I feel this review should be in two parts as firstly the hotel is functional and for a night stopover it’s perfectly located for main rail connections, has cafe’s and bars close by, the staff are great and helpful, breakfast was typical of an Ibis and several options again close by if you wish.
With that being said there are a lot and I mean a lot of men alone and in groups hanging around the area 24hr a day and could be off putting to some travelling so worth noting.
The bedroom was small but expected that and with two suitcase you were climbing over them a lot, what wasn’t expected was the bed, oh my word I’ve never come across such a hard piece of foam which had a thin topper to take the edge off, couple of minutes in bed and it felt like lying on a pavement.
You get what you pay for with this and we had no reason to complain but you need to watch your expectations when booking, which is a shame as I said the staff were brilliant
