Long weekend at the beach

Posted Aug 19, 2014
Our hotel stay was comfortable and the staff very friendly. We were acknowledged each time we came into the hotel. Room was spacious and clean. Hotel offered small breakfast but also walking distance to Bob Evans. Close to everything but off main road. We had beautiful view of golf course.

Wonderful Overnight Stop

Posted Aug 12, 2014
Pros: Room decor
Cons: Add to variety of breakfast offering
Location: Deleware beaches
Unique decor and clean rooms made this a good overnight stop close by to Deleware beaches and Lewes-Cape May ferry. Hotel was child friendly but maintained an atmosphere appropriate to all travelers (single, business, etc...).

Pros: Location from Lewes and Rehobeth was great
Cons: The tv was outdated. Tv channel selection was poor. For us the mattress was much to soft. Spoiled with the bedding Hampton uses. Fitness room :(.
Location: Lewes and Rehobeth Beach Del
The room was absolutely great. Spacious, clean. Location to nearby sites was convenient. Fitness room was a joke.

This was the only hotel we could find with availability and we were very pleasantly surprised at how nice it was. Would definitely stay again.

Much nicer than I expected. Good hotel.

We had a pleasant stay at the Heritage Inn. Booking online, I didn't really know what to expect, but it was a decent building. Built in 2000, it was fairly contemporary. The rooms are all named with a theme, so there's one for each of the 50 states, territories, and several national parks. They must have eventually run out of those, since we saw "American Automobiles" and "American Music" in the upper floors. We stayed in Nevada, and there was a mini "museum" with Nevada-related memorabilia in a cabinet in the corner of the room. My kids liked that touch. Everything worked the way it was supposed to, the hotel is convenient to Rt. 1 and tons of dining and shopping. It's across the street from the movies. There's a pool that was kind of small. Generally a good experience. The only thing that I thought was weird was the front desk person handed me keys labeled "212" upon check-in, and they didn't unlock that room. I went back to the desk and asked to have them re-flashed. I went back to 212 and got right in, only to realize quickly that someone was already living in that room (fortunately they weren't in the room at that moment). It turned out that she wrote the wrong number on the key envelope and it should have been 313. Kind of scary thinking that they'd give just anyone the key to your room, though. Free breakfast was tasty - nothing fancy (two cereals, plenty of danishes, muffins, and yogurt) but it's always nice to not have to pay extra to eat in the morning.

Very plain hotel, no bells and whistles

Posted Jun 24, 2014
Pros: Clean and quiet
Cons: Improve "breakfast" offering. Fix the pool gate, ,make newspaper available, put smiles on your desk clerks. They barely acknowledge us
Location: No comment
An inexpensive hotel that offers clean rooms, but not much else'

Decent hotel near Rehoboth's outlets & activities.

Posted Jun 23, 2014
Pros: Easy to get in/out, outdoor heated pool, couple of tables with umbrellas at pool, views overlooking golf course at back of hotel are nice.
Cons: Bathroom could be updated to include venting and upgraded counters/lighting/toiletries.
Location: Nice location near Rehoboth's Midway Movies/Speedway and close to all types of shopping, restuarants, etc.
Spaciousness of family suite, golf course views at back of hotel and the balconies overlooking pool are probably the most favorable qualities. Room was very clean and extra towels provided promptly at front desk when requested. The hotel is older and could obviously use some updating from that perspective, but location, amenties (outdoor pool, fitness center, WiFi access, continental breakfast), cleanliness and decent value near the shore make this hotel a nice option.
