Nice hotel. Friendly staff. Free wifi ( although sometimes a little flaky )
touch sensitive computed in the lobby.
comfortable and clean rooms.
very handy for FC Porto stadium and squash/tennis club.
Would have preferred slightly more/different choice for breakfast, but was reasonably continental style and ran until 12pm at the weekends.
staff fluent in English. Highly recommended.

The hostel is more a hotel, beds made, rooms cleaned every day. We had privacy and quiet. The shared dinner for 10euro was superb, one of our best. The staff was very kind, went out of their way to make sure we had clear directions for walking, good recommendations for meals and sightseeing, and that we were comfortable. A wonderful discovery, I highly recommend it. Easy to walk to center city and transportation centers.

This is a small 9 room guest house that tries harder than most hotels. The staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful in outlining and mapping out the city's interesting sights, recommending an excellent restaurant for dinner and making sure I made my early train by reserving a taxi and arriving early to make me breakfast before I departed. The location is also a great plus as everything worth seeing is in walking distance. While this isn't a luxurious hotel, it has everything one needs and the staff more than made up for anything wanting. I would definitely stay there again.

After booking via Expedia, i discovered on the ports azul's own website that check in closed at 10pm. As our flight didn't land until 1030pm, i was concerned about this, especially as expedia said no refund possible once booking confirmed. Rang porta azul, and they said no problem. Arrived around 1115pm, to a warm welcome. We were offered hot drinks, but just took a bottle of water and went to our room. Room was fantastic, with welcoming touches such as free glass of port each and a welcome sign on the table. Up early next day. Lovely home made breakfast, very relaxed, no rushing around. After breakfast, the manager gave us recommendations of things to see and do on our day in porto. We didn't manage to complete them all, but look forward to doing more of them on our return. My one regret is that we only had a single day and night there. We will definitely be back.

We loved our relaxing stay in the Garden Loft and didn’t want to leave. Fabiana & Teresa were wonderful and have the gift of making guests feel looked after and comfortable in a most discreet and unobtrusive way. Breakfasts were superb and delicious home-made cake was a treat later in the day.
Each aspect of 4Rooms has been carefully considered, combining Souto de Moura’s minimalist architecture and garden with beautifully designed objects and furnishings.
4Rooms is in a great area too with both the sea and restaurants just a short stroll away and Porto itself easily reached by local transport.
