Such a lovely home in a wonderful community
My husband and I, along with my adult son, his wife, and our two grandkids spent five days at this property over spring break. It is a beautiful home and the pictures accurately show the quality of the place. It turned quite cold while we were there so we spent considerable time inside with the grandkids while my son and his wife house-hunted. It is quite spacious and gave us plenty of room to enjoy each other but have our own space too. The glass along the back gives a beautiful view of the tranquil Buddha garden and the natural landscape beyond. I loved having my coffee in the big room each morning looking out while enjoying our family.
Another perk if you are the couple enjoying the master bedroom—there is a TemperPedic Adaptable Foam mattress with an adjustable base. If you know about these amazing mattresses, you know that this provides some amazing rest! I would also like to say is that the owner’s art and book collection are a source of enjoyment. I would have liked to spend a month just reading every book! The only negative I will say—and this is because of our situation and not the home—is that it isn’t ideal for a 2 year old. There are so many intriguing artistic items that little hands want to explore. I wound up moving things higher so that he could not break them. I hope I got everything put back in its proper place.
I would also recommend the community of Rhinebeck with its many shops and restaurants. I give it all 5+ stars.
