistency of hotel staff service, thickness of walls (although I doubt this could be remedied)
Location: This hotel is all about The Atlantis activities.
If you're considering The Atlantis, the Royal Towers are centrally located so it's easy to get to all the fun kid/family stuff. The hotel room was sufficiently big, but the walls are very thin and I found the that cleaning service really varied from day to day. It is not cheap, and I'm just not sure you get what you pay for.

Beautiful hotel.Posted Feb 19, 2014
We had a room on the 12 floor facing the harbor which was beautiful. Able to watch ships and boats come and go. The only drawback is that everything is so expensive down there. We bought the value meal plan and dined at the Market Place in our hotel. All the food was great with a good variety.

excellent staff and all amenitiesPosted Feb 19, 2014
Pros: It has everything you could want to see an experience including a theater with new releases nightly.
Location: Everything you need is here but for a 12 dollar cab ride you can go to the shopping areas by cruise line docks.
we loved the hotel and staff. We had 5 star service in every area.

Impressive stayPosted Feb 18, 2014
We stay in this hotel for 6 nights, the facilities of this hotel are amazing, it's even including rapid water riding beside hotel, since you are guest many things are included without extra charge, but don't forget to bring your room card with you all the time.

Not what it used to bePosted Feb 11, 2014
For the prices charged, no turn down service in room, food way overpriced. Great location, looks beautiful, mattress was in need of replacement. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Beach and pools are great.

OverpricedPosted Feb 11, 2014
Pros: Perfect if you'd like to live in a water theme park for a few days!
Cons: Better wine-by-the-glass selections.
We knew it was going to be pricey, but I expected more for the cost. The hotel and grounds are beautiful and clean. Two major upsets, though, which make me disinclined to return. 1) Obviously booked through Expedia rather than directly through the hotel and found out most of the way through booking that there is an additional "mandatory gratuity" to the tune of $500 for the 2 nights we were there for 1 room. This should have been upfront in Expedia's cost estimation. We also believed that the room held up to 5 people based on the drop-down menu selection of guest # during booking, (originally had 3, added a 4th and then 5th at last minute: bachelorette trip), but when we checked in with 5 we found that they only allowed 4 per room (only 5 if the 5th was an infant). Fine, but hotel staff were more inflexible with helping us resolve the misunderstanding than I have ever experienced while traveling the world. This was a Very Costly misunderstanding, so I suggest future groups be prudent. 2) Given the extent of the Atlantis resorts and their preference that their guests not leave the complex, it is somewhat upsetting when the food options available (esp for breakfast, lunch) are simply variations on American fast food. We tried to dine at their "Caribbean" restaurant one night but most of the items were still burgers and chicken dishes. Trusting that their customers can handle something slightly more diverse would be nice.

Good stayPosted Feb 10, 2014
Cons: Wish there are water fountains on the premise and gym should be free of charge for guests.
Enjoyed our stay. This is our second time staying at the Atlantis. First time was at Coral Tower, now Royal. Room was very spacious and generally clean. The beds were comfortable.
