Beautiful location Ocean Front Rio.. BarraPosted Jul 28, 2014
Pros: Location was the best feature
Cons: More electrical outs by bedside... USB outlets to charge cell
Location: great location
Luxury Hotel with great buffet... nice pool on top deck with full bar. Incredible view of strip from the Top Deck.. I was not happy that they do not provide a free WIFI.. they charge for it. This was the only draw back for a business traveler.. I went outside to the sushi restaurant next door. where I got free WIFI. Not all WIFI are good.. be ready...

Great choicePosted Jul 17, 2014
Pros: hospitable, clean, quieter location in safe neighborhood.
Cons: hotel rooms are in need soft goods update/refresh - furnishings/bedding ready for more modern look.
Location: It's a safer beach front area than copacabana/ipanema and feels like a more affluent neighborhood.
Windsor Barra is claimed as a 5 star hotel, which sets expectations of what a 5 star hotel is in the US. This is a nice 4 star hotel by US standards, with very accommodating and pleasant staff and is extremely clean and well maintained. We were there 10 days total and it was a lovely stay.... just don't expect a 5 star room product. I would return and recommend.

Stay anywhere else in Rio but herePosted Jun 25, 2014
Pros: The pool on the roof has a great view.
Cons: Everything could be improved. Servcie, cleanliness, decor, value.
Location: Great location, lots to do on the beach close by
Very poor hotel. Very over priced. Bog standard rooms, for the same price as the Ritz in London. The staff are not friendly, the food is poor, the room smelled bad and I can only advise you steer clear of this hotel if you value your money and the way you like to be treated. I am a frequent traveller and spend about 4-months of the year on the road. This is the worst hotel experience I have ever had.

Overpriced Business HotelPosted Nov 27, 2013 on Hotels.com
The food is terrible and overpriced like everything else in this hotel. Ordered room service 2 times and the food was TERRIBLE!!! and the worst part was the price they charged you for it ($5 USD each beer, $25-$30 plain pasta dish...). The internet is $20 a day and it is slow. The rooms are decent just like any average Courtyard; but for 3 times the price.

Nice Hotel Not but Not Convenient to Seeing RioPosted Nov 6, 2013 on Hotels.com
Rooms very nice, great showers and ameneties. Broad selection on breakfast buffet, dinner buffet not that great. Not much of anything within walking distance so everything requires a taxi ride. Staff was nice, spoke english. The rooftop pool/terrace area was wonderful.

Call aheadPosted Oct 27, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel had a hard time locating my reservation because it had been booked through hotels.com - save yourself the headache and call ahead to make sure you're in the system before you arrive.

Nice Hotel, next to the beach.........butPosted Sep 2, 2013
Pros: food, staff care, room meeting
Cons: shuttle transfer from/to the airport
Location: more publicity and more variety of tourist packages to visit the city of Rio
is relatively close to many things, but the City is far from Copacabana, where many things revolve
