Oasis in Kansas
It was a perfect place. Cheap, clean, comfortable. Got the best nights sleep in a long time, according to my sleep app. It was quiet. If you are not high maintenance, it is perfect, understanding it is not a high roller club. For the cost, it was a 5-star!

Very disappointed.
Very run down and not well kept. Carpet was filthy. Mattress needs to go along with recliner in the room. Very disappointed! Will not consider staying again.

Rude front desk and no AC
We get to the room and it’s 90 degrees in the room. Turn on the ac and 2 hours later it’s still 90 degrees. Call the front desk and the guy said he would call someone. An hour later we go to the front desk and he said he let the person know but doesn’t know when he’ll come. Asked for a new room since we have a small child and he said no. Will not be returning to this hotel

My expectations were low due to the overall price. Smoke detector missing. Many lights switches were not functional. Microwave not functional. Drain plug for shower/tub missing. A/C worked bed was ok so worked for a crash pad while doing the dirty kanza event in emporia so the basics were covered.

Knights Inn-Ottawa
The hot water in the shower worked one time. There were leftovers from the previous room renters. A cough drop, a strainer, some seasoning and a few other cooking supplies. The bed and chair were super comfy. The A/C-heater unit worked well. My room was not ready at check-in, had to wait almost another hour before it was ready. Luckily I had time to shower before my work event. It was a nice quiet spot for the most part.

I would stay here again if my budget required it. It needs to be more clean. The toilet and shower were both dirty in our room. They only gave us 2 towels. There was no continental breakfast, though they advertise having it. The pool wasn't open, but that's not surprising in the middle of May. The office had a very strong smell that I'm thankful want in our room. But our A/C did not smell great once we turned it on.

Guy at front desk was super friendly!
About the only thing this hotel has going for it is the guy who works the front desk/lobby area. He was extremely friendly and very knowledgeable about the area. The hotel itself is past the point of being out-dated, the walls were stained and the wallpaper was torn in places, the bed was like sleeping on the road, the bedding had stains on it, and the recliner in the room was worn out and stained. However, we didn't pay much and we booked last minute so I wasn't expecting much.

Price was great! Clean but needs updating. Both inside and out to be more appealing. Liked that I could park my motorcycle right outside my door. Front desk person was super nice but she was wearing dirty clothing so first impressions were not great but room was good. Bedding and bed nice!

The front desk staff were nice. The room was disgusting. Questionable stains from the mattress to floor. We only stayed for 4 hours before checking out and canceled our 2nd day.

Step back in time
Driving onto the property was kind of like going back in time. The hotel is definitely dated, but that's not always a bad thing. It was a wonderful spot to stay the night. The room was clean, the bed was amazing, and the staff were kind and helpful.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, property conditions & facilities, room comfort
No frills room, good value.
Just a quick overnight stay to run a race. Check in was easy. This is an older property, but the room was clean & serviceable. And it had a microwave & a refrigerator.
