Terrible property. Horrible conditions nothing like the pictures. Very run down and old worn out furnishings that are outdated. Would not recommend at all to anyone.

The hotel was run down. Upon arrival the lights were off in the lobby, no AC, and the guest in front of us was complaining about something as did the one after us. I expected to see antiquities in Greece but I did not expect the hotel to be one of them. The Casino was boarded up ( false advertising). The hallways were dirty and dimly lit. The room was dirty and falling apart, The AC was not working properly in the middle of a historic heat wave, and only one AC unit even though it was a two room “suite”. I was ready to leave immediately but after a 16 hour trip decided to stay the night and make other arrangements in the morning… big mistake. At 5:30am the AC decided to fully give up on this hotel as well, with a violent clatter that probably woke up the whole floor. I honestly felt so uneasy and distraught. We couldn’t get out of there fast enough.

Isolated resort for families and kids.
Beach had rocks. Limited fast food for dinner.casino closed. Lots of kids. Old hotel redone. Patra more than 10 km away. Isolated area with no outside restaurants nearby. View of Rio bridge was great.

Relaxed stay with great beach
Great view from the room, nice size room, had everything I needed. Breakfast had many options and was fresh and tasty. Beach and pool were amazing.

Cheap but not nice
Definitely not a 4 star. Location is good bed comfortable and the beach infront was nice and that’s about it. Service was bad some even rude. One night there was no running water all over the property. Since there is a Casino in the premises there is still a smell of cigarette all over the place and rooms. Breakfast was very basic and COVID rules very relaxed. Wouldn’t go back

The hotel was clean and the rooms were large, we had a lovely view over the pool,sea and the bridge. A great place to stay and explore the area. Food was really good with great choices for breakfast and lots of restaurants within walking distance, we spent 10 days here and explored the area we were pleased we had hired a car, it we drove over the bridge and took the car over on the ferry. The staff were very friendly and helpful our 10 day holiday was great and I would stay again at the hotel

Overall pretty good for the price.
The hotel was clean with helpful staff. The rooms were basic, but the hotel has 2 swimming pools and is right on the beach. There is a poolside bar which is handy but expensive, it cost E3.50 for half a pint of local pils. The breakfast was fantastic! There is a Casino attached with slot machines and roulette, blackjack tables etc. Drinks are free if you're playing. It's not noisy, so don't worry about being disturbed by it.

Pleasant no fantastic.
Only stayed one night for work, hotel is more geared for holiday stays. Hotel communal areas were all very good. However the rooms are dated and could do with being refurbished. Bar prices were also high, cheaper in Athens city centre. Staff were both friendly and helpful.

Why Patra?
We spent 6 nights at Patra. Internet patchy and poor quality. Main pool nice but had the early morning late night constant hum of senseless music. Room had little or no hot water despite attempts to get it rectified. Breakfast buffet entertaining - food ok. Staff were very nice and professional.

This hotel wasn't actually my choice, I was told to stay here for a wedding and it was okay. The pool and beach are fun and the café and pool bar are nice enough but the hotel in general was a little shabby, could do with some work, the room temperatures were variable and the service was ordinary. The casino is big but limited in games, there are some very nice restaurants a short walk down the sea front but no shops or facilities I could find in the area, would be nice to hire a jet ski or boat . . .

Cigarette stench throughout
The entire Hotel smelled of cigarettes. I asked about it being a non-smoking room and was assured it was, but the room stunk of cigarettes. Other rooms we were shown all stunk. To top it off, the front desk only said they were charging us no matter what when we said we couldn't stay. The employee argued with us and didn't care in the least about the situation. Very unprofessional, worst part of the entire vacation.

Not much to de desired
Public areas are nice but the rooms,including the "renovated" ones are dismal,in spite of some rooms with spectacular views. There is a beach tavern that is only open for lunch with a limited choice of fairly nice Greek food. The buffet breakfast,served in the main dining room is beyond terrible and the service is non existent. The hotel is totally mis-rated as a four star. We could not wait to leave.

A nice hotel that could have been better...
Events during my stay: 1) I booked a bungalow but since it was very windy and rainy, they put me into the main hotel room without extra charge. Good thing. 2) I asked to leave early and while at first they said I wouldn't have to pay for the last night, they finally made me pay... I wouldn't mind if they said that from the beginning, but changing their mind, was not the best in my opinion. 3) The hotel lobby and the corridors to the rooms smell really bad from smoke. (even my room smelled smoke) Very bad thing. Overall, a nice hotel, but definitely it can be better. The breakfast was really good. The room spacious. If it wasn't the smoke smell I would have return for sure, but now I will consider my options before going back.

Recommend - very nice beachside resort - great place to relax
The hotel was great - great facilities, friendly and helpful staff, great food and right by the beach. We picked up a special on Expedia for the cottages but were upgraded when we arrived. The lifts are small and tricky - the doors are on each floor!!?? Also the beach is pebbly but it's nevertheless a great location to relax. Paul

Alles sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Mein Zimmer mit tollem Meerblick hatte einen bestimmt 20 Jahre alten völlig verkommenen Laminatboden. Die Wände übersäht mit kleinen Toten Spinnen und totgeschlagenen Mücken. Möbel und Fernseher ok, ebenso das Bad obwohl auch das Alter sichtbar ist. Mehrere Wasserschäden im Zimmer waren nur halbherzig ausgebessert. In diesem Hotel besteht erheblicher Renovierungsbedarf. Sauberkeit kann man allerdings auch so herstellen. Leider liegt das Hotel ausgezeichnet, wasmeine beruflichen Aktivitäten in Patras/Rio angeht, sodass ich auch weiterhin dort nächtigen werde.
