The house is in a great location. It is close enough to walk to the pier but far enough away that it is (mostly) quiet at night. If you will just be using the house for sleep, you can make it comfortable with a little prep.
The sheets are 100% polyester and slid off the bed constantly. Bringing your own sheets and blanket (our blanket was also 100% polyester) would make the beds much more comfortable.
There are no curtains. There are only vinyl blinds that have partial light blocking ability. It is very bright in every room very early. If you bring some dark sheets or something to put over the windows, you may be able to sleep past 7am.
The AC unit is in the living room, so the bedroom doors must stay open unless you want to bake.
There is no dining area as listed in the description.
The outside is muddy & cluttered. The inside looked very clean. We did smell cat urine. It wasn't very strong but it isn't a pleasant smell. I contacted the owner. She said there had been cats in the house, but not for weeks. She said no other occupant had mentioned it. She said that she would send her cleaning person the next day "to take care of the smell". That person asked us what we wanted her to do do and left us two bottles of cleaning solution that evening. She suggested that perhaps the high humidity caused the odor. We could never pinpoint the exact location. If it's true that other guests have not noticed the smell, perhaps we are just overly sensitive.
