Just returned from a great stay at Serenade! This was our first time in the DR and were pleasantly surprised with this hotel. The room was very spacious and clean, the bed was comfortable and we really enjoyed the patio. We are now forever spoiled by having a ocean view room. We ended up eating at the buffet's or sports bars each meal because we didn't want to eat late but all of the buffet's were decent. I never have high hopes for a buffet anywhere and can always find something to eat. Loved the omelet station in the morning and the guacamole at lunch! The drinks were weak but good, I would recommend asking for a double. :) The grounds were well maintained and they were always out cleaning. The beach did have a lot of seaweed but, the crew was out there all day every day doing everything they could! My one recommendation is if you are going, you HAVE to get out there early in order to get a chair, especially if you want shade! We were getting out there at 6 a.m. to claim our spot, by 7-7:30, spaces are SPARSE! It's annoying that some people claim their spot and then leave it empty all day, we did not. We were out there from 9-5 daily. So enjoyable!

Rooms were very nice and clean. Service was only good - no one really tries hard. Restaurants are good and the Bellum is excellent. The Cut and Olivio were average. Japanese was good and fun. Spa was excellent except for the front desk service which was disrespectful - a women standing outside the spa was not very nice. Beach service was average but the preferred area was great for being on the beach. There was a constant sewage smell in the main lobby but our room was fine.

It’s a new property, large room. Food quality is OK. I am surprised that the fruit in buffet was not as good as I expected. It’s fresh, however, the quality was not as good as I expected. There was sewage smell at some place of the property, after we complained, it changed.

Not a 5-star experience. Everything was fair the food was bland and made us sick after day 3 of a 5 day trip. It’s impossible to get reservations, the room service menu was small, no food options between 3-6ish (terrible for a toddler use to eating around 5pm). Wouldn’t recommend to friends or family and would not return.

This was our first time coming to punta Cana and our first time coming to an all inclusive resort. Pros - swim out room was nice. The pools seemed to be cleaned in the morning. Relaxing having a private space. (Especially considering main pools close early around 7pm) - Buffet had many options to choose from and the food was decent. - the beach had pockets of water with no seaweed and were lovely to swim in. The beach did leave something to be desired. - The resort was always being cleaned. - Night life was tame, focused more towards kids than adults. We stayed on the family side as we couldn’t get in to adult only side. Cons - nobody bothered to explain to us how anything worked. Where to get towels, how to make reservations, etc. much of this we had to figure out for ourselves. - Nearly all the restaurants were reserved during our stay. We were lucky enough to get the Italian place - The room left much to be desired. The shower would flood after only a minute of being on and took forever for it to drain. Apparently all rooms have see through glass showers. Weird being the family resort and having a swim out room. Neither the front door or back door truly locked. Housekeeping entered the room at one point while we were inside (we had no note on the door asking for housekeeping). This meant staff could enter the room whenever they wanted. And the back door (we had swim out) would not lock either. - Door knobs, faucets and many other things were broken and barely hangi

We were a group of 16 people. Rooms spacious and in decent condition. Lobby and common areas in good condition. What we found to be a disappointment was the food. We had dinner at the olive, the cut, and surf and turf. The food was bad. Breakfast at the buffets was ok Burgers at the beach were good. Overall bad experience as 6 family members got food poison , spent last 2 days in the bathroom

We spent 4 days in Serenade Punta Cana Beach & Spa Resort - All Inclusive. First.. there are bugs everywhere you go, even in the food. Second.. we went we a group of 16 people and 9 of us got very sick, vomit and diarrhea (food poisoning). third.. food quality is very poor to be a 5 star hotel. We definitely are not coming back to this hotel. We went to complaint to the front desk and the people in front of us were complaining that they got robbed, all their belonging from the room were gone. Please do your self a favor and don’t come to this hotel.

Serenade is an amazing resort and we loved everything about it! The place has a very luxurious feeling to it and is kept very clean. Staff was constantly washing the hallway floors and our bedroom got cleaned every day. Hedges and trees were also very nicely trimmed. The Buffet is huge and has sooo many options, breakfast and dinner are definitely the best! I’m not a very picky eater and loved the food, my husband had to get used to it first. If you prefer American food the sports bar and the classic burger from the food truck are probably your best bet. There’s also 7 other restaurants that have most of the food free of cost you’ll just need a reservation for those. The entertainment is amazing! We loved all the night shows, the first pool also has games going on a big part of the day. We travelled without kids but the resort is very kid friendly, has a big kid pool with a play structure and also had another play structure under a roof. The Beach has beautiful sand with crystal clear water on most days. There is a little bit of seaweed but it gets cleaned every day. All in all, amazing staff, beautiful place, would definitely recommend.

Access to beaches, pools, and other sites on the property were outstanding! The buffet for breakfast and lunch was also amazing, with lots of favorites and local fare available. The staff was not super-helpful or friendly in every context (e.g., the person who was supposed to help us plan dinner reservations and events…when we first walked in…was not very friendly and looked irritated she had to do her job), but it was sufficient. Overall, we would give this a really solid “GOOD” rating.

This is a lovely resort! On the smaller side for sure, so it's very walkable. It's quality of a la cartes and pools was excellent. The shows were awesome each night. The service was hit or miss, sometimes it was excellent and sometimes it was not good at all. The maid service was excellent. A lovely resort for people who want a quiet vacation, with good food.

It's a five-star hotel and it doesn't deserve them. We like the cleaning of the room and the buffet but the workers are very rude and do not thank a tip. The elevator is always damaged. For those who come with children, I do not recommend it. Not to mention that we came with everything included and when we arrived here we had to pay spa, we had to pay lobster, among many things.

One of the best resorts I’ve ever stayed in it has music and at night variations of restaurants and a club the club is more on the quiet side than on the party crazy type vibes which personally I like everything was great

The description of the property was misleading g on their website, they failed to explain that the regular rooms come with terrible service or no service. There’s a huge difference between the food, amenities and service in the adults section (Seranade All Suites) and the family section (Seranade resort and spa), by the way there’s no spa at all, you have to pay even to use the sauna and it’s way over priced. Food was ok’ish, you should take Imodium with you. Entertainment was all for little kids and staff cared to do anything only if you tip them. We tipped all the time when we’re there but it became irritating to feel forced to tip or you don’t get anyone’s attention. This resort stay is expensive if you’re someone who values privacy and decide to stay 2 people only on the room as most rooms are occupied by 4-6 people which results in way less amenities than the number of people on the resort. There isn’t enough beach chairs or pool chairs at any time of the day or any time of the year. The restaurants are super crowded all the time and food doesn’t get replaced when it’s consumed. Cocktails are super sugary and have cheap alcohol in them (if you can get the attention of the bar tender). It was a stressful trip because we always felt that we are competing with other guests over pool and beach chairs, food, drinks …. everything. This was not a good value for the high price we paid and we will not go there again
