Overall good experience. Property is well maintained, great view, nice and quite. A few thing that threw me and my husband off: Pillows had some yellow/brown stains (we assumed they were washed because they smelled clean), sheets had small holes. No free WiFi, had to pay a third party to connect, although if you don’t stay in the main lodge, the WiFi won’t work. PS very remote place, no phone reception whatsoever.

The staff is nice and friendly. The property and facility are very old, which make everything looked unclean and smell. The room is so tiny, where only one chair can be fit in! The internet is very bad. The service provider is not good. We had paid 2 twice 2g and 3 times 5 g to finish the night.

The common areas of this historic property are very unique and enjoyable. You feel like you are back in time when this lodge was built. We enjoyed the surroundings...very picturesque. The room we were in was newer and it had all the amenities of the modern area. Unfortunately it also had non functioning fireplace, non functioning thermostat (room temp was 61F ) and clogged sink.

The Lodge is a historic building in a beautiful setting but the rooms and facilities are tired, uncomfortable and more akin to a 1.5 - 2 star hotel. Its damp, dank and smelly. We stayed in room 207 which I would encourage everyone to avoid. The boiler room is nearby and I was kept awake all night by loud metallic banging caused by the heating system. Staff were not responsive to my concerns and didn’t even bother to validate my complaints, acting in a defensive and dismissive manner. The restaurant is drastically overpriced for poor quality offerings and a menu which belongs in the 1980s. I encountered multiple rude staff both in the dining area and at main reception.

The exterior and outside are beautiful. I really loved the inside communal living area too. This is such a neat idea, and it was well used. The room itself was tiny, dank, smelled musty, and not terribly comfortable. No room cleaning services, you have to ask for towels or coffee and what they provide is minimal. The room was cold and no shower, just a tub. I tried to think of it like camping. The food in the dining room was quite good, but really overpriced. The dining staff was all very friendly. The location is amazing though, many trails accessible from the hotel and they are absolutely gorgeous. There’s no cell service or WiFi- which was fine although I wish I would have known in advance. You can drive over to the Quinault Internet Cafe to get WiFi with a meal or coffee.

We didn’t have any heat in our room. Called the front desk and they had no one on maintenance staff so they gave us a space heater. I froze all night. The lake view from our room was amazing though.

Had a great time and the fireplace was awsome. Spent a lot of time sitting and reading by it. On the second day the boiler gave out in the lodge so they gave everyone an electric heater for the rooms which worked fine. It was February in the Quinault Rain Forest so it was beautiful and the waterfalls were spectacular. If you have time, take the trip to the Hoh Rain Forest and do the Trail of Moss. You will never forget it.

The lodge was nice and cozy to walk to into particulary after coming in from a winter wonderland outdoors. The front staff was informative and pleasant. Although limited, the dinner options were quite tasty and our server was amazing. The pool was nicely headed. We had a corner fireplace room. It was very nicely updated including the heated floors in the bathroom. My only complaint is the flat pillows and no extra towels in place to swim.I will definitely stay again.

Historic lodge with a variety of accommodations in a sunny setting. This was a perfect location for a weekend of rest and relaxation. Lovely room inside the lodge, comfortable king bed, private bathroom and more.

The area is beautiful, the facility is old and quaint but the rooms could use a little regular TLC. The beds were ok, the pillows were flat and gave both of us stiff necks after day two. With little to no breakfast options currently in the area, upon checkout with many people heading to their next destination a coffee station in the lobby would be a nice gesture and go a long way to leaving a positive lasting memory.

The property is beautiful. What we enjoyed was the lake, pool and sauna. What wasn’t our favorite was the stains on the sheets, the smell of the room, and the lack of free WiFi. The hotel allows 30 minutes of free WiFi per day. Cell service is limited to non existent if you’re planning on hiking the area of needing to do any research make sure you have all of that before you head there. Staff was friendly and the lodge is pretty cool to looking. No tv or phone in the room either. It is truly a place to unplug.

We really want to love it here…
I was really wanting to love this place. Planned a weekend getaway to unplug, explore ONP and relax. The area is gorgeous. The lodge is really neat - loved it’s history. BUT…The room (fireplace room) was so bad. It wasn’t very clean, there were no complimentary bathroom products, the bed had no give and felt like the cheapest of the cheap mattresses. There was no phone if you needed to call front desk (and we didn’t have service). No free internet (needed it to look up our explorative destinations in ONP). We were hoping for quiet, the rooms are supposed to be geared towards couples. First night was OK - we were in a connecting room so we heard everything from our neighbors. The second night, in addition to that issue, the guests above us had a baby/toddler. It was nearly unbearable. My recommendation, get an upper level room without a connecting door or try the more contemporary “Lakeside” rooms, maybe they would be better. We at one meal at the lodge, $137 - dinner for two and two old fashioneds. Breakfast would have been about the same, so we opted for the store a mile up the road to grab snacks to satisfy us for the day.

Girls' trip.
Wonderful scenery and nice staff. The weather was also great. My sister and I took the Rain Forest Tour and it was fun and interesting. Would highly recommend it.

The heated indoor pool was a nice surprise along with the amazing game room for families. Customer service was exceptional and it made for a relaxed getaway. There wasn’t great cell service and/or WiFi due to the remote location but that is why we were there…to be in nature. Lots of great hikes and only a 45 minute drive to Ruby Beach which is one of our favorites.

I’ve been to plenty of deep-country properties like this, and the lodge here is easily top 3 in terms of quality of on site food and the superb cleanliness of the place. I intend to go back, it was a lovely stay. Staff superb.

Wonderful national park lodge located in the Olympic Rain Forest. The lodge and staff were terrific and the Thanksgiving dinner was unbelievable. Would highly recommend this experience to those wanting to escape to an incredible natural environment.

The first thing we noticed was that the room was very dated and probably hasn't been renovated since the 90s. The fireplace was covered with a non-removable glass, which was completely opaque from the inside, making it pointless. There were deep yellow stains on the pillowcases and bed sheets. Lady at the reception said that laundry facilities have been problematic and the issue is hotel-wide. There were other noticeable stains on the bed and the carpet. No room service (you have to come down to reception and get everything yourself). Only 30 minutes of extremely slow Wifi, after which you have to pay $8 for every 2Gb. No cell phone reception of any kind. No free breakfast. All of those issues would be completely forgivable and even minor if the rates were not $300 per night. The price is completely unjustified. We did not end up staying and got a full refund through Expedia.

Lodge was beautifully situated overlooking the lake. Room was tiny and bathroom shower was dangerous. Slippery floor and small. More shower grab bars, please. Stairs to second floor room were dark and handrail stopped before you reached the top.. ended up pinching my finger trying to find a place to hold on to.

Great atmosphere. You feel like you are back in the day when stopping at an inn for rest and escape was a bit of an adventure. Comfortable facility with charm plus. Could use some deeper cleaning in room. Food is expensive for what it is, but comparable to other state and federal park venues. Staff is very earnest, friendly, and helpful.
