Posted Jul 28, 2014
Pros: Central location, pleasant staff, clean and quiet.
Cons: Paid extra for breakfast would gave been nice if it would have been included
Location: Great location, central for shops, cinema, market and all amenities.
Easy to find excellent parking lively clean room, as it was a hot day/evening the staff had put a fan in the room which was very useful and thoughtful.

Overnight Stay with Relatives at Hotel

Posted Jun 8, 2014
Pros: I like that it is central and a bit quirky
Cons: Nothing comes to mind
Location: Worksop is the centre of The Dukeries. Very historic and Sherwood Forest. Also enjoys a good climate.
Visting on a rather sad occasion, a funeral. Staff were very pleasant and kind. The hotel went out of its way to provide a meal for us after the funeral.

Work Visit

Posted Oct 3, 2013
Pros: Centrally located, friendly staff
Cons: Had job to distinguish between tea and coffee at breakfast time, both much too weak.
Location: On business so no chance to explore
This stay was booked as I had a work appointment in Worksop and hotel is centrally based. Decent standard Best Western brand hotel. Staff all very friendly and attentive. Took dinner in hotel which was of a good general standard.

Overnight stay for a wedding elsewhere

Posted Apr 9, 2013
Didn't actually stay. Booked a luxury room, nice size room and bathroom was fine. Hall ways littered with laundry bags, store/laundry room doors left open (gone 2pm). Carpets in need of hoovering. Lift dirty. Bedroom carpet full of stains, walls all marked. Sheets not white, grubby looking. Furniture very dated and cup stains on them. They did show us to another room which was an improvement but by this time I had no wish to stay there. Only good thing was they didn't charge us for the room. Worse Best Western we have visited. Eventually got a room at the Charnwood Hotel (Best Western), very nice, clean with white crisp sheets!

Cold hotel

Posted Jan 17, 2013
Cons: Cold room, Car park to small!
Location: Center of town.
Mid January stay, Snowing outside and -5 deg over night. Room was freezing! No heating on in room until 8pm, then was switched off around midnight. woke up in middle of the night uncomfortably cold. Breakfast was over cooked at a charge of £10 Next day I finished work early, got back to room at 2pm, no heating on, room very cold. Heating came on around 6pm again off at around midnight. When I checked out I decided to give breakfast a miss and jump in the car to get some warmth, -6 outside,no heating in room. If you visit in the spring or summer, would be a great hotel.

Location: Fine - nearer city centre but parking problematic
Room and service ok. However meals were at best average. Very disappointing

Good hotel to stay

Posted Nov 28, 2012
Location: Central, but more guidance as to where the car park is would be great, as its on a one way street
Room size was bigger than expected for both the bedroom, the bed itself and the bathroom. The food was good and presented quickly and nicely. The service was pleasant and helpful. The only downside was that unfortunately my room must have been near a generator, as all I could hear during the night was the constant buzzing of it

Good hotel and location

Posted Aug 26, 2012
Hotel was clean and the reception staff was very freindly and helpful. We had arrived early due to a wedding and we were allowed into the room early to get ourselfes ready. The breakfast next morning was good with plenty of choice. Would use this hotel again.
