Hello Norma, Thank you for being our guest and for reaching out about your concerns. I am sorry that you had a poor experience. Per our conversation upon your departure. The amenity fee of 14.23 which you were responsible for upon check-in in not covered by 3rd party bookings. They only cover your room and taxes. When booked directly the amenity is included in your stay total. We do our best to be completely transparent with our check-in policies, including the amenity fees covers complimentary hi-speed Wi-Fi, complimentary coffee from 7am-1pm in the lobby, in room casting services and use of the fitness center located at our sister property. Thank you for your feedback, and we do hope that you'll give us another try when you return to New Orleans.

Limpio y bien ubicado
El hotel esta muy bien ubicado en el French Quarter y tiene todo lo importante a distancia para caminar. El hotel es viejo pero esta bien adecuado. Las camas comodas y el cuarto acogedor. El inconveniente fue la falta de estacionamiento, que te cobran aparte y muy caro: $42.- usd por noche.

Gracias por sus maravillosos comentarios y lamentamos que el cargo por servicio de valet estacionamiento es alto. Tenga en cuenta que el hotel tiene contratos con una compañía de aparcamiento local y simplemente pasamos el costo a nuestros huéspedes. Si bien los cargos parecen ser altos, creemos que la seguridad de un lote seguro en la ciudad y la comodidad del servicio de valet es bien vale la pena la inversión.

I loved the charm of the hotel. You knew you were in New Orleans. Not a typical chain hotel. The staff was excellent. Helpful and personable. The room was beautiful and huge. Very comfortable. Great, great location!! My only complaint was the beautiful enamel tub. Even though I read other reviews that commented on how slippery it was, and was careful stepping in, I still took a hard tumble, hitting my neck and head on the rim of the tub. I reported my fall to the gentleman at the desk, and suggested a grab bar. I'm not sure if that will help, since the bottom is so slippery. The gentleman asked if I was okay, and at the time I felt no pain. Later, I could feel the bumps and bruises, especially my neck. I just thought it was sleeping on different pillows, but now I feel the swelling and see bruising. Being a nurse, we are the last to complain and prefer to treat ourselves. Ice, heat, followed by Aleve and I will be fine. I hope they can make the tub safer before someone really hurts them self.

This hotel is in a great location a few blocks from the craziness of Bourbon. The only downside was it was a bit pricey compared to what you get in the area. And we could hear our neighbors occasionally - I Believe due to how the bathrooms are laid out

Great room. Only downside, and I mean only, was the air conditioner. The coolest we could get it was 73. With the lack of air movement the room was somewhat stuffy. Otherwise it would be five stars.

The Pelham is very close to a lot of activities in the heart of New Orleans. You can walk to the casino, the French Quarter, exceptional WWII and Civil War and other museums, parks, the Aquarium, the River Walk, shopping and dining. It is a block over from the very busy Canal Street, where a lot of people cruise, blaring extremely loud music, or revving their motorcycle engines. It goes late into the night, but not really too late. There is a very noticeable police presence to keep things as civil as possible. Our room was very large but poorly appointed. It was in the 'annex' part of the hotel, which is accessed separately from the main portion. It had all of the necessities and standard toiletries, but the only dresser in the room was a nightstand with two shallow drawers. No desk and the only seating were two low backed slipper chairs in different colors; they looked like they should have been part of sectionals. Parking on your own in this area can be difficult, especially finding something close to the hotel. There are public parking lots and garages but be prepared to pay with a phone app as there may not be any pay machines and most likely no attendant. We opted for valet parking at the hotel, which is extremely expensive, but convenient. Snack foods at the hotel are very limited and extremely expensive. Be prepared with exact change as the front desk does not give change. The staff were friendly and helpful.

We liked the high ceilings which made the room feel spacious. Area was conveniently located, yet tucked away in a safe, quiet area. Rooms, lobby, elevator and hallways had a unique flair. Prices were reasonable.

The rooms are very spacious. They have high ceilings which helped a lot with making the room feel bigger. The staff is nice but always look miserable. The lobby is TINY and there is so bar or real place to chill at while you wait for an Uber. There is ONE lobby restroom. The room was pretty clean but I definitely found trash in the bed. The water pressure in the shower sucked but for a hotel room it was all fine. The shampoo, conditioner, and soap were good brands though so that was cool. The area around the hotel was shady. There’s like an alley next to it where the crazies go at night. The restaurant next the hotel “Ruby Slipper” was trash. The hotel was very close to main tourist attractions though, that was cool. Over all 7.5/10.

Just Right!
I got in late and was only there for one night. The room was just right and uniquely appointed. It seemed a little art deco to me. The desk staff was cheerful and helpful, both late at night and the next morning. Would definitely stay again.

Impromptu stay for just a night. One queen bed and no window which was fine. Only issue was that when the fan/heater turned on, it blew straight down onto the headboard area. Other than that, we had everything we needed. Would definitely stay there again.

We enjoyed our stay. Great location and very walkable to stores and restaurants. Hotel staff was very helpful and the room was reasonably priced. The street noise was really loud in our room and we would request a room away from the street if possible if we were to stay here again.
