Poor housekeeping but good communication with owners
Property had a lot of cobwebs and toilet seats were loose, broken shade in front room, upstairs drain was clogged but my sister used a screwdriver to pull the plug, the housekeeping was very poor. Communication with owner was quick and helpful, they did offer to call a plumber but it was easily taken care of. We have one of your pillow cases by mistake, would you like us to mail it to you? Thank you for the extra fans in the bedrooms.

The owner cancelled on our way into the property due to AC unit failure. We had to find a hotel last minute. We understand this is not anyone's fault, necessarily, but it was jarring to be notified that we had no place to stay a couple hours before our arrival.

This is such a great property! We had a hard time leaving it. Victorian charm with modern comforts. Would love to stay here again

Amazing Historic House
The description and photo’s didn’t do this property justice. Walking in felt like walking into an historic mansion. The downstairs rooms were large and comfortable. The main bedroom was large and the bed was comfortable though quite high off the floor. The other rooms were smaller but I heard no complaints from the kids (ages 15 to 20). I was concerned about it being near the tracks but I could not hear the trains unless I stepped outside. Even then they were not loud. It was an easy walk to the historic downtown Canteen District with all it’s shops, restaurants, and historic buildings. Be aware that there is no closet space for hanging formal clothing (we were there for a funeral). We loved the butler’s pantry with its coffee bar and the very pleasant yard. We are very likely to stay here again.

Stopover on way to Colorado
We loved our stay. There was so much room for our family to relax in the middle of our road trip. We had a great time at Cody Park, a wonderful dinner at Good Life on the Bricks, and dessert at Double Dips. Highly recommend staying here.
