Great cabin
This cabin is excellent. Prime location for wildlife and possible bigfoot sightings. Wood burning stove in early November was great! Just book it 😀

Perfect place for dog and me
I had a work meeting in Walker on Saturday. My dog, Hank and I came up for the weekend. We could not have asked for better weather. We spent our free time sitting by the lake with Hank playing fetch off the dock. We will definitely be back some day.

Perfect distance from the Twin Cities. So much to do in nearby towns. Cabin was very cozy with an amazing view of the lake. Perfect for our Fall getaway.

Great cabin!
Cabin was clean inside, had everything you need, shower was smaller than expected however didn't matter we had a wonderful time. Location was perfect close to town but not to close so you have your quiet and privacy. Beautiful views from the deck, that's where we spent most of our time was on the deck! Great cabin for us 2 adults and our fur baby had plenty of room. So awesome to find a pet friendly place that was so clean! They even had water toys, board games, and movies for you! Bed was soooo comfortable was very easy to want to sleep in! Hiked Waboose trail that was nearby was amazingly pretty, Park Rapids was close to get groceries and little shops. Only thing would have been nice to have a couple more lamps in main area got a little dark haha otherwise this is an amazing cabin would definitely recommend this to others! Thank you guys so much and thanks for the chocolates they were delicious!

Beautiful place to relax and recharge.
What a cozy cabin on a lake! We enjoyed lounging and watching the trumpeter swans and geese who gathered at the back of the cabin on the lake. Sun sets were beautiful, the stars were insane, the space was just enough cabin touches to be cozy and inviting. Fully stocked kitchen and ample space for larger groups. Bonus is the pet friendly aspect, many fur parents love traveling with there pups. Both Mike and Steph were really great communicators we would definitely come back!

We wanted a quiet getaway for our Valentine weekend. This cabin was charming and relaxing. Everything was great and the host was easy to communicate with before we arrived. We would definitely return here for another stay.

Honest review
Wanted to take a week after Christmas to get away before the new year and hopefully do a little ice fishing. Overall the property is a Northwoods cabin not a 5 star resort, this was expected and we were perfectly fine with this. There are some things the cabin could improve upon that would not be a big burden to the owners, interior doors that don’t have 3 inches of space underneath, a deck that is safe for kids (the railing is not child appropriate), the bathroom could use revamping( shower and rusty sink). The water contains a ton of iron so if you can’t stomach the taste, bring your own and it’s very hard water so bring lotion! But those suggestions would make this property perfect. So don’t let those few negatives convince you from not booking. We would stay here again in heart beat.

Cozy Cabin Getaway
This cozy cabin was a great getaway for our family plus pup. We wanted a cabin that was within a reasonable driving distance to Itasca State Park and this fit the bill! Property owners were easy to contact and cabin was clean, well stocked with board games/movies/anything you may need in the kitchen. Beautiful lake view as well! We enjoyed our stay here and would come again!

We spent Labor Day 2021 here with our adult son. I would say 3 adults is max. Nicely redecorated with great kitchen and the lake is beautiful. Plenty to do in the area.

This is a great property! Well maintained, inside and out, peaceful lake, quiet neighborhood. Easy to find. We had a very relaxing weekend in this cute cozy cabin and would definitely rent it again.

Perfect place to relax and unwind
We stayed at this property in June, 2021 and absolutely loved it. It’s simple yet comfortable, quiet, laid back, cozy, and the lake is gorgeous. I ended up staying by myself for a couple of days and working out of the living room… the WiFi is great and extends to the back porch if you need a bit of a view with your work day. We had so many wonderful memories while staying at this place… I highly recommend it!

The cabin was perfect. It had everything we needed and more well stocked. It was just like it was advertised. Very quiet area which was perfect. View of the lake was outstanding the water is so clean. We were surprised with a thank you and cookies upon arrival. Wonderful place to spend time.

Lovely Cabin
We enjoyed our stay even though weather was mediocre. Last full day was nice enough for a bike ride from Nevis to Park Raoids. On Monday we managed a 2 hour hike on the bike trail in Paul Bunyan State Forest, 4 miles outside of Akeley. We had light rain the first 15 minutes but a bit of blue sky as well. The cabin is nice, as pictured & well stocked. We had 1 channel on TV which was more than expected. We hope to come back! I’ve frequented this area for near 40 years & the memories are priceless. Restaurant recommendations, got to Companero’s last evening of season, 1st time at Necce’s. HIGHLY recommend! We also enjoy Good Life in Park Rapids.

A Quiet Cabin in the Woods
We had a splendid week at the cabin! The cabin was clean and well maintained. The kitchen is VERY well stocked with just about everything you need to cook and bake. There is no internet and one fuzzy TV channel, thought we would miss connectivity, but we didn’t, not one bit. The back deck has a large patio table and chairs which came in handy for family gatherings. The lake shore and fire pit were also wonderful, and some wood was even provided to get us started! We especially appreciated the pet friendly accommodations. Our pups loved their time outside and by the shore. I caution pet owners to survey shoreline for any sharp objects in or near water. We will definitely be back, just not soon enough!

Things to improve on: (1) The kitchen can do with a deep clean - there is a strong mold smell in the cupboards below the sink. (2) The kitchen sink needed a deep clean, I cleaned it with bartender's friend on arrival. (3) The shower curtain was not clean. (4) The grill still had some old meat on it. Could do with a clean between guests arriving and leaving. (5) The freezer was not clean on arrival. Positive points: (1) On arrival, there was a note and a small gift. (2) The location is exceptional. (3) Well stocked with items in case you forgot something. (4) The cabin is in very good condition.

We enjoyed our stay at this cute cabin. We had some weather issues which caused power issues, but owner dealt with them promptly We did not see any kayaks to use but that could be because previous owners provided these. It us my understanding that the current ownership took over just a couple of months ago. We did avail ourselves of the paddleboat. Kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pots, pans, utensils, etc. We enjoyed our stay. I will definitely consider renting again. There is no WiFi and it took my nephew a couple of days to get used to that. No real TV available but several movies on DVD to watch. My niece made good use of the games available as it took her down memory lane from when she was a child.

Quiet lake, close to Park Rapids.
Nicely updated cabin with lots of charm. Great lake views from the back deck. Private and peaceful setting. Plenty of linens and kitchen supplies. Cell phone reception is limited and unfortunately no WiFi yet.

This property is exactly as pictured. If you’re looking for a quaint and cozy cabin on a great fishing lake, this is your spot. I’m not sure I’ve ever been on such a peaceful lake. Often times, I think we had the entire lake to ourselves. The wildlife was amazing. We brought our two kids and our dog. They, too, loved every moment of the trip. The cabin was well stacked with everything you need in terms of household items. Plus, the owners left us a lovely welcome gift of marshmallows, chocolate and graham crackers. It made the kids smile immediately upon entering. If we could have changed one thing, it would have been having an A/C unit of some sort. It was very hot outside one of the days and the cabin didn’t cool off very much at nightfall. There are ceiling fans throughout the cabin, but it still was too warm to sleep well. Overall, we HIGHLY recommend this property.

Just what we needed!
From the moment we walked in, we loved it! Perfect for our family of 3 plus 2 pups. Only disappointment was fireplace not working. Beds comfortable, kitchen had everything you would possibly need. Very clean and charming . We will be back again next time in the summer so we can enjoy the water. Thanks!

Very clean cabin. Was bummed the fireplace was out of order without any notice. There was some Dog poo around the cabin, likely due to some melting. Steps leading up to deck and down to lake were snow/ice covered and very slippery. Would have preferred having some type of curtains on the windows. Overall very nice.

Stayed for a long valentines weekend at this nice little cabin. It was very cozy and decorated well. Really enjoyed the snacks and wine left for us by the owner. Only downside was that the fireplace pictured in the listing was not functional, which was a surprise to us when we checked in.

Loved everything about this. Very cozy, comfortable and quiet which is what we were after. Had everything we needed for relaxing for a couple of days. Kitchen had everything we needed. Would have loved to stay longer but had to get back to work. The little welcome note and snacks were waiting for us upon arrival with was a nice surprise. Great hosts, quick to answer with any questions. Great location.... You will not be disappointed.

Charming, peaceful, cozy “up north” MN getaway
My husband, pup and I stayed at this gorgeous, quaint, perfect little cabin for a winter getaway. It exceeded our expectations and we fell in love with this adorable abode. The owners provided a super clean, accommodating, cozy weekend home. It was so peaceful and offered us opportunity to slow down and recharge. We’ve spent several days at Itasca State Park during the summer months, so thought we’d visit it during our stay to see how it looks in the winter. It was a stunning winter wonderland and we had the hiking and snowshoe trails to ourselves- what a fun way to explore Itasca! When we weren’t out exploring in the snow- we read novels, watched movies, and relaxed in front of the wood burning stove soaking in the pretty winter scenery. Stopping at Hugo’s Market in Park Rapids was on our way and allowed us to pick up items so we could cook our meals in the fully equipped kitchen. The beds were comfortable and we appreciated the extra blankets for snuggling up on the sofa and chairs. We will be back again! Thank you to the owners for sharing their perfect little lake cabin with others.
