There is no 24/7 front desk worker. You check in on an iPad located outside of the building and we were no provided with any instructions. It took a few calls to finally reach someone. There was also no breakfast which the reservation said it included. WI-FI was also not working.

DO NOT BOOK! The place only has remote operation, we never got booking comfirmation, the pin to the room didn’t work and the payment system fails everytime. Most of the guests were locked outside the rooms/hotel when we arrived. There is literally no staff and the lobby is under construction still. This hotel should not be operating!

The website was totally misleading. Everything was some distance away. The property was like a old apartment building. No micro, the refrigerator didn't work the staff had no personality and could care less about you. It was cheap to though

The desk staff were very helpful, friendly and kind. They suggested some sites for us to see , really excellent ideas. The weather was cold and the hotel was warm!

The shower was slanted and this made shower difficult with water flying everywhere but it was clean and very comfortable. Lovely staff. Good location near vegan cafe.

The rooms were extremely small. No were to put your clothing and you had to go outside to go to your room.

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Aska. The beds were comfy and the room was very clean! It’s a little longer walk to some restaurants but we didn’t mind. Taxi and scooters are available if you don’t want to walk. The staff was all so helpful and friendly.

Free parking, and an easy 5 min walk to a grocery store. We had rented a car but found it was also super close to museums and things and mostly just walked places downtown. The staff was so nice and helpful too.

As an American there is no hairdryer, no microwave. No AC , it’s could be crazy hot in the room . Noises is coming all over from this place , in the morning from cleaning. If you open your window from the cars . For this price I never had such a terrible experience.

The hotel was in a relatively good location, 20 minute walk to town centre. The rooms were clean and tidy but had issues with the shower as the lip intended to keep the water in was not substantial enough, so water flooded the bathroom. The sinks were tiny (had plenty of room for bigger ones) there was a shelf above the sink, which made leaning over the sink and brushing teeth etc impossible. We also requested a room on the top floor, which was confirmed on an email, but when we arrived were given a ground floor room with a view of a wall. This was changed but not to the top floor we requested.

Hotel location is very quiet and super convenient, it’s close to downtown (10 - 15 mins walk) through Laugavegur, a very commercial street full of nice bars, restaurants and gift shops. Another important thing about the location is that most of the company tours pick up and drop off at the Brim or Orkin hotel, both located next door, so you don’t have to worry about walking long to a bus stop to get picked up for your excursions. Hotel premises are new and rooms as well, very clean and well maintained. The little coffee maker in the room 😍, nothing like a good coffee in the morning. Hotel staff were super friendly and helpful, always willing to take care of you and your requests. Thanks Hotel Aska for everything and definitely will stay again with you guys.

We stayed at this hotel whilst in Iceland for NYE. It is a little walk away from town which in the snow/ice takes longer and for some might be more difficult so I’d bear that in mind when booking. The walk is not difficult and would be a nice walk in summer. As it’s not in the tourist spots it’s quiet and there was parking around the property. It’s also easy to walk to the sun voyager, Perlan museum and the bus stations all around 20 minutes. To get into town you walk down the main shopping street and I think if we’d not stayed in this hotel we’d not have walked the whole of this street and seen/experienced nice restaurants, bars and shops. The property is new and felt new. It was clean and the bed was a good size and comfortable. Powerful shower also. The staff were very polite and helpful. Cleaners tidied but were respectful and didn’t move our belongings.

Happy to do again especially in nicer weather
nice to be on top floor (4th) so no noises above. But the access from lobby is outdoors under roof to the stair/elevator tower, then outdoors no roof to the room. Once in the room it was very quiet, modern and comfortable but lacking a work desk. A good nights sleep

The property was fine. There is no food or drink near the hotel. It is a 30 minute walk into downtown where there are some options. During our stay a construction site near the hotel was using dynamite and as a guest you would hear the warning sirens and then the hotel would shake from the explosion.

The manager and his staff were extremely accommodating and helpful during our 6 night stay in this brand new hotel. The hotel is within walking distance of the Laugavegur restaurant and shopping area. There are a few nice cafes on the same street as the hotel. We highly recommend the Hotel Aska.

Great Price - Walking Distance to Touristy Area
Nice room, but it was HOT when I came in and I was not informed how to turn heat down. View is not the best and location is a tad off the beaten path. That said, it is less than a mile from the main eateries/shopping area. Customer Service was amazing, and the chocolate bar received at check-in made my stay! Overall, I'd stay there again (the price is right!).
