“Perfect Times Square area luxury hotel!”
Absolutely beautiful hotel in an excellent location near Times Square. The Mansfield is an old 13 story building that has been refurbished and extremely well decorated. Rooms, hallways and elevators are small but full of personality. I would much rather stay in a small, clean and beautiful room than a ugly larger one. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Free wifi worked great for us. We were upgraded for free to the Penthouse, which was an extra treat! Comfortable bed, dark wood floors, and an exquisitely decorated bathroom. Highly recommended if you can afford it!
“Good Location”
Located on 44 St w. between 5th and 6th Avenues. Comfortable rooms, good cold breakfast, helpful staff.
“Great Location, well appointed room, helpful desk staff”
We had a great stay. The location is 1/2 a block off of 5th Avenue, so if you are a shopper, you will be in heaven. The desk staff was really helpful with maps and suggestions for restaurants, nail salons, and subway routes. The room was very nice and decently large for a midtown hotel. The business center is accessible and the bar is quite nice. We did not know there is a free continental breakfast and free cappacinos 24/7; these were quite nice. The only negatives were relative minor- the room lighting is somewhat dim, the closet is small and not full length, the housekeeping staff did not replace all of our towels the second day so we had to request more and tip. But I would definitely stay at the Manfield again.
“Pleasant Stay”
Pleasant stay, firndly staff, very accomodating as I showed up prior to check in and they held my bags so I could wander the streets of Manhattan and Central Park.
“cozy and comfortable”
I was expecting a late check in, but then my flight was cancelled and it caused me to show up to the hotel early in the day, at 11 a.m. I was tired from traveling all night with very little sleep and needed to change my clothes and go straight to a convention. The hotel was more than kind and said they would put me in a slightly smaller room. Yes, the rooms are small, but the space is used wisely and I felt all tucked in and comfy. Bed was so comfortable, I slept soundly. Lots of pillows with some soft, some firmer. The room was quiet so I did not hear other guests. I also enjoyed the coffee, it was excellent! The staff is lovely and looking for ways to make a guest's stay better. I will return here at my next opportunity. I only wished I could have spent a little more time in my room, I really loved it!
“Mansfield”
The hotel itself is a cozy petite nook nestled between 5th and 6th Avenues making it amazingly accessible. The staff alone was fantastic. They were excellent for restaurant and bar recommendations and extremely courteous. I felt completely comfortable and safe at this hotel. You can't beat the location. Whether you are looking for historical monuments, tours, shopping, or nightlife you are only a few blocks away. I would refer anyone here for a taste of New York.
“My favorite hotel in NY”
I've stayed here twice, and both times it was a wonderful experience. The staff is very helpful and friendly. I love the style of the hotel. Very modern but classic. The rooms are small, but that should be expected in NY. The buffet breakfast is included. There is 24 hour cappucino/latte/espresso machine in the "library". And you couldn't ask for a better location. It is right near Times Square, but is in on a quiet street, so you could also completely avoid Times Square if you wanted.
“Convenient and close”
The Mansfield Hotel is close to Grand Central and to the theatre district. The staff was very cordial and atentive. The excellent breakfast was an added bonus that we did not expect! The rooms we had was very large, but with no view. The only other complaint was that the AC was quite loud. I'd go back tomorrow!
“Great NYC Boutique Hotel”
This hotel was even better than we expected! What a great time we had. The cappuccino room is an experience not to be missed! And definitely grab the continental breakfast, open from 7-10. The best part about the hotel is it's location, which made it easy to walk everywhere from Rockefellar Center to Broadway and many other locations. Enjoy!
“Very good personal hotel”
The hotel has a great location for Midtown NYC, quiet street but 1 minute's walk from 5th Ave. & 5 mins walk from Broadway & theatres. Our Standard room was small but okay - plasma TV on wall, small hanging closet with safe, minibar, etc. Bathroom was v. small (only as long as the bath & wide enough to fit toilet). The wash basin was just next to it & had very little room to put anything. Room was newly refurbished & they could have made better use of the space. However it was very clean & housekeeping staff very pleasant. There is wireless internet available in the rooms, but it our room it was a poor signal & intermittent. The complimentary continental breakfast was excellent! All staff were friendly & helpful. We found this hotel a little gem in central NYC, & would certainly stay there again!
