Beautiful hotel... The only thing is, make sure to check if you're booking through Expedia... They sold me a ticket to Nassau, but the hotel was in Freeport... At the last minute, I booked this hotel... Lovely breakfasts, on-site restaurant, polite staff, clean rooms... I'm very happy, will come again in August!"

Great location, lovely staff, special shoutout to Taj who was just lovely! My husband and I stayed in a basic double room, the bedroom area was comfortable and clean, the bathroom was OK but did need some updating. Absolutely stunning beach and super quiet, we felt very relaxed and rested! Would recommend Bon Vivant fur cocktails and Mi & B for brunch, both walking distance.

The pool is amazing! The kids loved the slides, and the bar there has lovely bartenders who are very hospitable. There is a cool ocean view on all sides and a shuffleboard court that leads to the ocean and lots of conch shells adorn the deck to view the glorious ocean, sunrise, and sunsets! It had a very relaxed atmosphere. The variety of beaches and pools is wonderful. The Conch Shack, Starfish and Blue Sail restaurants were perfect for their locations and offerings. There were enough shops and restaurants nearby for anything we needed. I would have liked a full-length mirror in the room. In booking, it isn't clear which rooms have balconies. We had hoped for a balcony with room for two chairs, but it was only a Juliet balcony for standing.

This place had a standard of a 2.5-3 stars hotel or a motel, calling it a resort is very misleading and wrong. The main entrance is not marked at all, and the first thing we hear after a 6 hour flight that we can buy there bottles of drinkable water $2.25/ gallon. The place is outdated, the hotel beach not very attractive, bedding sheets and mattress of a very low quality. Save yourself the headache and disappointment and pay a little more for a REAL resort hotel.

We stayed in the house boats, which I recommend doing. However, the houseboats face the water and the windows are completely see-through. We had no privacy with sailors and people constantly passing by. A little awkward to have to hide in your own "hotel room" to get dressed. Aside from lack of privacy, the resort is beautiful. The staff are wonderful and very accommodating, with the exception of the water taxi driver. He ["Chacho"] comes and goes on his own schedule and unless you tell him you need to be somewhere at a certain time and get verbal confirmation, I wouldn't rely on the water taxi schedule provided by the resort. Unfortunately, his taxi is one of the few ways to get off the island, so bear that in mind. We noticed that communicating with the staff made our stay very easy, they were very accommodating when they knew our itinerary. Beautiful resort and a beautiful island we will definitely return to. Our vacation approach will be different when we return now that we know to give ourselves ample time for transportation.

My son and I just spent five days at Sandport Beach resort while it’s on a quiet side of the island of Nassau. It’s still within walking distance to many restaurants cafés and offers several pools to private beaches as well as within walking distance to the public beach. My only negative portion is that there was a lot of trash around the property as well as by the pool. The trashcan was overflowing most days. The ice machine did not work at all, and the excursion to Clifton Heritage national Park was nice, but we were not told that you were to bring swimming clothes, because half of it included snorkeling, and the beach And that was a huge disappointment as it cost $198 for two people. My son ended up going in the ocean in his clothes but that was really a huge miscommunication. We were only told to wear sneakers because it was a walking tour. We were never told anything about ocean time or snorkeling . Other than that it’s a nice resort just needs to have trash picked up around the resort and empty trash cans at pool areas. We ate breakfast once at the Starfish Restaurant it was extremely overpriced for the little amount of food given and slow service.

It saddens me not to be able to leave a more favorable review given the staff was friendly and very helpful. However, our suite was in disrepair and dirty. When we arrived, there was dirty dishes and left over food from the last guests in the refrigerator. The resort gave us a $50 credit. Had this been the only issue no problem, but the bathroom and kitchen fixtures were corroded and broken. There was a huge crack in the floor of the shower, which led to water damage and a spongy floor. A broken cabinet in the kitchen and water damage underneath the kitchen sink. To top it off, we found a cockroach in the kitchen halfway through the week. The entire unit is in need of renovation. That said, we loved the location and the access to the quiet beach on the lagoon. Had the suite been in better shape we would absolutely return.

Sandyport Beach Resort was lovely and perfect for a low key vacation. It seems more geared to families, but if you’re looking for a nice place to stay with a beach view and pool, you should definitely come here. There are some great restaurants nearby, we loved Mi & B’s, Spritz, and Bob Vivants. The room we booked had two queen beds and a bathroom, which was fine for our girls trip. The other properties looked really nice too.

Could use more sun chairs on beach and around pool but overall lots to do on resort. No need to leave the property as there is lots to do. Love how these rooms were villa style and was very quiet and relaxing since not tons of hotel rooms on property. We would come back again and bring our kids back next time!

Wonderful people,everyone try to accommodate you. Access to beach wasn’t great- on the hotel side it wasn’t clean we went to other sites se of the bridge but there you have to buy chairs from the restaurant (not related to resort!) There were 2 restaurants near the resort both not related to the resort.

The experience was horrendous. I got a package deal from Expedia--flight and hotel. The hotel was Sandyport Resort. Before the trip, I called the Sandyport Resort office to check on a shuttle from the airport and was told that since I booked a deal through Expedia, I was not entitled to a shuttle and that I would need to book a taxi from the airport. At that point, I realized that we were second-class guests. When we got to the resort, we were shown to a room that looked like it need a lot of refurbishments. It had a kitchenette, but we soon found out that the coffeepot was broken and that the gas stove burners would not light. They replaced the coffeepot with another worn-out looking pot, but at least it worked. The gas was flowing but the burners would not light. Maintenance came with matches, so we could light the burners. The grout around the toilet was half gone and the toilet wiggled when you sat down and when you got up. Toilet holder had nothing to hold the toilet paper with, so the paper sat on the toilet lid. The worst thing about the room is that it had no soundproofing between our room and the connecting room next door. The couple had a 5-month-old baby and a 3-year-old child in addition to two grandparents. The first night the baby and 3-year-old cried most of the night. Even ear plugs didn't help. The remainder of the nights weren't much better. My advice would be to never get a package deal through Expedia and to never go to Sandyport on a deal.

The staff at Sandyport made our vacation truly special! Everyone was so friendly and accommodating, it felt like we were staying with family/friends! The resort was apparently fully booked but we felt like we had the place to ourselves. It was exactly the quiet, relaxing vibe we were going for and it was a huge benefit that we could walk to restaurants in the Sandyport area.

Staff is friendly and the place is very clean. It is however outdated and there are no nice restaurants unfortunately. Their website and Expedia show nice options for food, but the restaurants are outdated and the food below average. The location however is great with access to a great beach!
