Twinpalms overall

Pros: Service, the pool area and the huge bed
Cons: Mosquitoes encountered in the room when the balcony door was opened, and how worn out one side of the bed was :(
Location: A little hard to get around (to Phuket town and potong beach) unless you're planning on staying around Surin beach only
Staff were extremely accommodating and well manners. Tended to our every need :)

excellent, well run hotel, almost on the beach.

Pros: Location, comfort and decor.
Cons: We had to leave at some point!
Location: 200 meters across a small road and park from Surin beach.
We stayed here for 10 nights in late May 2013. Upon arrival we were upgraded to a de-lux palm room on the first floor, great start! It was quiet, comfortable and large, with all the amenities one could possibly want. We had a good size balcony overlooking the pool area. The staff were all simply wonderful, genuinely interested in you and nothing was too much trouble, from the cleaning staff to the reception people and the beach waiters and bar tenders. Near the end of our stay the hotel was running at full capacity, but the service we received was still first class. We would definitely stay here again if we visited Phuket.

Great Value for Money.

Pros: The pool was great, big good temperature and very well maintained.
Cons: Furniture on balcony was uncomfortable and furniture in the room was sparse.
Location: Quiet location, away from the noise and bustle of patong. Suitable more for experienced travellers.
Check in to check out was excellent. Personally guided by reception staff to the room and finer details explained about happy hours and the catch club, etc.The pool was the largest hotel pool i have seen and the water quality was excellent. Clientele was a mixture of european and aussies, 30's and upwards who were not first time travellers. We chose after a few days to have dinner at the hotel either at the restaurant or room service ,it was very good and not much dearer than at the beach.

Never leave the pool. Ever.

Pros: The pool. Breakfast. Good gym. The smell of flowers and lemongrass.
Location: Surin Beach is a nice, slightly upmarket and pricier area. Remembering that you are in Thailand of course.
The perfect place to just relax and never have to leave the pool.

Fantastic Hotel

Pros: Exclusivity Lagoon pool with access from your room Amazing staff
Cons: The cost of the spa treatments are to expensive given the price of massages in Thailand
This was one of the best hotels that we have stayed in. The staff are amazing and the small attention to detail by the hotel make this hotel stand out as world class. We stayed for 5 nights in a Deluxe lagoon pool room #47. The room was perfect and the setting allowing access directly to the pool is perfect. I know a few people complained about the lagoon rooms not having privacy but we really did not have a problem as #47 is right at the back. The style of the hotel makes the pool integral with the rooms and it is what makes the hotel so awesome so the small sacrifice is that all the rooms around the pool lack seclusion but it is worth it. I would recommend the lagoon rooms as it was great to come home each night and just jump straight into the pool in front of your room or to sit with a glass of wine on your balcony with legs in the pool. The staff were amazingly friendly and courteous the entire time and always responded immediately as well to emails I sent with questions about taxi fares etc in Thailand. The staff really go the extra mile.

Twin Palms - overall satisfactory
Posted Jan 30, 2013
It was a great hotel with fantastic service overall. We had a host who picked us up from the airport, joined us on our cruise and pretty much arranged the whole stay for us. She was fantastic and probably the reason why I would return to this hotel (I'd also easily follow her to her next hotel though). The only downside is that it doesn't have direct beach access and a bar that you can access direct while swimming in the pool. Also they seriously need to revisit their buffet breakfast range as it doesn't live up to expectations of a 5 star hotel. And after staying for 11 nights in their second best rooms, we were not given a late check out and when asked to borrow a standard room for a few hours to put our son to sleep they were going to charge us 5000Baht. I wasn't at all impressed with that! But the location was fantastic and plenty of good restaurants and beaches around.

Cold private pool

Was a very nice hotel however we opted for a private pool which was very cold so we did not use it much at all. Also villa host could have checked in on us more
