Pros: Very quiet even with quite a few rooms occupied. Staff was very courteous and friendly.
Cons: Underwent a remodel over three years ago but everything looks good. The addition of the K-Bob's restaurant was a great idea.
Having not been in Roswell for about three years I knew the Sally Port to be a favorite to people passing through. Very accessible and convenient for just about anything a person might need.

It was pk

The bathroom in our room smelled like moldy water. It made the room have a bad smell to . other than that . there was no drinking water in the soda machines.

This is a basic but well updated hotel which is a good value. The rooms are large. They could be a little cleaner but were decent overall.

I enjoyed my stay and the hotel. The shower pressure not good and they didn't make up the room. No big deal as I did it an easy to do.. The rooms are very spacious and good beds and good tv. It was all good with exception of the shower but the water was hot on a positive note.

Decent

Posted Jan 8, 2015
Pros: We got a Suite for under $90 so that was great. We had inside room so we were plenty warm.
Cons: Need to improve hot water in shower. Exercise equipment needs to have rust removed.
Location: We stayed here and went to the Carlsbad Caverns for the day -- worked out great. :)
Decent hotel with a good breakfast. I couldn't get a hot shower -- just warm. The pool was closed for a few weeks, which we didn't realize until we got there. Looks like they painted it.

Good hotel for stay or transit

Posted Dec 28, 2014 on Hotels.com
It is a comfortable hotel well priced. However there are issues with shower tub where water did get clogged. The hotel management was prompt and kind enough to transfer us to a different room. Many stay at this hotel as a transit to Santa Fe or Colorado

Not what we were expecting

Posted Dec 26, 2014
Pros: Staff, size of room
Cons: Pool, hot tub, breakfast
Our room wasn't ready at 3...we were told to return around 4. Indoor pool water was not warm and water was murky and green. We couldn't see below the water's surface. As my boys tried to enjoy themselves in the pool, one of the main reasons we chose this hotel, I sat in a chair covered with a towel. Another adult in our group wore his coat the whole time. The hot tub was lukewarm and had no bubbles. Room was satisfactory. Breakfast didn't impress my husband but others in our group enjoyed it. Front desk employees were very polite and worked hard to please customers.

On a busy street but surprisingly quiet

Posted Dec 25, 2014
Pros: Within walking distance of several restaurants.
Cons: Nothing to suggest
Location: Roswell, of course, is known for its early association with UFO's. We had visited the UFO on a previous visit; it's an interesting experience.
Best Western is coming of age. This facility is noticeably above the quaint Best Westerns I've experienced over the years. There are two BW's a half block apart on the same street, thus the importance of knowing it as the "....Sally Port Inn and Suites." Everything was quite comfortable and working correctly.
