1 Bedroom Bungalow at Never Winter

Never Winter is on the calm north shore in a small private community (Milton Point). World class snorkeling/diving on the world's second largest barrier reef at your doorstep. This is the relaxing beach vacation you have been waiting for!

1 bedroom beach bungalow with all the essentials. Full kitchen and outdoor grill. You are only steps from the water! We have snorkel equipment and stand up paddle boards for you to use any time. There is a private dock, palapa, plunge pool, covered hammock area and fire pit on the property for your enjoyment. We have a beautiful white sand beach and swimming area that is maintained daily. En suite bathroom with an outdoor shower! Towels/beach towels and hammocks included.

Rental car is highly recommended (we can recommend a local company that is affordable). Round trip airport transportation can be arranged for an additional fee (with a stop at the grocery store on the way to the property). We are a 10-15 minute drive to the nearest town of French Harbor that has a grocery store and restaurants. We are 25-30 min from Coxen Hole where the airport and cruise ports are. And then about 50-60 min drive from West End.

It was Paradise
I stayed in the cottage, and my family stayed at the house on the same property. My cottage was perfect. I am 1 person, but it would be comfortable for a couple. It was clean, well stocked with kitchen items and bathroom and beach towels, I absolutely loved the outdoor shower, and only 1 time was I joined by a small lizard. Chris, the grounds keeper was very nice and helpful. He kept the grounds and beach very clean. There was a security guard on the property at night, and once I got used to the sound of the palm trees brushing against the house, I felt very safe. It was very peaceful and secluded, which is exactly what we wanted. We had a rental car and we drove to Camp Bay Beach, which was beautiful, and also to Porta Gorda for a wonderful dinner at Wagundan Restaurant. We stayed at Never Winter for 9 days, and only 1 day was overcast, but no rain. I would definitely return to Never Winter if given the opportunity. Make sure that you bring the strongest bug spray, and reapply often.

Not as expected
The cabin was cute but hard to find and not well stocked. The neighborhood made me nervous and we had a scary experience one night coming back from dinner. Would not stay in the area again

Beautiful and quiet
My wife and I stayed for a week in February. The host was great, location was exactly what we wanted with an almost-private beach and quiet atmosphere. It’s not a busy spot and you will need a car rental (which Desiree helped us get) All in all it was an excellent experience with only a couple things missing. There is no dresser, no storage for your clothes so anything longer than a weeks worth of stuff would be annoying. There is 1 rooftop water heater shared with 2 rentals. Hot water was not available in the later part of the day for showers or dishes. The kitchen is basic but adequate. Good for a couple on a short stay to the island

Slice of Heaven
We stayed in February for a week. Loved that is was located outside the hustle and bustle of the West End. Also loved driving thru the little town of Milton. Al, the locals were nice, helpful and friendly. We even walked it and was completely safe. The house was perfect for us, very clean and has everything you needed for the week. A full kitchen and grill outside. Closest grocery store is about 15 minutes away, super easy. Loved the outside shower, very large and roomy. Only thing missing is there are no doors on the bathroom but not a deal breaker for us, we will be back!

Semi-isolated, the more you can entertain yourself, the more you'll like this place
This place is good if you are OK with bringing and cooking your meals, and want to do some playing in the water (paddle boarding, kayaking, fishing), but not so much for snorkeling right off the beach. It is mostly nicely isolated if that is what you are looking for, but the adjacent rental properties could have people playing loud music or having kids play. Some locals come to the water to play also, and I was fine with that, but others might not be looking for that. I love fishing, and this is a great flat for permit, but when I was there the wind was 15-25 mph, so higher than normal and essentially not very fishable after the first few hours of the morning (in April). We took the offer to have a cook come to the rental unit and cook dinner 3 nights and breakfast+lunch 1 day. The food was prepared pretty well, but the amount of food and spices purchased for our meals (for 2) was about 2-3 times more food than needed, which meant we spent probably 100-150 more USD on food than necessary, and we gave it away to the cook and staff (this might be the normal plan, which I'm OK with, but it just seemed as though it was obviously too much food purchased for 2 people). The fish, shrimp, and lobster purchased for us was good quality and prepared in an acceptable to good manner. You can walk along the beach here, but it is not extremely extensive.

A wonderful, relaxing couples getaway
My wife and I wanted a vacation that was as chill as possible while also being as close to the ocean as possible. Never Winter provided both! We stayed in the one-bedroom dwelling, which has a kitchen (big enough to make/serve meals easily), living room area (good for hanging out and watching TV), bedroom (with an extremely comfortable bed!) and bathroom (with a large outdoor shower attached!). Outside of the dwelling, the property has a grill, fire pit and seating area for meals. We loved sitting out in this area and listening to the birds. Please don't forget your bug lotion though, as the buggies are relentless! :-) The property itself sits just feet away from the ocean, and has a long dock with an upper deck on it. This configuration provides opportunities to swing in hammocks on the lower level or catch a beautiful sunset on the upper level! Our hosts could not have been more accommodating. They greeted us immediately upon arrival and gave us a full tour of the property. They also arranged a snorkel tour for us, and checked in regularly to see if we needed anything. One of the local families even brought us fresh coconut bread a few times (yummy!). In short, Never Winter was the perfect destination for our relaxing couples getaway, and we would 100% come back again in the future.

Amazing stay!
Where to start?? There is so much to love about Never Winter! Our hosts were wonderful, always onsite and available to answer any questions. The cottage we were in was fantastic, clean and new! The kitchen was so thoughtfully equipped, right down to Tupperware for leftovers and straw cleaners. I have yet to see a rental with so much attention to detail. The water cooler was actually plugged in, and not just sitting on the counter dispensing warm water as most other places offer. The bathroom was gorgeous, and large, and what a great outdoor shower! Our hosts even provided a great selection of DVDs for a quiet evening in or a rainy afternoon. Things got even better outside. The beach is beautiful, the dock was just perfect for a morning coffee or afternoon siesta. The use of the kayak and paddleboards was great too. We enjoyed the firepit on more than one occasion. And we can't forget their dog Reef. What a character! He made our stay that much more enjoyable. I would definitely recommend Never Winter, and we will definitely return there ourselves!

Honeymoon/baby moon
My husband and I booked this VRBO as a late honeymoon for us. Shortly after we booked the trip we found out we were expecting- so it became a baby moon as well. The location of this property is definitely away from the “hustle and bustle” of everything- this was something we considered when initially booking this VRBO so we were more than ok with this and was what we expected. It is a good 15 minute (maybe a bit more) drive to the nearest grocery store (Eldon’s). You definitely will want to stop there before getting to the property so you have food and supplies as there isn’t any “fast food” near “never winter” (again we were more than ok with this and this is not a negative, just a heads up). The main road that runs through the island is very nice and paved- the road that you turn off on to get to “never winter” is a downhill dirt/gravel/rocky road- it is quite rough. If you rent a vehicle (recommended if you want to get out and explore daily) you want to try and get something that has a higher clearance- and if you go during the rainy season (September to about January from what we read) probably you would want something that has 4WD in case there was quite a bit of rain prior to your arrival. The property itself it immaculate. There are three homes on the property: the home Jess and Brian (owners) stayed in and two guest houses. We stayed in the one bedroom one bath unit. It was very clean and really had everything you would need. There is an AC unit you can use if needed but we found that keeping the windows open at night were sufficient. Jess and Brian were so wonderful; their hospitality was quite possibly the best I’ve ever seen. You can tell they genuinely care about their guests and how their experience is going. Their dog Reef was so much fun! He loved to play fetch the coconut and find the shell. He was such a joy to have around every day and was sure to get you laughing. The beach area itself is nice and was kept clean daily by Jess and Brian’s employee, Eduin. He was very kind and helpful! The one down side of the beach area are the sand mites they are brutal. You need to be vigilant in wearing your picaradin bug spray. That is one thing you CANT have enough of- they will feast on you if you are not. Never Winter is the perfect place to have a carefree and truly relaxing getaway. Thank you Jess and Brian for such an amazing time and sharing your slice of paradise with us! We will cherish this trip forever.

Wonderful Rest After Diving!
We needed a rest after diving for a week and we wanted to see the east end of the island. NeverWinter really filled the bill! We stayed in the one bedroom. It was beautifully decorated and had a six burner gas stove as the kitchen centerpiece. I almost WANTED to cook...but just was too tired. The porch was completely screened and we spent a lot of time sitting on it, sitting at the outside fire-pit and sitting on the two story dock, reading and staring out at the beautiful bay. Jess's directions to find it were excellent and we appreciated the tips Brian and Jess shared before we went. It's tricky these days doing all the paperwork to get into Honduras. The property was so beautiful and restful... I felt bad there weren't more people there (in the two bedroom). They have put a lot of time and love into making the place fabulous. I'd highly suggest staying there if you have time to see the east end of the island. One warning... its not too good for people that have trouble with steps. OH.. and I can't forget the highlight of our visit - REEF! Their dog. He was hysterical! Anytime they would let him out he would want to play and of course we are dog people. When we got tired of throwing his coconut or frisbee, he would throw it himself and chase it and push it off the dock and jump in the water. He was a joy to watch. They had lots of other activities there (for fee) but we were too tired. Reef was just what we needed.

Awesome and Unique Property!
The setup is awesome! Great house with great hangout spots, both on the beach and on the water. Having the option to wakeboard (extra charge), or grab a free paddle board, or a free kayak, on a whim is what makes this property unique. Not many other places would be cool with you paddle boarding out to the reef, then tethering it to yourself while you snorkel. (The reef is a ways out, so it is a long swim). Or pay Brian to drop you off at a snorkel spot via jetski. The houses are both great. It is a nice spot to avoid the crowds and just relax. It is remote, so make sure to get supplies in French Harbor, before you drop down the hill. There are restaurants 5 mintues away. Definitely rent a car or scooter, to get around.

Most amazing place on earth.
Honeymooned here and had the best time!! Beautiful accommodations with everything we could possibly need. Hammocks, bob fires, paddle boards, ocean kayak, boating, skiing, snorkeling. Far enough away from the cruise ship crowds to feel like a private island, close enough to go get an umbrella 🍹 drink. Jessica and Brian are excellent hosts. They even grilled us some lobsters that the fisherman delivered to our dock. Best sunsets. Loved everything about it. 💕💕💕👣🐚🌴☀️🍍🥥🛥🌅

WOW
Jerry and I loved every minute. The Bungalow is clean and comfortable. It is equipped with everything you need. The view is breathtaking. The clean raked beach is about 50 steps from the porch. We were able to purchase fresh fish and lobster from the fisherman that stopped at the dock daily. Jess and Brian make your stay wonderful. They took us snorkeling, fishing, and jet sking. Edwin and Edmar (there helpers) are there whenever you need or want anything. Reef and Jackson (there dogs) will greet you everyday and would love to play fetch the coconut. Edwin built us a fire in the pit every night so we could sit by the fire and enjoy the view of the sea. Brian cooked us lobster over the open fire on our 45th wedding anniversary after taking us snorkeling. Edmar built a grill right outside our door while we were there. It wasnt finished before we left so we will be enjoying that next year because we will definately be back. Thank You guys for the best vacation we have ever had. Pat and Jerry from cold Wisconsin.

Beautiful and Comfortable stay with a Fantastic Location and Friendly, Helpful Hosts
So pleased to have booked our stay at Never Winter Resort. Great tropical air, cozy (and spotless!) bungalow. Truly a hidden gem on the North side, fantastically positioned for an easy drive to either East or West end of the island. Communication was super easy with timely responses. Jessica and Brian are wonderful hosts ready at a moments notice to answer questions or to even breakout the amazing water toys or take you on an excursion. Waking up to tropical nature sounds is a wonderful start before coffee on the cozy screened in front porch. An unique and beautiful sunset over the mangroves sets up a nice bonfire-side chat with an evening cocktail (or fresh coconut water – straw in the coconut of course!). We are anxious to plan a prompt return to this slice of paradise. We owe great memories to Jess, Brian, Jackson, Reef and Edwin.

Never Winter is the most relaxing and beautiful location we have ever been to!!!!
How do I begin to describe Never Winter.... or perhaps the best way to start is to say we NEVER wanted to leave. Brian and Jessica Piasecki.. the owners of Never winter...set off on their adventure to create an ideal location for couples and families to get away and enjoy the beauty of Roatan... they accomplished that in a big way. From the moment we met Brian at the airport (he picked us up and even took us to the grocery as we headed back to Never Winter) we knew we were in for something special. When we arrived we were showed our 1 bedroom cottage and immediately fell in love with our surroundings. QUIET...PEACEFUL...TRANQUIL and one of the most amazing views of the Caribbean you could ask for. The cottage has everything you could ask for... a full kitchen, air conditioning, a nice size bedroom, bathroom and really cool outdoor shower (which is very private and part of the cottage...just outside and complete with a Palm tree growing in the middle of it!!). The front screened in porch is very comfortable and amazing to watch the sunsets from if you choose...but watching the sunsets from the hammock or from the dock is the way to go... you will never see such spectacular sunsets anywhere else. Our host Brian was there to service our every need. Whether we needed a ride into town or wanted to visit a restaurant he took us. Brian and Jessica offered us a wide array of water activities to do. Everything from water skiing, knee-boarding, tubing, snorkeling, boat trips to WEST END or simply just cruising on the Caribbean. They also has some really nice Stand Up Paddle boards to use at our leisure to explore the beautiful Caribbean right out our front door. We had so much fun snorkeling and tubing and Paddle boarding and have already booked out next vacation with them,,,but this time for TWO WEEKS!!! We were also very lucky to have TWO other hosts greet us every morning, afternoon, evening... they were Jackson and Reef. They are the two dogs that Brian and Jessica have at the property. You could always count on Reef to escort you on your walks up and down the beach and Jackson was every vigilant keeping an eye on the Ocean for the fisherman that would stop by and sell us fresh seafood caught only hours ago (fresh lobster, Conch, barracuda, snapper, and so much more). I cannot say enough about how wonderful this place is... there is only one downside about Never Winter.. and that is that once you visit you will NEVER want to leave!!!!

Perfect Island Hideaway!
We were looking for a small rental on the water close to the east side....and Never Winter checked off all the boxes and more! Never Winter had a complete kitchen, big bathroom with an outdoor shower (but enclosed to keep out the bugs) and an enclosed sun porch for watching the sun set! This made my husbands birthday trip as he gets bit by everything. A must for me are plush soft bath towels....and Jess and Brian had them. Brian took us on a snorkeling tour. We saw tons of fish. We then had lunch at the beach bar over the water (La Sirena) where we had the best rum punches ever. He woundn’t give me the exact recipe but only the ingredients so I can try at home. We had a rental car and spent one day at Camp Bay Beach where we were the only ones there for 4 hours. But when the beach stretches for miles we were willing to share. The turn off is hard to find. It is a couple of miles before you get to the Camp Bay lodges. We stopped in Punta Punta on the way home from the beach and had ceviche at a place called Yurumei. It is a Pink building on the water side. The food was excellent. The owners Oscar and Karla were there and invited us down to the “over the water palapa “ to share the local spiced rum. Brian and Jess along with Jackson and Reef (their dogs) made our vacation perfect.
