"It’s a great overnight stop. The staff is friendly, the rooms are clean and well appointed. The facility is getting a little worn but still very good. Breakfast is always good here, plenty of choices and the woman preparing was very nice. She opened early which in our case, was good. Thank you!"

"Very nicely located house in quiet historic neighborhood. Only a block or two from many restaurants, stores, and lake front. House was nicely stocked with almost everything you can think of. Host was responsive and friendly. Would recommend to anyone staying in Clear Lake."

I liked that the hotel was close to the freeway but off the beaten path so you weren't right downtown & it was quiet.

We will NOT be back. For the amount of money we spent on a room, and to have staff bark at you is totally unacceptavle.

Northwood is a great little town about 7 miles east of the hotel. The hotel is not in Northwood. It is adjacent to the Diamond Jo casino on I-35. If you have time, drive into town! there are retaurants, a micro brewery, parks and museums!
