Great central location

Posted Sep 17, 2014
Although not the largest room, the accommodation was fine for 4 adults. There was a total lack of any information supplied in the room. Replenishment of tea and coffee always had to be prompted and even requesting room service was unfulfilled. On the plus side, free cookies were available from reception at anytime.

Clean, modern, spacious, great staff

Posted Sep 15, 2014
From the moment we checked in, the staff was attentive and helpful. The room was clean, modern, and spacious. Suite was nice to minimize noise in living room from bedroom and vice versa, by closing the door between. Room for four, with large sofa bed in addition to King bed. Being on Times Square comes with some traffic, lights, and noise, of course (along with excellent central location). However, the hotel has many floors, and rooms have heavy curtains which can mitigate. Overall, if you want to be in the center of everything, it's hard to imagine a better place.

hotel space, very hectic area for older visitors

Posted Sep 14, 2014
Pros: Good view of billboards & close to shows & attractions.
Cons: Wash windows for what we paid.
Disappointed in space of room especially for 3 adult women, too many sellers of bus tours& comedy shows. Awful odors from street drains. Too many people! Would stay a block away second time. Windows needed washed to enjoy the view!

Excellent hotel in Times Square

Posted Sep 12, 2014
Pros: Best for me was the ideal positioning of the hotel, with the doors leading right into Times Square. Staff attentive, food delicious and rooms spacious
Cons: Care must be taken when using elevators between ground floor and main reception, as doors close VERY quickly. A laundry room would be handy for guests
Location: Times Square is right at the door, with the TKTS booth across the street. Tons of shops and dining/bar options, and Rockefeller Plaza a 5 minute walk.
From check in to check out, almost everything about this hotel was perfect. Cookies on check in, coffee machine in room, and excellent bar/dining in-house. Rooms were spacious with a living room, bedroom and bathroom...cleanliness not an issue, well maintained and air conditioned. The sink in the bathroom did let the water out despite using the plug, but if something that simple ruins a holiday you'd maybe be better off staying at home! The only issue I have with the hotel is the elevators between ground floor and main reception on 3...the doors don't stay open for long and close quite quickly. This can be problematic for those with disabilities or buggies, but the doormen were a big help with these and the main hotel doors. We quickly got used to putting an arm through to trigger the sensors and hold the doors open for longer. Our room looked out onto Times Square, and more specifically onto the TKTS booth just across the street, and the steps leading up the back of the booth where everyone gathers just to watch the square's daily and nightly grind. Superb spot. Many dining/bar options in Times Square and nearby...I recommend Rosie O'Grady's (the best steak I ever ate), TSQ brasserie for breakfasts, and O'Lunney's Irish Bar for good food and wonderful service (ask for Kaitlin). Port Authority Bus Terminal is a 15 minute walk away, and handy for transport to MetLife Stadium (NFL is a superb experience) and Woodbury Common. Subway for baseball close by too. I will be back!
