Perfect house for multiple families
Loved the location, the property was perfect for us. The outdoor patio was our favorite space in the evenings with the fire pits and the patio lights. Made for great conversations and laughs!

60/40 Celebration
We gathered 14 girl family members to celebrate a sister turning 60 and a daughter turning 40. The Gruene River Haven was the perfect place for this celebration. I can’t say enough about Lynnae and Jeff. They responded immediately to any of my questions prior to our arrival. Their communications were outstanding. I am so thankful that they met us at the house to show us around and aquaint us with the property. The house has ample gathering spots for conversations and fellowship. The kitchen was fully outfitted with dishes enough for all. Linens from beds to towels were lovely. We had a wonderful time and will be talking about it for months to come. Thank you !

Nice Owners
Family stayed for wedding which was in Gruene. Look at pictures carefully! House is really not suited for elderly people due to steep stairs, uneven floors, and most bathrooms had shower/tub combo which is hard to get into. Good views from many rooms, well stocked kitchen, 2 refrigerators (but one in kitchen had many cracked shelves), and outdoor space was very nice!

Wonderful Family Christmas
Our extended family of 15 adults celebrated an early Christmas and were floored at the beautiful view and outdoor space at this property. Although the kitchen is very small, we took turns cooking and there was tons of space to eat, play games, watch TV, and just enjoy spending time together. The view of the river is amazing! Were visited by deer each morning and evening as we hung out on the patio and deck. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms that allowed us to spread out. Very short commute to downtown Gruene for shopping.

Great location on the river, close to Gruene
We had a group of 15 people for the Wurstfest nearby in New Braunfels. The house had enough bedrooms to accommodate all the couples privately. Kitchen was well stocked, but a little tight. There were also several living areas which allowed us to break into groups. The outside was great, with plenty of covered area which was appreciated due to the rain. The gas heaters were also appreciated. Parking was OK, we got 7 full sized vehicles. Lots of deer roaming the neighborhood, so be careful driving.

Perfect Spot for a Bachelorette!
This was the perfect spot to celebrate a bachelorette party in New Braunfels! We had a group of 18 girls that was able to sleep comfortably on this property. It’s so difficult to find a place where adults can have their own space (not in a bunk room that sleeps 10+ people), and this house delivers! Everyone felt like they got their money’s worth with this stay. The outside area was beautiful and perfect for an outdoor dinner (we did hibachi at the house). We were also so happy there were enough tubes for us to cool off in the river in this Texas heat! We’ll definitely be staying here for our next girls’ trip in New Braunfels!!

Annual family vacation
Our family enjoyed our stay at Gruene River Haven. We had 14, various ages and interests. They enjoyed the dock, the river and the hot tub. Lots of rooms, sort of quirky vintage but everything was really nice. Beautiful yard with deer visitors.

A Slice of Heaven
This property was inviting, peaceful, easy to visit with each other, shady cooling extra hot days, and acommadated a large family well. The water was mostly private and like a lake. Our family usually stay at the beach, but now they chose this place over the beach. I can not say enough good about the owners. They were wonderful!

Great place!
We rented this house for my 50th birthday celebration and it was perfect. Lots of room for everyone and you can’t beat the location. The river is deep in front on the house/dock and there were plenty of floats and kayaks for us to use. Some sweet deer came to visit and we saw a large variety of birds. The green spaces are well manicured and there is plenty of room and seating outside as well as in. We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful property!
I held a company business retreat for two days at this beautiful property. Plenty of beds for everyone to have their own bed. Nice separated areas and lots of room for collaboration with teams. The setting is gorgeous on the beautiful Guadalupe river. In the morning drinking coffee, beautiful birds, herons deer and incredible views highly recommend the property for a family outing, or like ours a company business owners were very friendly and very accommodating

Graduation 2023- AWESOME!
Perfect house for large gatherings. Ours was for Texas State 2023, family in from all over. Lynnae and Jeff were great, responded to all questions and issues within minutes. I will say that the driveway is the only negative, it is very steep and if raining becomes rather slippery. BACK DOWN need running start back up! Overall you can't go wrong renting this house. Thanks again Lynnae and Jeff- your house made my daughters graduation weekend COMPLETE!

Fantastic House Perfect For Family Gathering
Couldn't have been more pleased with this property. Family came in from all over US and Australia for my son's wedding. Absolutely perfect place for a home base and enjoy the down time with family between events.

We enjoyed our stayed. Not recommended for anybody that has trouble with knee problems. Lots of steps up and down. Other than we enjoyed the outside with Cornhole and bluetooth speaker also can’t forget about the fishing.

Great Stay!
This was a great house for our group of 9 adults. Your heart might skip a beat going down the steep driveway :-), but the weather was great so there were no issues. House has all the amenities (inside and outside) necessary for a good time. If you have less than perfect knees, be sure to stay in one of the 3 bedrooms on the main level--but the house is lovely. Lynnae and Jeff were very responsive to our texts and were the perfect hosts. We would definitely visit again!

Memorable Trip
The location and view of the river is gorgeous! We enjoyed all the outdoor activities. Guests should be aware that parking is a problem and the driveway is VERY steep! We had a blast because we are family and know each very well, but some rooms have been reconfigured to add more space so guests have to walk through one room to get to the other. It wouldn’t work well for all groups. We definitely enjoyed our family wedding weekend and are grateful for a place to gather.

Twenty of us gathered together to celebrate my husbands 60th birthday. The house was quirky but accommodating. The outdoor space is what made the stay for us. Don’t think you can find a prettier view....and so close to town

We had a wonderful annual family vacation. The river was a welcome relief to the 100+ degree heat. Kayaking and tubing worked really well for all of our family members. We even got on some fishing. This home works well for large family gatherings.

We had four families stay at this property. We enjoyed it, very relaxing. Close proximity to Gruene. The hill to come down to the property is something to get used to when you have four big vehicles like we did. Awesome spot on the Guadalupe River.

Lovely setting for our small family wedding. Idyllic setting and the deer who joined us made it magical. Beautiful backdrop for pictures. Family and friends enjoyed swimming off the dock the next day. Communication was great. Gorgeous yard and home. Thank you!

Cozy bonfire in a beautiful setting
Everything was perfect! Plenty of bedrooms, hot showers, great location, firepit was ready for roasting marshmallows, quirky layout that was intriguing, furniture easily moved to create a dance floor, decks and patios galore. Landlord welcomed us with a tour. My guests can’t wait to rent this house again.

The Haven was just that for our family gathering. We were 17 people most over 65 and we stayed for 6 days. The house is well equipped for staying and the beds were very good. The space was great for visiting inside and out. There are lots of stairs and that is evident from the listing. The river setting is lovely and outdoor areas easy to access.

We loved our stay. The house is great for a large group, and the kitchen is very well stocked to support cooking meals for large groups. The patio and yard are wonderful and very beautiful. We had our wedding on the lawn by the river and reception on the patio area. It was perfect and such a beautiful setting! The house itself is quirky but has good spots for groups to gather. Would highly recommend staying here.

This was a great getaway on the water and very close to Gruene. The owners were very nice and accommodating. The steep driveway was a surprise and I think that should have been disclosed, but we managed. The kitchen was too small for the size of the house and the amount of people it can host. The cookware also needs to be replaced. The outside space was wonderful which is where most of our time was spent.

A Perfect Stay By The River
We had a perfect wedding here. The owners are extremely polite and had everything ready for us when we arrived. The location was ideal with a nice large yard, fire pit, charcoal and propane grills, and a dock used for launching kayaks and rafts that are provided. We kept our wedding very small and the main limitation of the house is parking, but this was not an issue. The house is a fun collection of many different bedrooms, but the center piece living room with a view of the river was perfect. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, utensils, cups, and plates. The location was perfect and made for a beautiful and dreamlike wedding that my bride and I will certainly look back on with nothing but fond memories. The lights strung up around the trees and house give a beautiful accent to the house and yard. Long story short, this location is ideal for a stay on the river and will make you feel like you're in a dream. Make sure you bring bug spray and citronella candles.
