I can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed staying here. The staff is super sweet and helpful and the grounds are well maintained and plenty of shade and places to relax when you need time out of the sun. We had everything we needed and the wave out front was never crowded, we never felt the need to travel elsewhere for surfing…love it! The area is very quiet and safe. If you want hustle and bustle it’s about a mile walk up the beach to the river, where you can take boat across and walk into Tamarindo, but only during the day - the boat doesn’t run after about 4pm so be mindful of the time! Thank you for a great experience!

Nice hotel but the roads were horrible to get there. We actually crossed 2 streams and very rocky conditions. The staff, especially the girls were so friendly and ready to help. There was no drawers to put our clothes. We lived out of the suitcases. We really liked the private assess to the beach which was like 500 feet away. Lost power a few times but came back on in 10 minutes. The restaurant adjacent to the hotel is excellent and very affordable. The food is delicious.

The hotel is so quaint and you feel like you are in a mini private villa. The staff is amazing, friendly and very accommodating. The beach is 2 minutes away, accessible by a private path, so lovely. You can choose to do so many amazing activities, from Surf, Yoga, poolside chilling all the way to many different exciting excursions! An amazing little piece of paradise! We will be back and thank you to El Manglar.

The property was very stylish and well laid out. The beach access was also very nice with keyless entry with a code. We did have an issue with very loud guests at the pool one day, but they settled them down. The hot water had to be fixed (brrrrr), but the staff was very helpful with meeting our needs. I enjoyed the time there although we couldn't get the tv to work for the whole trip. We really enjoyed the refreshing pool and pool-side lounging areas. The restaurants around the hotel were very good and walkable.

Good choice for a short stay
The staff at reception are warm and friendly. The room was a reasonable size but could have done with a little tlc. There wasn't really anywhere to hang or store clothes and the little ants ocassionally made their way onto the bed. The pool and grounds were pretty and it was a stone's throw from a gorgeous beach. We tried the 2 closest restaurants and both were good and had entertainment at the weekend.
