Cons: it would have been bice to have tea making facilities in bedroom

Careful with the room you get.Posted Oct 17, 2013
Pros: The building, lots of character.
Cons: Conditions of the room
Location: Short walk to many attractons
We had booked and paid for our stay months in advance but when we arrived they didn't have a room for us, they sent us to another hotel and we had to be transferred to Casa Marcello the morning after. Our room 12 was bright, quiet, spacious and comfortable but the hot water and the heating didn't work, 3C temperature outside. After complaining they fixed the hot water but not the heating. The hotel is located in a quiet street and is a Charming XIV century monastery I guess we were unlucky with the room. Staff was friendly and breakfast good.

excellent value and locationPosted Oct 13, 2013
Excellent location, comfort, value, cachet, staff was friendly, but communication was a bit arduous at time. The only downside was the catastrophically boring breakfast (every day the same, without croissant and interesting hot plates, closing ahead of schedule)

Conveniently located, clean rooms, good breakfastPosted Sep 21, 2013
Pros: Location. Close to the main sites, restaurants and shops. Spacious room. Clean. Comfortable beds.
Cons: Replace furniture in the Lobby/Reception area. Improve WiFi service. Improve computer facilities for guests.
Location: Close to everything. You can walk to the main sites to visit, to restaurants and shops. Grocery store close by.
Cumbersome room location, no elevator, steep stairs to get to our room. Sofas in the Reception area are in very bad condition. WiFi connection was not possible in the room. Location is great and breakfast was good. Clean and spacious room.

In a part of the old town that was very central.Posted Sep 14, 2013
Pros: An old style building with some quirky features, our room had a spiral staircase up to the bathroom.
Cons: In our room the shower screen didn't have a rubber seal, so was leaking onto the floor when you showered. We did report this in our comments
Location: Central to the old town square and near the river.
Prague is a beautiful city. The hotel was in a good location and had a lovely courtyard area. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Restaurants were very reasonable if you didn't choose somewhere on the main streets.

Nice Hotel...Good location but hard to find!Posted Sep 13, 2013
Pros: Location (once I realized where we were located) Bed was very comfortable PILLOWS were amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My daughter wanted to buy them!
Cons: Better directions to the hotel and back from the area. Fresh fried eggs in the morning.
Location: Old Town Prague.....great location to Jewish Quarter and Town Square
We arrived in a taxi from the student bus service from Cesky Krumlov. Fortunately, the taxi driver knew how to get there. It took us almost the whole time staying there to find the hotel once we left the premises. Actually, it IS centrally located in the Old Town, BUT you have to know which streets to take, or you....like us....will wander around lost. The room was clean, nicely furnished...fairly upscale, but the floor plan was as confusing as it was trying to find the actual hotel. There are stairs and stairs and separate ways to access the lobby. I got lost several times trying to find the lobby AND the restaurant. HOWEVER, if you overlook the confusing structure/and/or you have a better sense of direction, this would be a good choice. The only downside (and I really don't mean to be negative because it was a very nice hotel, nicely decorated and upscalish) that the cheaper rooms do not have air conditioning. Also, the shower door is tricky.....hard to NOT spill water on the floor. The breakfast was great although I did have to LIE and say that we both wanted two eggs each in order to get them to cook fresh fried eggs. They were a bit reluctant to do that. The breakfast room is a nice place to chat with fellow tourists, and the breakfast is filling. The hotel has a Spa but it looked fairly expensive so I don't know how it is. As for choosing a hotel: I'd definitely consider this, would book it again, but bring a compass or obtain better directions and ask about ac.

Great LocationPosted Sep 11, 2013 on Hotels.com
Everything was fine. But there is no AC in the room. Also I was on the 3d floor and had to use a stairs to pull up all my luggage upstairs by myself. But I guess it was a part of old Prague experience))) No parking close by. TV was not working and nobody seems care about it.

In Old Town, Josefov DistrictPosted Aug 25, 2013
Pros: Location and character.
Cons: Lift and AC would be nice but probably can't be retrofitted into a building this old.
Location: See experience comments.
Easy 3 block walk to the Old Town Square or Powder Tower. Six blocks to Charles Bridge. Great hotel experience in the medieval section of town. Reasonable rates for the location and very friendly and helpful staff. Only drawbacks were no lift or AC but the character of the hotel more than makes up for the slight inconvenience. Renovated in 2012. Would highly recommend.
