FREEZING
The room was amazingly beautiful and the hosts were helpful. The problem was the room was freezing and would not get warm. Luckily it was just a couples getaway so I was able to run home and get a small heater. If you are going to be open in the winter make sure the heater works!! We will definitely stay again just not during the winter.

Rooms were Covid clean, updated with no musty smell. We enjoyed an evening at the fire pit. The “fireplace” in the unit was especially unique, as was the glittery light fixture. The location was great, out of the bustle of Rockport or Camden but close to everything.

The property was well kept and clean and immediately caught our attention upon arriving and we knew we had made a good decision to stay there. Silvia and Jim were very attentive and nice to meet. Will definitely stay there again.

This was a working vacation and the hotel was centrally located to where we needed to be. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Due to Covid regulations they made an extra effort to accommodate us with coffee delivered to our room.The only downside was the mattress was on the soft side and not as firm as I was use to. It was a very enjoyable stay.

Anniversary Weekend
Room and premises very clean and aesthetically pleasing to the eye. We were able to Check-in over the phone, and the rooms had keypad locks. Sanitation stations were near every room as well as in the picnic areas. Plenty of takeout options nearby with beautiful scenery. We will definitely be going back!

Great Stay at Starlight Lodge
Had an amazing stay at the Starlight Lodge. The owners are so nice. When they found out that my wife and I were on our honey moon, they upgrade our room and also provided a bottle of wine.

The room was very nice and I had a very good night of sleep here (the best sleep in some time). The reason I had to reduce the rating is a slight irritation experienced during check-in. Expedia informations says to check in by 9pm, and I arrived at around 8:30pm. The gentleman who was there made like he was showing displeasure saying office closes at 8pm and I should have called earlier. First of all I know I arrived later than expected but then he’s providing mismatching information. I thought the bit of condescension I detected was uncalled for. When I checked out it was a different, and the lady theee was very pleasure, almost the opposite. (She was busy talking to another guest, but otherwise I may have talked to her about the check-in hour issue.)

We are sorry for your check in experience and he certainly did not mean to make you feel uncomfortable. We usually keep the office open until 9 anyways and sometimes later. Most times he is always joking as he loves to meet new people

Rooms are suitable and clean, only stayed one night. Staff is very pleasant, our tv didn't work and was replaced right away. Breakfast was limited to coffee cake & beverage. Nice bakery just a short distance from hotel. Overall nice inexpensive place for a short stay.

The bathroom was super tiny ,but clean.Beds were clean and comfortable. I didnt get the room I reserved . It should have had two queen beds and s pull out sofa ,it did not have a pull out sofa or a sofa at all.

Great place to stay
Nice place great little pool. Management was very friendly and helpful. There’s a Flatbread Pizza restaurant (excellent) a short walk ( < 5 minutes) from the lodge. Simple, clean and quiet! No frills and not real fancy, but I would recommend and would stay here again.

It was conveniently located; very quiet; comfortable bed. Great coffee in the office. Would have enjoyed having a coffee pot in the room though. Water pressure in shower was great and plenty of hot water! The linens had an odd, unpleasant smell to them (albeit faint, my husband couldn’t smell it).

The staff were wonderful and the room was a surprise. It was elegantly decorated, frig, microwave and TV. The mattress was uncomfortable, we had two queens and we both felt like we were either rolling off or rolling to the middle. THE BIG PROBLEM WAS NOISE. The room behind us had their tv on loud until at 1215AM until I beat on the wall and they shut it off. Kids were running up and down the porches until 11PM. With earplugs on, they stopped but not the thin walls between us and the room next to us. The good side was the staff, the service, they had wonderful coffee, pound cake and they were as delightful as could be. Yes we could have called them about the noise, guess we should have, but for a one night stay who cares? That's travel.

No maid service
The walls of the room are super thin. Conversations and noise are easily heard. When people checked in next door, it sounded like they were throwing elephants around. The heating/cooling system was odd in that it was difficult to control a comfortable room temperature. It was either extremely hot or extremely cold. We were there three nights and never once did they come and give us clean towels nor make the bed. The making of the bed is no big deal but emptying trash and providing clean towels is a big deal. The room did appear clean and was nice. The outside of the lodge was also nice in appearance. The folks in charge friendly. The volume control on the television must have a regulator. The volume was so low we had to put on closed caption. It was affordable but I think I would pay a few dollars more per day just to have fresh towels and an empty trash can.

We are so sorry you had a bad experience, when someone checks in for more than one night we do let them know we do not automatically go into your room each day and that is why we ask you put the door hanger on the outside of your door each morning. Plus we will exchange towels for you at any time. Sorry for the miscommunication.

This was a very nice dog friendly motel. The room was large and comfortable. The continental breakfast was very minimal-just snack items with coffee & juice. The managers were very nice & talkative.

Adequate, but I was glad to leave.
Mattress and pillows were old, very uncomfortable, and needed replacement. Bathroom was very small and I couldn't take a shower. The freezer in the room refrigerator was totally caked with frost and unusable. I was in the area to attend a family funeral in Rockland. As a senior on fixed income, I couldn't afford much, but I had expected better value for my dollar during the winter off season. The room was adequate for my needs, but I was glad to leave.

Enjoyable stopover on our journey North
We initially had a rather bizarre welcome but once checked in and advised of breakfast times & local eateries we settled in for a very comfortable stay. Although there were no coffee/tea making facilities in the room, there was a microwave, WiFi, two big double beds and TV - I suppose what you would expect of a typical Motel. Breakfast was a selection of cake, muesli bars, coffee/tea etc. located in the reception area which we took back to our room - the banana cake was delicious! We didn't use the pool facilities due to the time of year. All in all a good stopover on our journey north.
