"Amazing relaxing paradise :)"
After staying in the medina for two weeks, having three nights here at Dar Lamia was amazingly luxurious and relaxing. It's so peaceful with beautiful grounds and a lovely pool which we usually had to ourself! The staff were lovely and friendly, especially in the restaurant where we had breakfast. lunch and dinner everyday. The food was lovely and reasonably priced. I also made use of the spa by getting a pedicure which was very relaxing and well done :) . The room was also beautiful, with a great bathroom and even little stars in the ceiling! I would definitely return, and recommend it to anyone!

"An Oasis of Calm"
This was my first visit to Marrakech and I can't wait to return. The Hotel was magic. The only thing missing was a fridge in the room! V important feature in such heat to have cold water available at all times. Otherwise it was perfect.

"An oasis of calm in beautiful gardens."
Terra Mia was better than expected. I stayed in a suite with a private pool with 4 children. The suite was a very good size and the pool magical (they really should post pics of the private pools!), especially swimming at night in moon light :) The Riad is about half an hours drive from the main town of Marrakech but the hotel provides a free shuttle bus twice daily. The hotel will also book a taxi if you want to travel outside of the shuttle bus times at a cost of 150 MAD (approx £11) - highly recommended to spend at least one later evening in the main medina in town as it feels so different to the daytime medina. The Moroccan people were very welcoming and friendly and the culture so different to experience. We have all had an amazing holiday. Terra Mia is a welcome calm base to return to after the hustle and bustle and heat of Marrakech.

"peace and quiet guaranteed"
stuck in the middle of nowhere - scrubland a dried up river bed and a shanty village, Le Mirage is actually a marvellous place to stay if you want to do nothing. the '4km' to the medina is a bit naughty - it's 4km to the outermost edge of the medina wall. It's a further 4km to the Koutobia mosque. A twice daily shuttle will take you into the town centre, but the last return is at 7.30pm, so if you want to boogie in Marrakech at night and hang out in the square when it is at it's best you will have to get the hotel taxi to collect you for 200 dh. A lot of city cabs will not take you - because they don't know it or because a lot of the journey is off road. That said, it is a wonderful hotel, only 27 rooms, delightful staff, the food is fine, although I can't speak for the Half board menu the a la carte was lovely. The pool is gorgeous - 20m unheated - but in 40C, it's very refreshing.

"Paradise amongst the palm trees"
Situated in an Oasis north of the medina in Marrakesh, the Jardin d'ines is a beautiful small hotel. The number of suites limits the number of guests so each engagement with the staff or the services in offer feels as though they are there just for you. The gardens are beautiful, the suites are spacious enough for our family (2 teenage) children, and they are beautifully maintained every day. The pool was at a perfect temperature and we used it everyday, sometimes until late into the evening. The restaurant was simply outstanding. Served either on the balcony or in the cool ambience of the interior, the predominantly french menu was immaculately presented, the courses were imaginative and served with attention to detail by the friendly waiting stuff. Most of all the food was gorgeous. I would strongly recommend this hotel for anyone wanting to go to somewhere exotic and luxurious.

"Wonderful staff - thank you!"
I would like to thank the staff at the Pullman for going out of their way to make our time in Marrakech the perfect getaway for my mother and I. The hotel is a little trip out of the medina, which suited us perfectly as it was a relaxing escape at the end of the day (the free shuttle is also a plus). In the end it was rather hard to leave. Special mention to Larbi for his hospitality and fun demeanour.

"Bad customer service"
I was there in July 2012. I booked, based on Expedia customer reviews, here is what I experienced from my stay: 1. Bad customer service - When I phoned reception from my room (after struggling to find the correct number, as they wrote the wrong number on the phone), the lady in reception hung the phone up on me, when I tried to call again she wouldn't answer or would put me on hold. In the end I had to walk there from my room to request for help. 2. No Wi-Fi in the rooms - I now realise it does say on expedia that 'available in some public areas', but I booked the hotel last minute and really needed access to stay in contact with family back home. Internet access is only available near the pool area, and when its dark at night with all the lights out there, it's not very welcoming. 3. Unclean room - Although the room was very tidy, the tiled floor in my room was not clean, I did not feel comfortable walking bare foot in the room. There was also a dead spider on my bed when I first arrived and the kitchen cupboards in my room were full of grease marks, making me very uncomfortable to use the kitchen area at all. The toothbrush holder in the bathroom had a dirty cotton bud inside it, so I never put my toothbrush inside it. 4. The Pool area lights go out at night - as mentioned in point 2, the communal area lights are turned off, not as the photo shown on Expedia, leaving you in darkness. Good luck and have a wonderful stay in Marrakech, it is a wonderful city!
