The hotel location is fine and within an easy walk to the metro and very close to one of the tram stops. However, we when got to our room we had a non working mini fridge. The door was removed and off to the side and the whole unit unplugged. That was disappointing as we would have liked to have chilled our water and stored some food items. There was no curtain or blinds on our windows which made the room really hot! We also couldn't block out the sunlight when the sky began becoming light at 4am.

Hotel Price for Camp Bed
Asked for twin room. Information said two double beds, that's why I booked here. Arrived and only one bed ready. The other was a camp bed. Informed reception. Receptionist didn't know how to set up the camp bed. Very dissatisfied. There are nicer hotels in the centre for the same price. If I want to sleep on a camp bed, I will go camping. Our room was nothing like the pictures, which had two proper beds. Paid £70 per night. Poor value for money. I very rarely complain. I am not a moaner and groaner. Give this one a miss.

One of the worst hotel I have seen. No phone in the room, the door lock was broken, TV does not have remote control. And the worst was the bathroom

This is a communist era hotel hotel. You could literally hear everythimg next door.Its mostly filled with eastern europeans.

It was close to my Conference, good restaurants nearby. However, the toilet seat was cracked and was never fixed, even though I asked. Otherwise all was good.

Good location
It was former apartment house but it was done well, it looked that the management did a lot to make it nice. Only walls were probably thin because it was quite responsive from the room next door. I recommend to look first in the room before you enter so you do not happen for the same thing: I have booked rooms where it would be the fridge, but I have got a really small room without the fridge. There was barely place for a double bed and two armchairs incl. a giant little table. The next day I complained about it and then I got to change the room to a larger room, so there was the fridge, but I had to move in first next day, because then the room would be free. The bed was fine though and I lay good, the bathrooms in all rooms was really nice. The wifi worked well too. Unfortunately one day when I came back in the afternoon, did I found the room untouched, supposed they did not had time for to clean it? There were only two girls for the whole hotel and had to take care of both the breakfast and the cleaning so they had a lot to do. The breakfast was right so good, the breakfast room really crisp. The staff were really nice and accommodating. It was in a good location, close to the tram, but also within walking distance to the city center. The area was quiet so it was nice.

Poor standard
Staff should pay more attention to cleaning rooms. Very dirty curtains. Refrigerator has broken thermostat and doesn't work in our room. Breakfast is very limited. Vegetarian, vegans or peoples with lactose intolerance will be starving unless they will be happy with tomatoes, cucumber and apples. Hotel has got a good location but all those negative things make me wonder this hotel is behind Europe standards.

Great place to stay in Prague!
Nice and quiet hotel close to central Prague. Great hotel to get some rest. The receptionist was very helpful in giving directions to the nearby laundromats in the area. Breakfast was quite good. Overall, I can't complain!

Only "Fair" I am sorry to say!
I never like to rate a hotel as only being "Fair" as I always check out the places I stay thoroughly before I book, but the Hotel Donatello was only "Fair" at best. The rooms were spacious and clean, and the bathrooms were modern. The breakfast was good (standard Central Europe selection of bread, cheese, cold cuts, hot drinks, etc.), and the location was excellent as it was only an easy 5 minute walk to the top of Wenceslas Square. However, that was the best of it. The Wi-Fi was a disaster as it worked well in the hallways, but was impossible to access in the rooms. You had to really sit in the lobby to get a decent signal. The TV did not work at all and the desk clerk couldn't figure out how to even get it to turn on so I had no news coverage. The housekeeping was poor as they straighten the beds and left new soap, but did nothing to exchange our towels. The worst of all was there was zero hot water the second morning we were there. When I reported it to the front desk they acted like they had no idea what was wrong nor offered to fix it. I was there on business and needed a good place to stay where I could work and prepare properly in the evenings for the next day. I am sorry to say this wasn't a good stay other than the location.

Hotel old and small. Not very happy with this hotel, room very very....small,bad not good very uncomfortable, bad does not have the bad head and is stack to one side of the wall,room has odour. Morning breakfast very poor.Staff very good helpful,friendly well spoken english. Hotel in good area 10min walk from the main street no need public transport.

Overall, this hotel is a good bargain if you do not pay much for it. The rooms are old but OK, and the furnishings are a bit tacky, but still...OK neighbourhood, more or less quiet street. The shower had an easy-to-fix flooding problem. Wonder why they haven't taken care of that. For my last night, I had to be moved to a different hotel...because apparently my room had gotten flooded (although this didn't have anything to do with my using the shower, it was some other problem). The transfer went smoothly and the new hotel was fine too. Things like that can happen, of course.

It wasn't the best stay, everything seemed a bit run down and not too clean! The hotel staff weren't the most helpful and we didn't even get a goodbye when we checked out. The location of the hotel is good though

A good value for visiting Prague
You don't have to pay the high price of downtown but still a walkable (~1 mile) distance to old town square. Internet and breakfast included, fairly convenient, clean and comfortable. Try to avoid hot days as it doesn't have air conditioning.

would be ok for 2 days, otherwise foam mattress and dust are quite essentials which they can t offer to you, it s not a 4 star, let s be honest , also not in old town, which make you get in trouble with cabs, and take advantage of you, asked for a cab in Christmas evening from the hotel Donatello to another hotel for dinner," the Donatello hotel concierge" said half hour to get there, same airport price, got another taxi from Mandarin hotel where we were, and was half price, left with the feeling that the concierge from Donatello did not help us at all. The only good remember was the lady in the breakfast, could not speak one word in English but so helpful different from the whole staff.

Very convenient comfortable hotel
We were very pleasantly surprised by how nice our stay was. The Hotel Donatello is located on a quiet block adjacent to one of the main streets in Prague's New Town. The number 22 tram stops literally at the corner of the street which makes getting around very easy. We had a family room with two bathrooms. The four of us--father, mother and two daughters--were quite comfortable in our room.

A Renaissance in the making.
Walk into the lobby and be suprised at a renaissance happing to this delightful hotel in one of the quitest yet most convenient spots in Prague. Our recently refurbished room was quite, comfortable with plenty of room and a good sized bathroom with jacuzie. The crowning glory though is the STAFF... they are very friendly extreemly friendly, helpful and their spring into action at the mere hint of a request without the usual sales angle one gets from the big hotels is highly commendable and refreshing to say the least. As an example of their 100% committment to customer service...Lufthansa lost our bagagge (with no appology after 3 days of no assistance and inconvenience) in Munich when transiting from Moscow, the excellent intense chasing up several times a day by Olga and Kesinia whilst we fulfilled day long committments elsewhere culminated in our baggage eventualy arriving at the hotel. Their helpfulness, valuable and time saving suggestions of what/where /when to avoid and information on any subject related to beautiful Prague and the Czech Republic, booking expertise and honest and courteous manner (smilling at all times) was matched by the wonderful ladies of the breakfast room. The staff really do make this hotel a happy, relaxed and charming place to stay. Its not like the big chains, that tend to be impersonal, and sameness "been their done that", its more like "a good old fashion family style" hotel that makes one feel at home whilst on holiday, well done ladies!!!

スタッフは、みんな親切で丁寧で良かったです。部屋は4階の奥の部屋で綺麗で可愛らしく広めの部屋でした(2人でスーツケースを広げれるくらい。)シャワーが出なくて蛇口の方でお湯を出してお風呂に入った、スタッフを呼べば解決したのかもしれないが、面倒でそのまま入ったので、設備面で△ ドライヤーは設備に無かったが、持っていった物は電圧の関係上使えず自然乾燥しました。 朝食は種類がものすごく多いわけではなかったが、ソーセージ、卵、パンなど美味しかったので、一泊しか食べれ無くて残念でした。 部屋も綺麗で立地も観光地に近く、映画に出てくるような建物で、とても満足です！あとは、ドライヤー完備しててくれたら！

Sconsiglio assolutamente questo hotel!!! Come prima cosa è sporco da morire, gli asciugamanani non sono mai stati cambiati e negli angoli della stanza erano presenti anche dei fazzoletti sporchi probabilemente di altri ospitit mai stati raccolti. Il letto era un materasso posizionato a terra, nulla a che vedere con le foto presenti sul sito. La moquet della stanza sporchissima, non ho mai camminati a piedi scalzi per paura di prendere malattie, e nelle altre aree dell'hotel non era di certo meglio. Nella sala della colazione ho visto anche ragni. Non andate assolutamente, non è un hotel che si può permettere 3 stelle.

嚴重貨不對辦
今次訂的是2張雙人床的房，去到房間打開門傻了眼，因為房間好細及只有一張大床，同相片完全不符，好似去了第二間酒店一樣。到reception同職員講我係2張雙人床的房，職員話他們full house, 而且整間酒店都只有1張大床房房間。我再問他為什麼網上有2床房，他換了說法說，有2張床但拼在一起變雙人床了。我再show email俾佢睇佢已經唔耐煩話有咩事可以聽日同佢經理投訴，但現在什麼都做不了。 我唯有上房，好彩張床係由2張單人床拼埋上面加一張雙人床褥而成，所以如相片中我地將床分開，其中一張床用毛巾舖床。 第二日去搵經理問同樣問題，經理話有我哋嘅房種貴啲嘅，但冇房就俾咗平價房我。重叫我下次book完之後email俾佢哋留房。 重有下次？？唔會囉
